Hey
The swiftkey app is all of speed and predictions. You certainly cant disable the next word predictions.
If you dont want to use the predictions why use swiftkey in the first place? Just go with the stock one.
Good day

At the moment i have HTC Desire, i really miss HTC_Ime_MOD the best keyboard imo. Swiftkey is light and fast and i also bought from amazon app store (it was a big discount - swiftkey for free ). Or maybe another question. When i use prediction and etc. I get words with my native signs like ą, ź, ć, ó, ł, ń etc. If i send sms to someone i can't send it with 160 signs but with less, usually if i use 160 signs with polish signs i am not sending 1 sms but 3 or more - annoying for me.
The best option will be get htc ime mod, but nobody want to port to 4.2.2 - jelly bean, only works on gingerbread.
Anyway stock jellybean keyboard is not good for me.
If someone know how to replace signs from ą to a and other one it will be great, htc ime mod got this feature
Best regards and thanks for Your answer!

Should work on ALL roms
** ROOT IS REQUIRED **
This is a simple application that allows you to use the menu key to unlock the phone from the lockscreen rather than sliding the tab.
Simply run the app, enable the option, and then press menu to unlock the phone when you're on the lockscreen.
Tested on the Nexus One and the Droid.
I mainly wrote this app for people who aren't running CyanogenMod (as that has my trackball unlock already incorporated). If you want to support me, scan the QR code and buy it from the market, but otherwise simply download the attached APK. I'm releasing it for free on XDA because this is my 'home' community and I'm loyal to my roots. (Please don't mirror the APK anywhere else)
Thanks bud, I was waiting for this. You've been a great help to the community. Keep it up!
Love it. Great work.
love it, goes hand in hand with trackball awake, makes screen awakening much faster and smoother process thanx.
Thanks persiansown, cool app!
Tia
Idk
Cool man, could you please add one more function to your app?!
Really hate the vibration on sliding to unlock/answer phonecalls.
Would be good to remove this haptic feedback or give option to turn it off.
When you want to unlock your phone or answer phonecalls most probably you are watching the screen, so this haptic feedback seems pointless, on the contrary it is annoying and kill the battery(every bit helps to save the battery?) and not very good to the lifetime of your phone.
If you can include thefunction to disable the haptic feedback to your app it would be really fascinating
Thanks! Nice app.
Yeah this app will work on G1s running eclair too
Thanks man, I missed the ability to unlock by two presses in 2.1+ ROMs!

Dialer Applications

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what everyone is using as there Dialer??
The Stock one is quite sad considering that you have to click like a few times to call someone...
Is there a application out there that displays all your contacts and you just have to press once on the name to dial?? ( Not like MeContacts that only displays so many for speed dialing)
I was looking at Dialer one but can't seem to download it...seems discontinued or something...
Please give your preference and if you can, why you chose it.
Thank you all for your input.
Chad
check out superdial
There is 2 in the market place at the moment,
1 that is a paid version but says it's for chinese users but we can use it still and the 2nd one has bugs in it and isn't being continued?

me too looking for something like this , checked superdial, not so impressive though.
Check out Youlu. A number of Android sites have recommended it. I just installed it, and though it could use more options (such as disabling dial-sounds, and hiding of email-only contacts), it looks nice.
wow this is actually better than atakephone, i kinda regret paying for it now!
I always had hard time searching contacts to dial.
I used modified acontacts on my donuts. But im now using Dialer One.
It have call log, dialer. contacts at once. easy to use. and its Free
Try it

Going to try Youlu and Dialer one out right now and see which one I like better!
Another vote for Superdial. I've been using it for a few months now, can't live without it. It's definitely one of the best dialers out there.
My main concern is having quick and easy access to contacts without having to click through 17 menus to get to them. I simply start spelling the name of the contact and it appears, tap their name and it's calling. Takes a mere 2 seconds before I'm calling the person I want.

[Theme][ICS]Email widget dark skin

Hey guys,
Because I have a long commute to work and back (1 hour total!!!), today I worked on a new skin for the ICS email widget. I did it because all the white it uses by default did not fit with any of the other widgets I have, and I used to hate it!!!
Here is a screenshot of the result:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

Sadly, I can't edit the header text color while working only on my tab in a subway (lol!), so this will have to do. There is no real info in the header text anyway, so for me it's ok.
I have also created a ZIP (and tested it) that you can flash using CWM for convenience. The zip is attached to this post. Please say thanks if you like it and I hope you enjoy it.
Note that you may need to define your email accounts again. This is normal behavior (added security by Android in case someone tries to tamper with your accounts). Also note that the app is untouched (I like it overall, same as the calendar but the latter has a dark widget :-D), only the widget was skinned.
PS: also feel free to report any issues with the APK or the ZIP in this thread.
Peace,
C.
Thanks! will try now...wanted to ask, how did you make your layout like ICS?
I have to admit that I don't really understand the question.
I am running ICS on my Tab, so I don't have to make the layout, it just is :-D
for me the cwm package works perfectly out of the box.
i love the new widget look, maybe you can make it so the text cannot be seen at all?
spamming thanks buttons (also for work on ICS)!!
Thanks. Looks good. I wish there was a way to make ICS use more screen real estate. The square is driving me a little crazy.
ICS 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 have same email ver 4.1
Indeed, the CWM zip is compatible with all current versions of ICS, including CM9 and AOKP.
Let me know if you encounter issues while using it.
C.

yes, but partially. I have writed some text in the java files in italian to test the app on my friend's phone, so those text will be italian. However, i'm planning to extract string resources from the java code to make it fully translated in various languages. For now i'm focusing on user experience and i wish to know if it is working for most phones. For example I've built it for Android 6 as target version but on my sgs2 plus with CM 13 the app crashs at start, so i need to understand why this happens. So i need testers wich run KitKat or Higher. Thank you very much
Thanks but does it support MMS ?
Just install for me too it crash under cm13... So no way to test...
Understood...so there's a problem with Marshmallow. I' trying to figure it out. As far as i tested this version, it works with all versions of Kitkat and Lollipop with almost no apparently problem. To answer your question, no. For now the app supports only Sms as the idea was to make it as lighter as possible. But this is a feature that will be implemented if i make the app stable and working for all with no crashes so don't need to worry about it

No problem, I am here to help.
For me, ideal english keyboard has numbers above letters for quick access. That's probably all I'm missing in standart Android keyboard.
But if you are thinking in non English world also, there is space for improvement in autocorrect (for example default android keyboard tries to correct every word it doesn't know, which makes autocorrect totaly useless in my language). Also it's really annoying to write special characters (for example á,š,č...), because you have to press letter, wait for a second and than choose from a sub menu. That's actually quite a big delay because you normally have to write many of these characters.
I hope it helps you somehow and sorry for my English.
For me is Accuracy and Predictions.
