I've read that UCKK1 should be available OTA, however when I look for updates on my new UCKJ2 device, I get "Current software is up to date."
Why can't I find the update? Do I have to download the update on WiFi or can I do it over 3G/4G?
The update was only available for a few days then it was stoped. Not sure why. But att said it was only available to those who needed it
Theres a pre rooted stock rom made from it in the dev section . If u want it
---------- Post added at 04:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:57 PM ----------
No there are no issues or problems with it at all. Infact some of the other roms were made from it. Here check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361144
Do you think I could flash over stock post-rooted UCKJ2 w/o wipe?
No it is. Never a good idea . Always wipe data/cache before flashing a rom. Unless its an official update.zip
Hey so I got a Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 version P5113 and it came on jellybean 4.1.1 and I went to cm10.1 nightlys for the P5110 and I want to go back to stock and I can't find any guides on going back to jellybean 4.1.1 for my specific tab version. How do I go back to stock?
Go here
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P5113&pcode=XAR&os=1&type=3# I've tracked down your original firmware for your model just go there and download the firmware and flash it and you will be back to your stock rom. Unfortunately for the 5113 they only have the 4.04 if Samsonite doesn't have it know one will yet just update the system once you've flashed back to stock rom. Let me know if it goes ok. :highfive:

Just scroll down the page a little bit you'll find the 4.1.1 OTA update that will take you back to jelly bean :highfive:

Thank you so much! But one question, do I reflash 4.0.4 then flash 4.1.1 or should I just download 4.1.1 and flash from Odin?
Hi you just flash 4.1.1

make sure the usb debuggin box in the developers option in settings on your tablet is checked. cm10 has it off by default and you wont be able to flash a rom.

If u updated to the latest version for ur phone from ur carrier u are screwed, I do not think the cwm will work with the latest phone update on most all of the s4's

Hello,
I have recently bought from eBay a beautiful new HTC One SV and I wonder why I cannot receive the latest 4.2.2 upgrade through OTA.
I asked the HTC support in UK and they told me the phone is branded Virgin UK and I have to wait for them to release the upgrade. But I read on other post that the upgrade is already available from Virgin mobile.
I tried to unlock the phone, doing several factory reset, changed the sim to a different provider, but no success... Now the phone is re-locked.
This is the current configuration:
sw: 2.14.401.6
CID: HTC__001
Android version: 4.1.2
Can somebody please help me to get the latest 4.2.2 update?
Thanks!
Alberto

Probably a dumb question but have you attempted a manual update check on your phone in 'settings>>system updates>>HTC software update'?

Hi Modding.MyMind,
Thanks for your answer. I have tried yes, several times but no success... It always says your sw is the latest version.
When I switched on the phone the first time, there was a system update of about 34Mb and nothing more.
The sw is still 4.1.2.
You may need to sit and be patience then. Sometimes a new device that has been activated needs to be processed in the system through their database. Not sure how long you have had your device activated though. I would think at most, a week (and that is pushing it lol).

If the update is already available for your device with virgin mobile then I would assume someone has already provided a download link for the ota. However, I don't have it, but I would suggest downloading it if you can find it and attempt that route.

I have activated the phone about 3 weeks ago... Where do you think can I find the right OTA? And how can I install it manually?
Thanks!
Android ruu. Google that. There is a website by that name. Scroll down to K2 and select the link. There you can find OTA's. Though, I do not know if it has the one you need honestly. Also, check out @old.splatterhand index thread. You would need to place it on your internal sdcard and then reboot. If the right one you should get a notification at the top of your phone.

In my opinion, this the available "free" software of an unbranded phone.
Regarding htcdev.com, Virgin mobile Software number should be 2.14.652.6 or 2.14.351.6 (if i'm not totally wrong).

Maybe this OTA might help.It has the same software version as yours.

Hi!
I also though it was unbranded, but I asked the HTC support and after checking the IMEI, they told me is branded Virgin.

Put the update on your device's SD card and flash it from within recovery (TWRP, CWM, possibly stock)
I don't think you can flash OTA zips through custom recovery....
Not unless you know what you are doing when modifying it lol. But lets keep it simple

Fair point. So, with stock recovery installed, we could apply from sdcard or apply from phone storage
Internal sdcard (phone storage)

---------- Post added at 11:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:49 PM ----------
An OTA is downloaded in the /storage/sdcard0/Download/ directory and once applied it is removed. However, if saved and not applied it will remain there. Anyways, that is the location where it is normally stored when you get that notification (assuming it is the proper OTA).

But I would think that being on the root of the internal sdcard is fine. Though personally have not given that a go for myself so I am only guessimating on that one lol.

Actually, now that I think of it.... Stock recovery comes with a prebuilt feature very similar to CWM. So with that said, guess the location wouldnt necessarily matter if applied that way.

I've been putting it off for a while now, but I feel like it's been in development on 5.X for long enough that I'm willing to take the risk, however The official thread seems to show a pretty wide variety of options for installs based on what processor is in the phone and tbh I just don't know which one to use.
I am using xposed on my m8. I believe I flashed the arm 22 file and installed 3.0 apk.

VZW M8 Neo 2.4 LP 5.02 with XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk and xposed-v74-sdk21-arm.zip. No issues. I thought arm22 was for 5.1.
