How to report issues and post them on the thread:
Please begin by answering the following questions and gathering the respective logs needed to provide more data.
No data, No possible fix. We can't fix what we don't know is broken.
1. Is the issue reproducible?
2. What are the steps to reliably reproduce the issue?
3. Did you do a full wipe?
4. Are you on the default kernel?
5. Would you be able to recall the last time the issue was NOT present?
6. Were you able to gather the appropriate logs and post them on pastebin?
7. Please follow this guide on getting proper logs HERE. (Great job by tonyp for the guide)
Again, if you're posting about an issue, please include the answers to these AND a link to a log on pastebin.

[ROM][ICS][22.06] AOKP for Bravo - Build 39 - Good news everyone! - Stock HBOOT only

Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 with tweaks and stuff
Sorry for stealing the banner, I just couldnt' resist
Features list
In this thread we can discuss the ROM, share impressions and screenshots and so on, but please, report bugs on Github.
Important HBOOT note
AOKP works on Data++ HBOOT as of now, but I do not officially support it, so it might just exceed 180MB one day, and I will not publicly announce it because I honestly don't care. So please, stick to stock or custom HBOOT and make sure you have enough space on /system before flashing.
Download
All versions on min.us: http://minus.com/mbTSqS0sK
GApps (from RootzWiki/goo-inside): http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps#Ice_Cream_Sandwich_.28Android_4.x.29
Recommended A2SD script: mounts2sd 2.2.6 http://www.cxsr.eu/pubftp/index.php?dir=m2sd/
Do not use amarullz's data2sdx script. It causes bootloops with the way init.d scripts are handled in AOKP.
Flash ROM, then GApps (best without rebooting).
Switching from Sandvold's rom/CM9 could work without data wipe, but don't blame me when it crashes. Or just backup and restore.
Changelog
Build 40
Synced with latest upstream source
Build 39 (again, md5sum f382a854a59ddfcc8d40551d4b17d52b)
Switched to HTC 2.3 market keys. Let me know how it works
Build 39
Enabled HWA and mostly synced with Evervolv feature wise

Some minor changes I can't really remember
Beta 5c
synced with latest AOKP
fixed WiFi (this time for real)
Beta 5, Beta 5b
Failed builds
Beta 3 "No codename"
minor changes mostly, but since you asked for it...
a lot of changes to the way I build stuff (internally), regressions may be there
clean rebuild against latest AOKP source
weather on lockscreen
more locations should be supported by the weather provider
updated icons
Beta 2 "Unicorns!"
update rebuild against latest AOKP source (aka build 25+)
Lockscreen wallpapers
Torch in power menu
Airplane mode in power menu
LCD density wizard added to fix Market with non-standard densities
Option to show dBm instead of signal bars
Lost of bugfixes, including random reboots etc.

Added AOKP official bootanimation (with unicorns!)
Beta 1 "Hitagi"
clean rebuild against latest AOKP source (aka build 23+)
quick torch feature
end call button in notification
tablet features added (as if we care )
update camera and libs

upstreamed some things, doesn't depend on anything Evervolv except binaries, so pure AOKP now
much lighter, 183MB on /system (thus the codename). Also fits on Data++ w/o OpenWnn (aka Japanese IME)
FrankenBuild 4 http://ompldr.org/vY3A5Yg
rebuild against latest AOKP source (aka build 22)
toggleable adb notification
power key as shutter in camera
weather fixes and improvements (i.e. it's working now)
new GApps package recommended (FULL WIPE)
a lot lighter now, most downloadable apps are removed
FrankenBuild 3 http://ompldr.org/vY29rZA
clean rebuild against latest AOKP source
USB now works
added live wallpapers (yay 227MB /system!)
just a bit more APNs (should work with most US/European carriers, bug Google if it doesn't)
FrankenBuild 2 (http://ompldr.org/vY281dA)
fixed init.d (that means app2sd/data2sd scripts should work now)
update to the latest git
FrankenBuild 1
first release
Huge thanks to Sandvold, drewis, Evervolv and Team Kang people and everyone who reported bugs, tested and compiled to get ICS working on our devices. Without you guys, this could never have existed.
I can't format threads properly. Expect screenshots and updates and stuff in this post.
I also think I'll reserve this one

