After a 3 months effort to create a cwm for galaxy grand quattro (GT-I8552) (quad core qualcomm blood) recently we discovered that the bootloader of GT-I8552 is locked...
Solutions for this is seeking through tis thread .. I am not expert in unlocking bootloader since this is a new device ... Expert devs are invited to solve this problem. ...

samsung should give the option to unlock bootloaders on all phones. They're not good manufactures like Oppo, Oppo phones come with cwm and root, and thery give users official builds of color rom, cyanogenmod, and paranoid android.

However I did manage to find one that is almost compatible with my phone ..

No. You have to port the ROM first.
Look around, I'm sure there are other great Custom-ROMs for your Xperia device
Another thing to think of with the custom rom is that it supports your carriers drivers. Whats the good of a custom rom if your data doesn't work.

How do you unlock it? That depends on the manufacturer of your device, the device itself, and the carrier you've purchased the device from (if applicable).
I've already installed a custom rom and I don't think that I unlocked any bootloader soft of thing ???

it is not always necessary, it depends on your phone and the available methods to install roms.
