PACMAN ROM on XT925 - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been wondering, since I just flashed PAC-Man ROM into my RAZR HD I want to know if anyone else that have of had this ROM recommends it.
As from now it runs pretty well, but I wanted to know if there are better roms than this one in terms of performance/battery.

Try different ones and find out. Just make a nano backup of your current version. I prefer PACMAN but everybody has their own preference.

Stable Rom for this phone?

Im buying a HTC One S this week and I plan on rooting it. Ive looked through alot of roms and im not sure on which one to use.
A good CM9 or CM10 rom would be greatly appreciated.
PS. Whats A .img file? On my other androids you installed roms by using clockworkmod recovery to install .zip files...
Sense roms are very stable for this phone.
I recommend you to install TrickDroid or Viper.
Well, first of all make sure your One S has the S4 processor otherwise your options for roms will be very limited.
There are plenty of stable roms but the most stable are the Sense-based ones since they are the stock roms modified just like LalyGirl suggested.
.img files are images of partitions that need to be flashed. The most common one that you will encounter is the boot.img which contains booting instructions and the kernel. Because HTC has chosen to make it hard for us, most likely you will need to flash the boot.img via fastboot using a computer. Yes you could use CWM or TWRP (the latter is better imo), to flash zip files but you would still need to flash the kernel separately unless if you are lucky and your hboot version is less than 1.13.

i'm quite partial to the AOKP Jelly Bean rom, but if you want sense then i also recommend trickdroid (if you have the S4 processor) but from what i understand, the AOKP Jelly Bean port works with both the S3 and S4

either cm10 nightlies or official jeally bean miui.us

Correct, if you bought it from radio shack, Walmart, best buy, or t mobile in the U.S. You're fine, if you got it from ebay it might be a bit tricky. Check what your processor is clocked at (use a app from the play store) if its at 17xx=S3 15xx=s4. Your welcome, I recommend is for a stable ROM get Viper One s. For a aosp, but you don't care about little bugs, check ROM manager for the official cm10. your welcome!!
I would recommend the Viper One S. It's smooth stable and amazing battery life.

CM9 = Ice Cream Sandwich
CM10 = Jellybean
There's a lot of roms available. CM10, Rasbeanjelly, Metal Dragon Overlord, Paranoid Android, Blackbean 6 and more.
Most stable is the stock one.

Slimbean just released their 3.0 version which is based off android 4.12.
It has everything.

I would have to say stock rooted or cm10 stable would be the best bet. Rasbean jelly is stable as well, but it is a port from gsm nexus so there is no SMS split.

Rustyjay also released a "rustified" version of his port of rasbeanjelly that has SMS split and he also posted a flashable zip for just the MMS apk with the extra customization menu settings.

I'm using Slim Bean 3.0 right now but I think AOKP Milestone 1 has more in the way of customization the two are pretty close though both have been stable daily ROMs for me. I always use AIR's weekly kernel release with whichever ROM I run. Just start flashing and see which one you like. Try 'em all I don't think you can go wrong most if not all 4.12 for the NS4G are stable and have similar options.
Then you can turn around and find a 4.2 ROM in a few days. They're getting close. Happy flashing.

Best Android 4.2 based STABLE rom?

As the title says. Had it but haven't unlocked for a long time. Looking for 4.2 rom.
My Nexus 10 is better than your tablet. Hah.
Cyanogen mod 6.1 is what you're probably looking for, fastest and most stable rom on the market!

Ive been running pacman for a while and its going really well as a daily driver for over a week now.

Also interested in this, had pacman but would loop crash system ui with some settings conflicting I guess. And then I couldn't find the "sweet spot". Tried liquid but had notification problems, some apps wouldn't appear in the status bar.
So for now back to CleanRom till I get time to test more.

I will have to try this, I am running Jellybeans 12 atm because I acutally like Touchwiz themed to look like AOSP, never really liked using the launchers like Nova etc (not sure why). I may try it out just to see what 4.2 has etc.
if it's the AOSP look you thrive for but ejjoy the TouchWiz ROM bean is perfect for that. however, if you decide you want to give another TW ROM a try, I personally run my own rom with my own theme, but I ported bean's theme to Team Synergy's ROM, and also CleanROM.
but for a 4.2.2 ROM my personal favorite is Liquid-RC1, Very stable for me good battery life, and has the most features from what I've ran.
If you would like to run a nice 4.1.2 AOSP ROM I highly suggest, either AOKP nov27 build. or ParanoidAndroid 2.5.6
Paranoid Android also has kick ass 4.2 ROM out, along with PAC ROM it's called, it combines the goodies from CM, Paranoid Android, and AOKP ROMS and put's it all into one. Great ROM, but since there's so many features, many are overlapping eachother, or simply are not enabled yet. BUT I still think it's a great ROM!

Hi guys just had a question that i hope some of you can help me with. I flashed PA 3.10 about 2 days ago and can't find my titanium backups. I have been unable to find them. My internal sd has had some crazy changes to the folders as well. Any Ideas?

I agree. Liquidsmoothe is a great 4.2.2 AOSP ROM. Has anyone attempted a 4.2TW ROM?
for tibu

backup location.
search whole device
use current folder
tibu will restart and you can batch restore

What? No good stable native roms? Am I missing something?

Holy ****, Cyanogenmod sucks on this phone. It's so unstable I can't think of recommending this to anyone. Is there a stable rom without bloat?
search for Elemental X by nitroglycerin been using it 3 days now not bad 4.2.2 still has video glitch w gallery

Dunno if your specifically looking for a 4.2 ROM or not, but Vitreous 1.93 is Android 4.1.2 and is very stable and easily the best available ROM right now for the Razr HD XT926. No bloatware.

not sure why you say CM sucks. Ive been running 10.1 for a couple weeks and i think its amazingly good. So much better than stock it feels like a brand new phone now.

I don't agree with you at all regarding cm or cm based roms, but there are a ton of stocked based roms on droidrzr. I have been using nexesque for awhile and it's a lot better than vitreous imo.

Make CM10.2 safestrap compatible

As you can see from my signature, I have a non-bootloader unlockable phone. I used to run CM10.1 on my RAZR MAXX even thru all the nightlies and I really want to run pure CM on this phone. I'm running Blurry HD 1.2 on safestrap because it's one of the few roms I can run.
Since we have the ability to build CM, how would someone change the build to make it safestrap compatible? (I was running 10.1 on safestrap before)
