[Q] a700 will not go on boot menu or recovery mode after root - Acer Iconia A700 and A510

Hello guys sorry about this I'm new to all this. Okay so I unlocked the boot loader and rooted my tablet successfully . I installed cwm and I updated to 6.0.3.1 because it said there was a new update. But when I try to boot my tablet in to recovery mode or boot menu it says entering recovery kernel image but just stays there . I am not able to go on fastboot boot menu recovery mode anything . I am able to use the tablet normally tho but I am not able to go on recovery mode. Did I do somethingwrong or what should i do? I would appreciate some help. Thanks

Re :
Hello,
Did you find a solution ? I have exactly the same problem. My A700 is stuck on this message : "entering recovery kernel image".
I've tried to reinstall Recovery with CMW but the problem is the same !
I hope you have a solution for me

Well, I am going to guess, if you can't do a fastboot flash recovery xxxxxxx.img, and it says successful, but you can't boot immediately to recovery, then more than likely the recovery partition is damaged. And unfortunately, there is little you can do for it except mainboard replacement.
You can try fastbooting a stock recovery image (you can find them here in the forums, just search "stock recovery". Should be ICS and JB available.
If that don't work, Acer Service Center. Acer won't give us the SBK (secure bootloader key) to be able to use NVFlash to diagnose/possibly repair partitions.
I would always advise to NOT USE the Rom Manager app to do a recovery. Reason, you really have 0 idea what it is installing, or who made it.

[Q] Cant flash clockwork recovery through Rom Manager

Have been trying to flash clockwork recovery through rom manager for a couple of days. It always says Flashed succesfully but when I try to go to recovery it takes me to the bootloader. it happened after i updated to the newest version. anyone else have this issue or is there any other way without using ADB? Im not good at that.
do you mean when you go into the bootloader (vol up + power) it doesnt automatically bring you to recovery? (this is not supposed to happen) or when you select the recovery menu from the bootloader it just reboots the bootloader again
it just reboots the bootloader
This may be of help to you.

[Q] Only Android Logo in Recovery. Wifi Model

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you know a fix for this on my WIFI only xoom
Using the guide from here about Wifi Unlocking and rooting Ive unlocked the bootloader on my Xoom. Ive flashed Clockwork and am up to the part where I have to boot into clockwork recovery to install the root tool, however there is no option to enter 'Android Recovery' when I push the Down key on the dual core boot screen, during the first 3 seconds of the first boot after flashing. Theres NVFlash, fastboot and another but no recovery.
I am able to get into recovery via the ADB REBOOT RECOVERY command however I dont get into Clockwork and am stuck on a screen with a green android logo in the center. Pushing any manner of buttons does nothing and the tab automatically resets after 2 or 3 mins in that mode. Has anyone else seen this and know of a fix?? Ive since learned that if you allow the tab to boot into honeycomb it installs the stock recovery and you have to start over by reflashing clockwork, as stated tho no Android Recovery option appears. Any ideas?
recovery is not installed properly.
put your recovery file in fastboot folder
rename it to recovery.img
in fastboot run: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
this recovery file is not zip file but .img file(rename it for ease of typing)
I've done it exactly like that, 3 times now. all the messages seem to indicate its flashed correctly. Heres what it says on the tab:
Flashing allowed for partition recovery
OneWire: Charger not connected
Battery Level 82%
Flashing Stormgr partition recovery Status:- done!
And i get the OKAY's in the terminal box as well. Still no Android recovery menu. I read in a dev post reguarding this same procedure a few other ppl had the same issue. I was hoping sum1 had a fix

A700 - Can't go into Recovery Mode ,OS OK, Root OK, FBoot Unlocked

Hello Guys,
i have made something wrong. i wanted to install the OTA JB Image from internal SD and i was thinking it would work with CWM.
First step i have made is, unlocked the bootloader with adb.exe etc...
The Second Step was to get root and superuser (here maybe i have done something wrong) but in the end i got superuser to work with a patched bootloader or something.
The Third Step i installed CWM and started to flash the recovery image.
But it doesnt go any further, if i try to go into recovery mode, it stucked always at the message "boot recovery kernel". from here its frozen.
i have two recovery images to choice with CWM, One is calling TeamWin Recovery Image and the other is the CWM Recovery. But both doesnt work. I tried to go directly from CWM to the recovery mode and with the Power Button and Vol + Method. Both not working. If i try to boot manually first it says "it update via sdcard" or something, and immiadately it follows the message "boot recovery kernel" and stucked....Nothing happened
Thats a big problem because i cant update anymore and i dont have an externel sd card here. And via google i cant find a solution to this problem.
Is there a Method to install a new Recovery.img via adb? that work properly?
Maybe someone can help me out?
Greetings
Jack
Sorry for my bad English.
[EDIT] i have solved the problem by my own. I've flashed the wrong recovery img. Now i have flashed that version for ICS with vorbeths Easy Root. And now i can Update the version. Hope there will be no more problems...
Please steps

[SOLVED] [A510] Help Needed! A510 bricked while restoring stock firmware

I desperately need help as I bricked my A510
I had cyanogenmod ROM with CWM recovery.
I wanted to go back to a stock ROM therefore I downloaded the official upgrade from Acer site, put update.zip on the SD card and entered recovery mode.
In CWM recovery I've cooked the ROM; at the end of the procedure CWM reported that the recovery was being overwritten and I answered "yes, fix it!" (i.e. do not erase CWM recovery). That's the mistake.
Now I'm stuck in a boot-loop (the stock system do NOT start) with even the recovery failing to start (entering recovery gets me the "Recovery verified failed" error), I think because bootloader is locked again and it finds a not-signed recovery.
Fastboot does NOT help as I cannot enter fastboot mode.
ADB server does not find the A510.
Can someone please help me? :crying:
Thanks a lot in advance.
I answer myself...
Thanks to nikagl post "[A51x] Key shortcuts (recovery, bootloader, factory reset)" I solved the problem.
I just entered Bootloader/Fastboot mode with "Volume- (two dots) and Poweron and then toggle the rotation switch on and off a few times" and unlocked the bootloader.
VoilĂ .
Thanks a lot to nikagl

[Completed] [GT-N7000] Stuck in manufacturer Logo, unable to enter recovery can enter download.

Is my device soft bricked?
I flashed PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0.tar which worked, then I started up the phone and tried to flash CWM 6.0.4.3 touch using ROMManager, the process was a "success" but after the reboot attempt the phone was unable to boot OS nor is it able to go to Recovery mod. I am still able to enter download mod.
I tried flashing PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0.tar again, but it didn't work. I can detect my phone in ADB devices and in Odin3. I am currently searching for a stock ROM for my device.
If anyone has experienced this before and knows the result already, could you tell me whether my device is lost or I can revive it somehow? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: My phone doesn't seem to go into recovery, stuck at manufacturer Logo(Not restarting); but in ADB devices I can see it in recovery mod and can see its contents in adb devices.
Solved: It booted normally after deleting update.img and cache via ADB.
