I really love miui rom in my previous phones. so i just want it for my new device micromax a110 aka canvas2.
Main specification of this device are:
MTK 6577- (ARM v7) 1GHz dual core + Dual SIM. with PowerVR SGX 531GPU
Android 4.0.4 (ICS) OS. (Really want Jelly Bean)
512MB RAM, 2GB internal and microSD card up to 32GB.
5 inch capacitive IPS touchscreen with AGC Sodaline screen protection.
Resolution FWVGA (480×854).
3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB.
8MP rear and front VGA camera. Other features LED flash, 4x zoom.

Just follow the porting guides, and look for devices that have a custom rom you want to port, and looks as close to your phone as possible on hardwarematic side.

if you know how to port, then this site hosts many ROMs. please verify the specs and then try to port

[PATCH][GPS FIX][LEWA JB ROM][27-mar-2013]

HI
After Studying Lewa os and Mediatek device ..I finally Made a patch for GPS which is working
Requirements:Lewa jb Rom /Lewa jb Based Rom
Instructions:
1.Downlaod the attached the file ..Put it into sdcard
2.Flash it in CWM Recovery
3.Reboot..Goto Settings >Location Services>Turn On Gps
4.Turn On GPS EPO assistance and AGPS
5.Go into EPO Settings Download EPO Data
6.Reboot
7.Done

Yes this is for lewa 4.1.2 and regarding miui im making a patch soon... But u can check this patch also no harm...

it works very well now the lewa is the best 4.1.2 rom available !

I tried those 3 files to get GPS working in a89 lewa Rom too.. You did a great job bro!
But when I used same files from A89 , it didnt wrk in our fone.. Hoped to get better GPS as A89 gets quick lock.. Can u get some port from a89? Both has same chip but different mnl version (on mtk tools I saw)

Hi Suhas, After applying this patch in swift li v4 rom ! status bar changed to default black.. This looks funny but it happened.. ! i applied different themes but no change. even i flashed the rom again without wiping any data... no luck ! pls help

MIUI ROM for Micromax A87

Hey guys, as I said in our XDA thread, We've [Team Ninja] ported MIUI ROM for Micromax A87. Last time we gave you CyanogenMod ROM, this time we are presenting you MIUI ROM for A87. The ROM is very good in UI and performance. The ROM is real MIUI & not any custom rom made by us. This is a port so WiFi and Vibration are not working. We are trying hard to fix it for you. Wifi and Vibration are impossible to fix because the modules are different. If the modules were same then we could solve it.

Wifi is not fixable...however you can try it but it wont work. See the XDA thread pf MICROMAX A87. Someone commented the clone name

We (teamninja) tried compiling it for mmx a87 but v failed.

That is because the kernal sources is not of mediatek so... I believe that some.changes in files will do the work TechnoCrat can help you on that I guess but it is not impossible

can you try hw folder from Stock folder to ported rom.
I've tried 4 roms of 4.2.2 for Lava Iris 501, and haven't came across any camera Bugs till now.
However crashing mms.apk is making me miss some very attractive ROM for these devices.

Upload karo man........and try to get a 3g pack in any sim and upload super speed

Finally I am using 4.2.2 on Iris 501.

I also want to run it on my iris 501

I am working on fixing some bugs and would be able to post a DOWNLOAD link to my rom in a week.
Its working fine but a few apps just refuse to work else I see no problem in running this 24x7
I am using it on my daily use phone and pretty happy about the performance.
