[Q] disable palm check on trackpad surface pro - General Questions and Answers

So do you guys think if its possible to hack or get some app or get a different driver so I would be able to disable palm rejection option on my surface pro keyboard. It is really annoying when I am playing games with this trackpad.
It looks like a built in driver software and I cant delete or disable it..if I do it just comes back in few min.
It would be nice if there is some sort of hack or app like "trackpad" to fix this.
Thanks.

Keyboard Sensor hardware failure - registry fix?

Hey guys,
so in the last couple of weeks my HTC Touch Pro has finally had its first real problem. It appears that it misreads the hardware keyboard open/close sensor. It basically flips back and forth constantly thinking the keyboard is open/closed. If I leave the keyboard open it stabilizes and is usable, but that is the only way. It is killing battery life and makes the thing a pain to use. The problem shows up in the Android OS I'm running as well as in the WinMo. so it's definitely a hardware issue (And I did a full hard reset and wipe etc as well).
Anybody aware of where the registry entry for the driver for that sensor is so I can kill the sensor? I did a registry search on a few keywords and didn't find anything obvious. If anyone can help that'd be great!
Thanks,
Steve
It's not the keyboard sensor but the gyro that is broken!
I'm not a pro at this, but there might be a way to disable the gyro driver...
it's not the g-sensor. i have ruled it out umerous ways as well as disabled it. it is without question an issue with the keyboard hardware/sensor.
I am looking for an option to disable the sensor all the time I own TP,without success. The sensor is readed by the slideout keyboard driver and I know only one man,who could help with this, but he luckily ignores my request. It is a programmer of Keyboard Config utility nicknamed Tarkim. Try to ask him and if you will have a solution, please let me know. Simply I hate the autorotation and I want to disable it.

Registry hack to remove the dot under the pen...

Hi all,
One of the nice things about the S-Pen on the Galaxy Note line is that the user can turn off the dot on the screen that appears beneath the pen if you don't like it. On my Surface Pro I find that STUPID dot quite annoying when I am trying to ink, but MS in the wisdom has decided to give us no way to turn it off.
I am assuming their must be a Registry Hack that allows users to control this behavior. Anyone have an idea?

I may be wrong, but there should be an option to remove visual feedback in desktop control panel. Might be under Touch or Input or Pen or something like that.

Sadly there is not. You can removed the pulsating dot that appears beneath a touch, but you cannot turn off the pen cursor.

Possible to rotation lock Lumia 920 and disable search button?

Two things that really annoy me about my Lumia 920 is that there's no rotation lock! something so basic I have no idea how they don't have this feature... does anyone no of a way to sort this out maybe some kind of app? UCBrowser actually has this built in which is ridiculous that apps themselves have to resort to this...
My other gripe is that the search button can't be disabled unless anyone know's a hack or app??... I tried putting black duct tape on their but that doesn't seem to have fixed it as it's still somehow triggering the capcitive buttons :S

Surface RT - Touch Cover sounds

Hi guys!
I upgraded to 8.1 a while ago and didn't have to use my Touch Cover since then. Now I had to write some things and I noticed that my Surface RT doesn't play the sound it used to play when I touch a key. Of course the sound was switched on and I didn't change anything in the configuration.
How can I get that to work again? It helps a lot to know if pressing a key was noticed.
Did no one experience this problem yet?
No. I can turn keyboard sound on and off without problem.
I remembered there one person found problem that he cannot turn keyboard sound off even the setting is switch off after upgrade to Windows RT 8.1. Maybe it the same case.
Only thing I can recommend is try turning the feedback sound off and on again. It's a new (modern) control panel in 8.1, if you hadn't already seen that.
any idea how to **change** the keyboard sound????
Pretty sure it's just a small collection of audio files (different keys have different sounds, but they're all very short, probably WAVs) but I don't know where they are.

Disabling palm rejection function in Surface Pro?

So, I noticed this has already been asked but no replies at all.
Maybe this time someone knows a way around!
How could I disable the palm rejection ONLY, so I can use both the pen and touch at the same time?
Windows 8.1, Surface Pro 2.
Thanks!
