I am currently running Venom rom, and I am trying to flash Cyanogenmod onto the phone. When I try flashing it, it gives me an assert error, status 7 error. How can I fix this so I can install Cyanogenmod? Do I need to run a ruu? I have tried installing the kernel for Cyanogen through fastboot both before and after trying to install Cyanogenmod, but it didn't work. So what is the best fix?

Hi!
Tried doing this by myself but got tangled with an error message "AOSP keyboard has stopped". Assuming this is due to flashing with wrong GApps version. My Android version is 4.2.2. and previously flashed with CyanogenMod 11. Please need help finding the right version.
Also need advice on how to re-flash so I can rid myself of the error message. Every time I re-flash the error returns
Hey guys,
so I did the OTA update to 6.0 the other day and it completely ruined my battery life so I decided to go back to 5.1
I unlocked the bootloader through fastboot and then install TWRP also through fastboot. After wiping everything, I downloaded a ROM, moved it to my One and tried to install it how ever I always get either "Error 7" or "Could no find META-INF"
I have tried 3 different ROMS, admitedly all CM13 but they all give me either one of those errors.
Anyone have any idea how I can possibly fix this?
Currently there is no OS on my One.
Thank you!
So last night I went about installing a new custom ROM on my HTC One S, proceeded to unlock via the official app, and completed that step.
Upon attempting to install the custom ROM (that I got from the official CM site, the ROM being CM12, made sure it's for my device), I also deleted the backup I made of the system and now I am stuck with a bricked phone.
The problem is : I have a ROM and a custom recovery, BUT whenever I try to install the ROM, I keep getting this error message
E:Error executing updater binary in zip
Error flashing zip
The phone has been flashed before to android 4.4 with HTC Sense 6, if that information helps.
As I said, the custom ROM is from the official site, stable version, and the phone is bootloader unlocked.
Solution
Solved, had to install a ROM that complied to the HBOOT version (i.e. 2.16.0)
Hi,
I had a bricked OPO and used OneplusOneRestoreTool so the phone is fixed and running CM11. I have flashed latest version of TWRP recovery onto it via adb and I have rooted it. Whenever I try to flash a new ROM I get Error 7. I have tried removing the assert... line in the updater script but then when I re-zip the file and try to flash it, another error message comes up saying updater-binary could not be found.
Ideally trying to flash latest Resurrection Remix.

Thanks in advance.