Hi K900,
preston74 has already merged the DesireHD build from the VirtuousQuattro Team with Sandvolds Rom.
He shared it with me and I modified it for my needs, because I don't need the "Any Hboot" installer script from Miui-Au and I don't like, when an sd-ext partition is used by default.
So mine is a pure CM7r2 Rom.
I know you are building your Rom from source.
But I thought, I share it with you so you maybe you like to compare some stuff and fix some things faster on your build.

Known Bug
Some apps from market are installed to sdcard by default, because it's pre defined in the AndroidManifest.xml of the app.
No problem so far, the apps are working, but as soon as you open the app manager, your phone takes a soft reboot.
If you move these apps back to internal storage with titanium backup, everything works fine again.
And I can't find a way to fix it.
Any suggestions...?
Important note
If anyone else use this Rom - don't report back in this thread. This is not an officially Rom.

I already have ideas on fixing stuff and this will hardly help because it is Evervolv base + AOKP framework and I use AOKP base.

LOL let's say it doesn't, when you only flash the ROM you turn your device into a Nexus S because by default you don't get Nexus 4-ish onscreen nav keys, and (I say it again) modding this out via build.prop will make the OSN look big and ugly. So here, to make this ROM match the "Nexus 4" promise, here I packaged a modded framework-res flashable zip to enable a SIZE-MODDED onscreen nav key experience.
Screenshot:
As usual I don't guarantee the zip will work so back it up before flashing!

Don't forget to use Nova/Apex/Holo to create a shortcut for "Advanced Settings" app and disable capacitive key lights!! You know that looks BEAUTIFUL!

Yea, I check his Goo.im a couple times a day to see what new tidbits have turned up! lol
He posted a new TRaK on the 17th, but that's his "basically stock" kernel, according to him. you can update the version by applying incremental patches
https://www.kernel.org/diff/diffview.cgi?file=/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/incr/patch-3.0.72-73.xz
download and extract the patch, then
patch -p1 < patch-3.0.72-73
do the same for each update

What should the DPI on the GS4 be set to for a stock look? I tried 320 but it stayed small.

Slimbean up and running, and boy does the GS4 feel like a whole new beast Good work!
Guys, I love CWM as much as the next guy, but Dees_Troy has updated TWRP for jflteatt to 2.5.0.2 (loki patched). Flash it with GooManager or get the img directly here.
I've heard a few reports of wonky external SD card issues w/ CWM. TWRP doesn't suffer from anything like that so give it a whirl if you're having issues.
blk_jack you are my hero!!!! Slim on my S4!!!! You may have my sister anyway you'd like!!!!!
Unbelievable, already one of the best roms ready to go. Thank you guys, good job. YESSSSS!

With TWRP, have you had a successful restore yet? anyone?
Sorry, wrong thread. Mod please move to the TWRP thread.
Just an FYI for other users. The APN was selected on ATT and not PTA, and the network mode was not on LTE \ GSM \ WCDMA
This may be due to the fact that I setup the phone before swapping the SIM from my Motorola StarTac.. No Slim?! I use the StarTac!!!

There is an upstream issue with all the jflte builds where audio calling with a headset (bluetooth or line in) doesn't work. Regular bluetooth and regular calling works perfectly.

