[App][Updated 01/11] Led illumination bar V1.4 - Sony Xperia L

It's a simple app that makes the illumination bar turns on when the screen is on and turn off when the screen is off.
Installation
It's a normal apk file, check unknown sources under security.
The color of the notifications stay the same.
Works with stamina mode on.
Colors: blue, red, pink, purple.
Disable when the album is open (Turn off and on the screen again when album close to activate again)
V1.4
Fixed the bug that caused the LED turns off after a while with the screen on.
Now it works perfectly. No bugs.
If you have any suggestion to join the app just say that I try to do.
Note: These are the only colors supported by xperia L so even though I want I will not get other colors in xperia L.

Unfortunately the pulse effect and choice of colors in RGB on XL is not supported by illumination bar API from sony.
I'll try to work in another method.

illumination bar app from the play store works in "Xperia U" mode and allows blinking and every color option of the rainbow, I even bought the app to support the dev, so the L can clearly be set to any color you want. I have mine set for gmail green, facebook red, facebook/sms messages teal, google+ orange, etc.

regardless, his app does it in some way that makes it work fine and gives you rainbow colors of any color you want, so it's possible on the L was all I was trying to say.

V1.2
Colors: blue, red, pink, purple.
Some bugs corrected.
Disable when the album is open (Turn off and on the screen again when album close to activate again)
Enjoy.

Awesome that you made this! i love it, the only problem i have(with both versions, first and v1.2) is that if i swype the app out of the task switcher, the process stopps. so when i lock my device, the led stays on and i need to restart the app and retoggle the activation. so it works, but only if the app gui is open, just saying
i have the C2105 model running fw .36 stock rooted

I was looking and I can not do anything about that. The application runs in the background so if you kill the process the service stops.

[Q] N5 Notification light colours

Hi all,
Noticed a white pulsing light on my n5 earlier.... Then I received a message via Skype and I swear it pulsed blue....
Can anyone confirm we have different colours and/or how to customise them.
Cheers!!

I think it'll be white by default. Some apps will have LED notification support built in with the ability to choose their own colour. The Lightflow app will give you more control over it.

Working LED charging light app?

New to nexus 5... searched and found light flow and light manager. Neither work for charging. Perhaps I set it up wrong?
Also, sorry if this has been asked... search function on the app sucks
Light flow has option...just need to enable it. Also check the settings , there are some settings for while charging.

Hmm... I wonder if something in gravity box is conflicting... I have those sittings set, still nothing
Light Manager works on my Nexus 5 with the following setup:
1. Turn off daydream
2. Light Manager Advanced settings > Static LED > Option 2

Light manager is working using your settings, thanks.
Quick question. If I disable the unlock cancels notification setting, what does cancel it? Clearing the notification and unplugging charger?

I noticed led only comes on when screen is off.
If u enable that setting, led notification will stop once u unlock the screen.
If u disable the setting, led notification will go on until u read the message, checked the missed call, etc.
Cyanogen Mod 11 Milestone 4 might be the way to go

If you are willing to unlock your phone and load a ROM, CM11 M4 has that feature built in. This is a really stable build and has Google Dialer working.
Here is a review of some of the features
If you are feeling really adventureous you can try the nightly builds http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584004

They work if that's what you're asking. Light Flow and Light Manager are the two I tested. Definitely prefer LF of the two.
Light manager seems to work for sms but not email. Always on also does not show email notifications. Arg!

LightFlow is not working for me. Did you enable the LED in the display settings and did you enable or disable the workaround for Samsung?
I have been emailing the dev for light manager. in order to get it to work, you need to turn on the 5.1 workaround in the apps settings and you have to let it wake the screen for notifications. then the led colors work correctly. one thing that does break is you can not longer expand the gmail notifications in the notification pull down shade. he said he doesn't have an S7 yet to test on but is getting one.
LED Blinker Work correctly
I didn't install light manager yet. I'm just using signal for SMS and changing color of LED in its settings. inbox is blue and I guess missed calls would be the same blue default. Works for now. Also charging is red by default and green I think when charged...
LED Blinker Work
my g930f led notification does not work properly. i have no white its kinda pink ish and yellow is a orange with green??? does anyone else have this problem? i have tested it with Light Flow, Light Manager, Blinker and Led Tester
i had nothing like this with my s5
does anyone know what to do with this?
I just want to disable led while charging any option in phone without an app

Please does anyone know how to solve this or do you all have the same thing?
White led is pink and yellow is orange with green and every color start the first blink whit red then turns to the other color.
Please let me know, want to know if i have to return it....

