As I'm moving to London in few days, i really need a new Android phone, ready for LTE. My budget is around 250£ so Galaxy S4 is a no-go.
Can anyone suggest a good phone for that price range?
I had a previous look and was thinking about HTC ONE SV or ASCEND P1
Thanks in advance
Nexus 4 which afaik can have LTE using a custom rom.

Hey guys, I'm upgrading my phone tomorrow.
I have 2 choices of phone. The Samsung galaxy ace, and the wildfire s.
Which is better?

Hello,
Them two phones are the same ones I had to decide between, the Galaxy Ace is bigger but the HTC has a better display. Spec wise- they are very similar, I'd recommend the Galaxy in my opinion. Although if you don't mind switching carrier for 3 month then you could get the Orange San Francisco II (£99+£10 topup) which has the same specs as Galaxy Ace, better resolution AND a front camera, for cheaper, after the 3 months you can pay Orange £20 to unlock it for you, or take it to another unlock-specialist or do it yourself.
If you want a phone to flash custom roms etc then forget about what I said and choose the Galaxy Ace.
Good luck making your decision.
You can unlock the SF2?
I thought it was Orange only.

Been into local orange shop, they don't have the SF2 so it looks like a acw!

Yeah, you can pay Orange £20 to unlock it for you after 3 months or you can wait until there is a DIY method out, I'm pretty sure the guys at Modoco have already managed an unlock and debranding method for the OSF2. My local Orange has the phone but it's sold out, awaiting delivery on Tuesday so I'll be getting mine then hopefully.
The area that I live in has recently gotten 4G so I'm looking to replace my Nexus 4 with a new phone.
First I'll tell you my main complaints with the Nexus 4:
Battery Life
No SD slot (only have the 16GB, I have 29GB of music on my PC)
Camera isn't great
Poor audio quality through headphones
I was pretty much set on the Nexus 5, seemed like the most logical upgrade, but living in Australia it is $469 for the 32GB model.
But checking an online retailer in Australia I found these phone:
Sony Xperia ZR 4G - $379
LG Optimus G Pro E988 4G - $389 (I owned the Note 2 before my N4, but I don't know if I like the bigger screen size... or the plastic)
Sony Xperia Z 4G - $439
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active 4G - $479
LG G2 D802 4G - $509 (I'm correct that the G2 lacks an SD card right? What does it offer over the N5?)
Any phones that I got I'd flash a vanilla version of Android or CM or something, can't stand stuff like Touchwiz after my Nexus.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Here is a good place to get suggestions on a new phone, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620179&page=1334
Where can I find phones to buy in XDA besides Swappa.
I want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SCH-I605 Verizon that still has Jelly Bean.
Ebay best solution for buying that device ok
Looking for a 7 inch cell phone that works with USA 4g LTE
I had a Huawei Mediapad X2 and returned it because just to slow... (no 4G)
Looking at the Huawei Meadiapad T2 7.9 Pro specs look ok but not positive about the 4g LTE support
here in the states.
Does any have any specific knowledge about a 7 inch phablet that works well in the states?
Currently have a Blu Pure XL 64gig wicked good phone just want something larger that is comparable
so I don't have keep buying and returning.
Best Regards,
Jeff W.
