[Q] Help! Root and recovery .. How ?

Hi everyone my name is yuval and I have a problem with my phone 'Samsung Gulaxy SL i9003'.
I bought my device almost 3 yers ago. I bought it from abraod and I brought it to my country. After a while I discovered that I can't update the android verison so I have been stuck with android 2.2.1
A friend told me about a way to update with cooked rom. Soon, I found myself looking in all forums for a good one, with explanations.
today I dont sure if my device rooted beacuse I did someting but I cant do recovery or, I dont really know how to do it .
first I have installed all the drivers on my computer. then, I did backup to my phone .I went through all the steps in the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
(I download SuperOneClick and enter "ROOT"). After that, an app called Superuser was added to my applications list.
Now I want to install 2 things, jelly been/ice cream and plugin of beats audio. the problem is that I dont know how to do that.
should I change the kernel version ? and maybe I didn't root it right.
Please help me,I'm so confused, I need explanations step by step how to : root my phone right

Did you read the xda rules you cannot ask for help in the development section please from now on post all your questions in the general forum the devs will help you out with your problems

How to regain your android mobile warranty after rooting

How to unroot the device to regain the warranty period??????​
This is the easiest method to unroot your device
jst follow ths steps:-
firstly download the SuperSU application from here(also given in the attachment)
now install this by selecting yes in the popup come of updating libraries
now go to setting in the SuperSU app
scroll downward till you see the option FULL UNROOT

by flashing the original rom means stock rom of your device whatever it may be

regain warranty
thru, but I have a custom rom , It's better than the original.....

thts the benefit of custom rom:silly:

There is already a thread on this app by the developer here. No reason to have it. Did you ask his permission to post his app? Also just unrooting your phone does not regain your warrenty.

[Q] Really Weird Root Problem?

I have this really weird root problem on my note 2 SGH-i317.
Ok so one day Supersu told me to update my binaries, i did and rebooted. Then guess what? LOST ROOT. YEP. I was figuring a solution for 1 hour, until i uninstalled supersu and everything was fine and rooted again. I was happy, but now without supersu everything just gets allowed without any prompts. Tried installing Supersu and the binaries again, still same problem, uninstalled again. back to root. I use root checker pro to check root.
I then tried installing Superuser, everything went OK until i noticed that it was doing NOTHING. I still had root, but the app was literally doing nothing. No apps in the apps list, no prompts to allow or deny, NOTHING. It was just wasting space so i just uninstalled it.
To make a long story short, i need prompts for root access in apps, but i am not getting it. Supersu breaks root, and Superuser does absolutely NOTHING. Any fix guys? Running latest CM android version 4.3.

just use the preferences/settings in SuperSU /superuser > tick automatic response> tick allow or prompt or deny . its that simple, does not need fix:victory:

Last two threads created dont appear to have been created

How would you find out what problems you might be having causing missing threads in this forum. Couldn't find them via tapatalk where I created them or via the user control panel under "all subscribed threads" anyone know? Thanks

Did you tick "subscribed " when you post? you need to subscribe as you post , than only you can find it under subscribed. If not go here and try click on participated

didn't find "participated" in that link but I have that in tapatalk and found nothing there. I'll have to check in that app for the subscribe settings. thanks anyway.

[Completed] SuperSU Code Doesn't Update. Please Help

Hi everyone. I bought a new phone. It's a local brand called General Mobile Discovery. I updated to Android 4.4.2 from developer website. 2 days ago i tried to root the device using framaroot 1.9.3 but it failed. I installed Kingo Root on my pc and root the decive in 2-3 minutes without problems.
My phone had a notification yesterday that SuperSU needs to be updated. So i clicked the notification and updated it from google play store. Then there was another notification. "SuperSU code needs to be updated"
I tried to update but failed all the time. You can see screenshots in the picture below. It's Turkish language but i think it won't be a problem. I always chose "Normal" because i don't know what "TWRP/CWM" means. In the last image it says "Failed. Restart the phone and try again" Did i do something wrong? Please help me guys. Have a nice day all.

Thank you for your help and advice. I'll have a look at the link. General Mobile is a local brand sold in Turkey. I am not %100 sure but i think they are supplying their phones from Gionee in China.
I only want to root and use original 4.4.2 rom. If i have to install a custom rom, will my contacts and all files still be there or will they be deleted?

I don't know your device or how or what you can flash on it.
Always best to backup anything you don't want to lose anyway... To a pc.
Again, ask about all this in the section I linked. ?