Yes LED Blinker works. I have tested under S7. And many customers told me, too.
Just enable workaround 5.1.1 in app settings (its needed for Android 6, too sadly).

Same here. (With Light Manager) So it seems to be a hardware/model related issue.

Needed screen on for me too (for Gmail at least, some apps worked okay - Handcent/Whatsapp). Which I didn't really want to use but it's better than nothing at this stage.
Ah, sorry, it's Light Manager I used - I was trying a few and got confused!
Ok then what now? Do we return it to samsung and ask for a good one or just live with it??

LED Blinker works, but has the same problem that all of the other LED notification programs have....The Gmail notification icon in the status bar will not auto clear after reading email. It must be cleared manually. Light Manager does the same thing, and according to the developer, it is an issue with Android 6.0

you have to disable the light/led in all apps you use, gmail doesnt have such option, use google inbox instead.

LED notification colours

Is there a way to assign a colour to the notification LED? Like green for whatsapp and red for Gmail? I can't see a way to make the change and the current colour scheme seems to be inconsistant. I've downloaded Light manager which has no effect.

Whatsapp has an option to do that. Look in in the Settings/Notifications
For Gmail you will need a 3rd-Party-App like this

The notification LED is built within the top speaker grill to the right hand side.. And many reviews do mention it...
Does anyone else have an issue where the colors aren't working correctly? Light flow doesn't seem to work either..
I notice that the led colour is limited. I can get red, blue, green, and magenta working that's it.

[APP]AMOLED Notification Light "NotifyBuddy"

Original Thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/themes/app-amoled-notification-light-t3943715
So I was annoyed not having an LED notification light on oneplus 6t so I tried to make one of my own.
As OP6T has amoled display whenever a desired notification comes the app brings in a black screen with notification LED looking animation.
Though this is tested on OP6T, it should be working for most Android Oreo and later phones.
To use it:
Install App.
Disable Ambient Display and any battery optimisation for the app.
Give notification access permission.
Select apps you want notifications for, by choosing a color (Only apps you set a color to enables LEDs).
Note: 1. On successfully selecting a color for an app the text in which the App name is written should change to that color
2. Don't enable the LED for the "Phone App" as it will interfere when an incoming call is coming! Will fix this in next build
Thats it.
Note: To turn off the LED and to unlock phone double tap anywhere on the screen.
Also on pressing power button once the LED stops and on pressing it again it will bring you to lock screen.
App now available on Play Store, please rate and share if you liked the app.
Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xander.android.notifybuddy
Working Video: https://youtu.be/vFKiHS_ZD-k
If the app is not working check whether the Notification Service is running under Developer Option > Running Services, this service is required for the app to work as intended.
If it is not running after various troubleshoot measures, maybe send the logs.
Changelog:
Implemented burn in protection
Fixed proximity sensor bug
Switch enables LED with default color
Added search functionality
Now App list is sorted in alphabetical order
Fixed power button
Added settings for changing time interval and stop timer
Major bug fixes
Added System Apps
Added a switch to turn on/off notification LED
Give your feedback!!
It would be cooller if it would use the edge lighting.
Great app, love the simplicity.
Is there any way to show the notification first (like stock configuration) and then show the flashing "LED" after a few seconds?
Nice app. Been using since release when I saw it on the OnePlus 6t forum. Only issue is when you dismiss the notification (double tap) , screen goes into full brightness first before dimming down. At night, it's hard on the eyes. Hope you can fix it (add auto brightness support so it follows the screens brightness after unlock). Cheers mate and keep up the good work.
Good to see your thread here for OnePlus 7 Pro! Cheers
working thx ?
cut u get it to work wiht eged light??
Nice! It working good!
"Is there any way to show the notification first (like stock configuration) and then show the flashing "LED" after a few seconds?"..also my question..
Sometimes the LED flashes even if there is no notification
This is AWESOME!!! Could you make it so that
1: It doesn't flash the white bar across the bottom first
2: not go full brightness?
Thanks
This is an awesome app. Would be amazing if you can use it with the edge lighting.
Brilliant, thank you. Gome through countless apks trying to get a notification led. Thanks
Oh, one more thing, would it be possible to add an on/off switch so you can easily turn it off if you don't want to use it?

i also used this one notifybuddy
but went back to picel pulse untill this one support missed call's
pixel pulse works with orginal notification system
