Today I released Appsi 1.5 (sidebar app, in top 5 new favorites from August on Android Police) and one of the new features is support for Home Plugins. These are basicly like DashClock Extensions (which are also supported) but will work on lower API levels. Another reason for my own type is also that you can't host DashClock extensions in two apps.
So I created a sample project for this, which contains all the extension DashClock includes and a few other ones (networking state and a few usefull links that make sense for Appsi). The project is right here (https://github.com/nickmartens/AppsiHomePlugins) on GitHub. The app can also be found here (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsimobile.appsihomeplugins) on Google Play and needs Appsi installed for it to work.
I'd like to ask other developers to create plugins as well. If you've ever created DashClock plugins this is pretty much the same. and you can see how easy it is to convert existing DashClock plugins by looking at the source code.

Weather Alerts is a Dashclock extension that displays the current National Weather Service alert status for your current (or a set) location. The extension requires Android 4.2, and the DashClock Widget.
Here are some screenshots, to get an idea of what it looks like: http://imgur.com/a/8zuJU
You can purchase the extension in the Google Play Store, or (if you just want to try it / don't think a DashClock extension should cost money) you can download the APK here.
I'm still new to Android development, and this is my first app, so if you have any feedback please let me know. Keep in mind that I want the extension to remain minimal, just like DashClock, and that I'm already looking into adding support for other countries.
Because the app uses the US National Weather Service API, it is not currently available outside of the US. I am currently looking into various international APIs, to expand support, but so far none are particularly well suited to the task.
bump
Final bump.
Decided it would be awesome to play/pause/fastforward/rewind from a pebble. Therefore I've forked the android-xbmcremote app for android and added pebble integration, just select it in your favourite music app for your pebble, see source code here. apk here. by searching for "PulfordJ android-xbmc" on github because I can't post links... Hopefully it'll be merged into the main branch and released on Google Play shortly.
It doesn't change the name in the song / artist areas of the pebble music / jboss apps because I was unable to find documentation on where the pebble obtains that from / I just wasn't motivated to add that cosmetic functionality. However, if anyone knows feel free to let me know / fork my code .
Hey XDA!
Ive built an open source To-Do app that is a bit different than many of the other apps out there.
It allows you to build To-Do lists, and take any task and turn it into its own sub-list of tasks.
This app contains no ads and the only permission is SD card r/w to store the task lists. (So this app makes no calls home, no stats gathering, nothing)

Let me know what you think!
I created this app to stay organized in my classes and projects, so I am always open to improvements.

Hi,
For nearly two and half months i was developing a simple reddit web like mobile application which has many features, i created open source projects for xda before.
I wanted to create an application for my needs, after seeing it gets bigger created something for community.
I tried to create an application that looks exactly like reddit front page, also I have tried to use latest technology for performance. I have created 4 different layouts to choose and added a good looking widget. There is also slideshow mode, it's an infinite pager that you can scroll posts by swiping. Helper buttons on post, correct txtmark parsing. Filtering of posts and examples continue like this.
I have tried to keep user in application (like fetching imgur albums and photos), do not request many permissions and app has low memory footprint, and also has low end cpu support.
It uses same layout with website.
Low ram usage.
Beautiful widget.
Fewer permissions.
Share to RedFeed for fast posting.
Full gif and gifv support (imgur, gifycat,...)
Multiple layout support -> Grid, Staggered Grid, Single Column and reddit
Configurable widget (with multi subreddits)
Supports tablets.
Watch (Wear) support for your reddit
Web based proxy settings.
Posting helper

Slideshow
Post filtering
Multireddit
Dark and light themes
Search in comments and text selection
View imgur albums from detail
Private messaging

Subreddit info
Sorting support
Low cpu mode
Low res or no thumbnail mode

Correct syntax parsing
RES tags
...

Great, thanks for info.
Do you know if this works with Android Auto? It doesn't show up when you are running but you can play music normally ... but no display on car screen, you cant change songs on wheel, etc.
