[Q]Hasoon's one x Evita tool kit. Does it still exist? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi all. I tried to find the tool kit for my Rogers one x Evita to root my phone. About 5 months ago I unlocked the boot loader and had troubles with rooting. I gave up and bought a One. I would now like to finish my one x. I went to Hasoon2000 post and went to his Dev-Host mirror site but could not find the file. Can anyone direct me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

You have an unlocked bootloader, right? You don't need a toolkit, all you need to do is flash TWRP recovery then you flash flash a rooted ROM.
PS. Questions go in the q&a section.

I'm in the same boat. Just got the one s (tmobile us version) and rooted/unlocked it right away. Now trying to get the updates with out bricking my device. A how to guide would be very helpful or at least a link to the ruu.
Think I need an 02 ruu but I'm not sure

Step 1: Relock.
Step 2: Run the RUU.
Guide: http://www.htconeforum.com/forum/ht...e-your-htc-one-s-back-100-stock-relocked.html

Noob question

Would there be any reason in downgrading hboot if I have S-Off? Which I do. But I just need to know if I can just flash roms and such now without the cmd commands.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Not really..you can now flash boot.img and radios from within recovery. There is no real reason as of yet, to downgrade.

[Q] New to HTC One S

hello everybody! ive had a iphone for about 2 months now and couldnt take it anymore so i just bought a htc one s! i want to root it but i want to make sure i know everything that need to be done. i see the videos and the step by step processes but i have a few questions. every tutorial i see looks to be done on ics. i bought the phone and it was already on android 4.1.1. do the tutorials still apply? also when i plug my phone into my laptop it doesnt have the charge only/ sd mount (or whatever its says) like it does on ics version....it just says usb connected and wen i tap that it goes into hotspot and tethering options. it is a htc one s S4 so can someone please help me? thanks
You can still unlock boot loader the same way. To get s-off go through the development section till you find moonshine s-off
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
Ok now what exactly does s off do and do I have to do it in order to root?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
No you don'tHAVE to do it. All you have to do is unlock boot loader. S-off just allows you to flash whenever you want. If your s-on you have to flash the boot.IMG from the rom.zip through adb
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
Oh ok. So how do I go by rooting this thing when I'm on android 4.1.1
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
You can use hasoon2000's toolkit to unlock the boot loader then install a recovery
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
Ok ill give that a try

You don't necessarily have to s-off except for certain things. If you want to flash custom ROMs, can be accomplished even without S-Off

There are these ROMs TrickDroid and zenROM. Sense 5 based. Head over to the Development section you'll find them there. Read the requirements for flashing the ROMs. If it says S-Off is a must only then should you go for it. Otherwise no need.

It's not that difficult. Also try non-sense ROMs like CM 10.1, ILLUSION 2.0 by $droyd$ (very good and stable ROM), PACman ROM.
best of luck.

[Q] HTC One X Rom Installation aborted

Hello everyone,
I followed the instructions from a video on youtube (How to change Hboot+Install Jellybean on your HTC OneX ,from Flo WolfOne) to uprgrade my HTC One X from icecream to Jellybean.
Before doing anything, my CID was VODAP021 and Hboot was 0.95.
After flashing VODAP021 firmware.zip, with bootloader unlocked again, my Hboot is Hboot-1.36.
I flashed recovery successfully
I flashed RHD22.0 rom boot.img successfully
I fastboot erased cache successfully
Into recovery, I wiped: - data factory- cache - dalvik cache
I installed RHD22.0 jellybean Rom from zip and got this message on the screen:
Installing Rom....
Finding update package......
Opening update package.....
Installing update.......
Installation aborted
After, I tried other roms and got the same above message. Now I am back to the rom I am using before:RHD 9.1.0 by mike 1986
Can anyone please tell me what i did wrong? I want Jellybean!
Thank you!
The first thing you did wrong is follow a video on YouTube. The second thing you did wrong is post in this forum as it looks like you have an endeavor and this is the evita forums. You can confirm in your bootloader.

There are 2 versions on the one X evita and endeavor both with different hardware. This is the evita forum q&a.

I'm having trouble installing Elemental-X

I am running kickdroidXL on my at&t hock, and everytime I try installing Elemental-x, I can't not boot past HTC's splash screen. I've tried all default settings, and none work. I'm currently on whatever firmware the 3.18 ruu comes with.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Also I'm unlocked, s-off, super-cid, and have official twrp 2.3.3.0 recovery
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Is there a reason you didn't post this in the Elemental thread instead of creating a new thread? Which build of Kickdroid? Which build of Elemental? Have you read the Kickdroid thread regarding the steps you need to take to stop signal problems and reboots?
Sent from my Evita
Latest version of both. I posted here as you're not supposed to post questions in the dev thread as it clutters up the thread. I posted here because it is help and troubleshooting, which I need help with.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
And I don't have any issues on rebooting or signal dropping.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Interesting, you'd be the first person to not experience signal loss on a Sense 5 ROM without upgrading your firmware. You could try updating your TWRP to the 2.6 version, see if that helps.
Sent from my Evita
Well, honestly, I don't have phone service so I can't know if I do or not.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Um, you don't have service but you claim to not be having issues with signal? Am I missing something here?
Sent from my Evita
Um. I never said anything about signal?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
What do you mean by service?
Sent from my Evita
As I do not pay for phone service. No calling or texting. Only using WiFi to call or text.

If I can chime in here. It looks like he's not even able to fully boot into the ROM after installing the kernel. I haven't used Elemental before. Does it have an aroma installer with different setting options?
Also looks by not having service he means that he is only using the phone via WiFi for apps and such.
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yeah it does and you're right. I can't boot past the HTC quietly brilliant splash screen. I've changed every setting possible and it simply won't boot.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
Have you tried a more recent version of TWRP as timmaaa suggested?
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Yes, that was my bad and I mistakenly thought I had 2.3.3. I really meant 2.6.3
