I need help finding a way on rooting my Optimus Zone if anybody can help me it would be very helpful.

i dnt knw how to root any android ..i have a very old htc hero t-mobile g2 touch phone.. it shows a firmware update but it stops installing when it reaches half.. its android 1.5 now i want to root it but i dnt knw how could anyone help me plz?? really appreciate any help