Frequent Q&A
Q: Is this Rooted?
A: Yes it is. To have the Root privileges, Go to settings>about phone>then tap build number 7 times to enable the developer settings, once enabled, under root access, choose apps and adb and make sure the SElinus is permissive. This is CM common issue atm. (Thanks to @foxxx5oh)
Q: Why doesn't this have Focal?
A: Because Focal doesn't work well on this phone so I removed it as it is usable but laggy.
Q: Trebuchet launcher randomly crashes. WHY?
A: Who knows? Install another launcher then since this is existed on galaxy s also - i9000.
Q: Where is 'fix permission' option in CWM?
A: I believe koush decided to throw away the fix permissions button in CWM because he said it was largely placebo effect and had no real purpose anymore. (Thanks to @cpkelley94)
Q: Dahell, I can't use Google Now.
A: I found that all you have to do to fix Google now is get root explorer, titanium backup or SD maid, remove system app Google search and reinstall from play store... (Thanks to @turtlepa)
Q: My battery drains so fast and I found out that WiFi kept awake and running in background even I disabled it. Why?
A: Due to new Android version permission, Google set up a new option to allow Gapps to scan for nearby networks even when WiFi is off. To disable that, go to settings>WiFi>advance>untick the scanning always available option n u r cool again .
Q: I got Bluetoothshare FC at the setup and every times I turned the Bluetooth on. What was going on?
A: It is one of Slim issue atm. Until Slim team make it to their first stable build, there will be various random bugs here and there so just live with it if u can .
More that has been answered here.

Great work! But unfortunately I'm having trouble downloading this from Goo. It just hangs at 99% finished and eventually stops downloading. I tried downloading from my laptop and my phone, both do the same thing, so i assume this is a problem with Goo. Can anyone else download it?

Man i love Slim every time a new slim rom comes out it becomes my daily driver for at least 2 weeks which is insanely long for my flashoholic self Keep up all the great roms . Its fast clean and thats my favorite
I just came over here from the Sidekick 4G forums (we are waiting for Gingerbread and *with a prayer* maybe some more devs will pick up the device so we can have ICS..)
Anyway, I have been sifting through the many awesome ROMS for this device and I have to say, this is the best ROM I have flashed yet! I flip back and forth through many but I think I found a winner

PLAYFUL PITAYA
This week, PA team members have worked overtime to unravel the previously encountered DSB issues.
The product is back to the usual stability, with a bunch of tweaks all around, but still deserving the beta tag.
Most of the work was put into hardening DSB, but an additional configuration option was also added
as an experiment mainly for those interested in increased speed.
This is more of a "power user" setting as it can have an influence on the battery life
- you have been warned - and is not guaranteed to stay around for later releases.
To mess around with the setting, just run adb shell su -c 'settings put system experimentaldsbfrequency 2'
on your computer, replacing the 2 with any other number of choice.
If you find frequencies that seem to work fine for you and still provide solid battery life, feel free to share them.
Quick pointers for the setting:
-The default value for a newly set up device is 2.
-Lower numbers mean slower, higher numbers mean faster.
-You probably don't want to go into negative numbers. It's the ones that are lower than 0.
-The counter caps out at 20. That is CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.
-Going above the maximum of 20 is not going to change anything... Trust us... Just don't try it at home.
The change log:
-Provide a better flow for bar transitions and DSB
-Add the experimentaldsbfrequency setting (for now)
-Include a pair of themeability changes

I posted this on the other thread but might as well post it here too:
On Alpha 2, after the full wipe and initial setup, "Ok Google" hotword detection works but after I do a reboot it doesn't work. I'm using the PA GAPPS 25/7 and Google Now launcher with XGELS, so Xposed is installed if that helps. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

hahaha I forgot to tell him to build it on 4.5 Alpha 2 but if it works, he'll tell the normal person who builds aospa m7 to include in future updates
Just a heads up people, if using the Alpha2 version with pa_gapps_stock-4.4.4- 20140725 you may need to reboot to update/install off the Play Store
My progress bar wasn't moving for the Play Games update when it came to the "installing" bit (just hung there for 15minutes) and when downloading something else off the store it just hung at "downloading"...Nothing in the notification tray or anything. Just wouldn't start the download
Just thought I'd mention it incase anyone has the same issue so OP doesn't get hassled for a "fix"
