I've already posted this question in the accessories forum. A digitizer is strictly speaking not an accessory though so I'm reposting it here. It's not my intention to flood all forums with the same question, just trying to correct my mistake.
After having bought one replacement digitizer that didn't work at all, I would like to solicit some suggestions what a better source could be. Any recommendations would be most welcome. Maybe someone got some experience with a good ebay or aliexpress seller. I'd like to know it.
If anyone else is in the same position I could only advice you to avoid digitizers with the marking on the cable starting with "o-film mcf 101".

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone would be able to help me with my question/problem. I'm kind of new to this site, so please excuse me if I seem noobish. I tried looking everywhere in the forums for something similar to my predicament, but I didn't find anything. Either that, or I didn't look very well.
Anyways, I'll try to be as brief as possible. I bought a broken Samsung Galaxy S2 with a cracked screen and broken digitizer for $100. My plan was to swap out everything with replacement parts, but when I took it apart to check the model number (because I noticed some differences from my i9100) I found out that it was the Korean-type S2. The model number is SHW-M250S. I looked everywhere on Ebay and Amazon for the lcd screen and digitizer for this exact model, and nothing came up except the regular i9100 lcd+digitizer replacements. I did check on Amazon, and the closest thing I was able to find for the shw-m250s model are these items that are in the link below. Other than the lcd screen and digitizer, it also comes with a brand new housing and other parts I don't need. Which is just making it more expensive. Link below:

My question is, can I use a regular i9100 lcd screen and digitizer replacement part for my SHW-M250S model, or at least use the (SHW-M250L) model part that I found on Amazon? The SHW-M250L parts look very similar to the one that I have. (That "L" could be a typo) If not, can someone send me a link to a site or place where I can buy ONLY the lcd screen and digitizer part for my exact model?

I need one of these as i ripped the one in my fiance's phone. 25$ is a little pricy, and I almost just thought about buying a phone with a broken screen/digitizer and taking it out of there, but cheapest i can find on that front is $40-60. All the sites i've contacted that sell the digitizers and front housing assemblies do not carry this piece. Is it really that rare?

It's a bit high, not by much. I've found it for cheaper, but you have to buy more than one unfortunately.
Oh well then. I know I'd seen the digitizers ranging from $22-$45, and then found it on amazon for under $7, so i thought I'd ask around, see if maybe someone knew about a site I didn't.
I'd still do a bit more searching. You never know . You might come across another site that's cheaper. I usually search around for at least a few days before buying. Another approach you may want to try is searching for places that sell parts for the OG EVO 4G. They usually also sell parts for the Shift, and other HTC Devices.

Posted this in the other galaxy s2 forum since 727 was not listed on the forums page (had to search for it).
Anyway I'm helping a friend replace his broken screen/digitizer and I've noticed that the cheapest ones on ebay (or anyone for that matter) are about $150. Even iPhone digitzers are cheaper so I thought that maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Anyone know of a good place to get them cheaper for the I-727?
The cheapest digitizers on eBay are $120. It doesn't matter if they're from China or from US, AFAIK you get exactly the same one.
You can't and won't get anything cheaper. Due to your inquiry I can safely assume you don't know one fact - unlike other manufacturers, Samsung packages LCD+Digitizer as a single unit, and separating them in anything but a dedicated lab with special tools is extremely hard / impossible. This is the reason for the cost.

Was just looking for advice on replacing a phone screen(or any part, in general). Does anyone know of some good sites were you can buy replacement parts and tool kits that are reasonably priced? I have a LG Nexus 5 that I dropped and the digitizer went bad when the screen cracked and I am looking to replace it(With the right parts and tool kit) but, so far haven't found a good site to buy the parts and tools from so I turned to the forums. I fix other phones quite a bit but, I was buying the parts from a local shop the recently closed so I am looking for a new source for parts and tools and figured the people on here would know best.
