THL W100 Custom Rom Development

There has been a lot of unpleasantness within the small community of THL W100 owners in the past couple of days which have ended with the closing of a few threads, which I find quite disappointing, as there was a lot of good information in them, and some useful links, most importantly for me, a link to a download of the THL W100 stock rom, which I have only just realised I do not possess any more. If anyone has this on their computer, please, please upload it so we all can benefit.
I'm planning on starting a custom rom for the THL w100, but I can't start it without the stock rom. I have access to the ThL.W100.130701.JBV2.HD.EN.COM.8P32_MT6589 ROM, but I am looking for the first hardware revision's stock ROM.
Things I am planning on doing to the rom include
Stock AOSP Lockscreen
Screenshot in power menu
Dictionary fix
Optional resizing of "internal SD card" into phone storage
Hopefully a camera fix for the newer hardware
Easy GPS.conf
Some minor speed tweaking
Integration with the amazing GravityBox
No Bloat!
That was the majority of my ideas I believe, I wrote them previously in a thread which ended up being deleted unfortunately.
Please note that I do not care about donations, and I am most certainly NOT trying to rip off or steal from any other THL W100 custom ROM developers.
Hopefully the THL W100 users can find this thread and assist on my search, and together we can build a great custom ROM for the THL W100, a very deserving phone!

edit :i think it is not the original firmware coz it has cwm recovery and root already (not sure), so maybe this is not what you are looking for, i will try to find first original firmware, sorry

Anyone know from which camera firmware change? I think it is from 07/01/13 and there is a previous firmware ThL.W100.130627.JBV2.HD.EN.COM.8P32_MT6589 that works for the first W100 THL.

RO.EDi Fusion 1.0 + camera patch is NOT work for me.
Rear cam is still missing.
Anyway, some Thai guy can successfully root w100 with 130701 firmware.
Here is how i did. (tested, work !)
- Back up and make sure that you can accept the risk of brick you phone. This is from trials and errors, guru please suggest if there is anything wrong with this method.
- Download UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.41.zip from http://download.chainfire.eu/339/Sup...erSU-v1.41.zip
copy to the root of your microSD. (without zip extraction)
- Install official firmware 130701 from needrom
- Install CWM recovery, i used previous version of RO.EDi, v6.0.3.2, installed with SP Tool.
*** I used scatter-loading file that come with 130701
*** I choose only "recovery checkbox" and browse to "recovery.img" from RO.EDi W100 CWM v6.0.3.2
- Turn the phone off and enter CWM
- install zip from sd card -> choose zip from sdcard -> UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.41.zip
- Reboot and enjoy rooted W100"

What a shame mods deleted the ro.edi thread cause it had a lot of valuable information for thl w100 users.

I got to the phones recovery menu by following the following instructions
A. Remove Battery From Phone wait 2 sec.
B. Reinstall Battery
C. Press Volume UP + Power
AND DON'T LET GO OF THE BOTH KEYS
FOR ABOUT 8 SEC until u are into recovery menu.
its all in Chinese - is there a way to swap over to English ?

I'm using a matte screen protector I bought with the phone, and I strongly advise you leave the screen protector on. Scratches will just annoy you, and it's not gorilla glass.

You've accessed the THL stock recovery I think, you need to flash CWM onto your phone.

it definitely is the THL recovery, there are quite a few options to select from, would be nice if we could get a better handle of what the THL recovery is capable of, may have its own built in ROM Flashing capabilities with no need to use CWM.

In saying this .... I flashed my phone with his CMW recovery 6.3.3.3 and the rear camera no longer works... WTF ? (yes just the recovery)

Lollipop 643 used 1.34gb
Kitkat 1.1gb used 1.34gb
And no major lollipop battery drain
But system ui lag with build prop tricks too

Indian firmware has just ca,e oit i will check that one

The Odex files are located in data/dalvik-cache/arm

Nope in s4 they are present in apk folders like

Take some time to look at your tablet. I would post a screen capture but it is giving me some grief at the moment.. Ill post one as soon as I can..

thankfully the updater-script is years old (Galaxy4) and won't delete anything from our new devices, otherwise it would have been quite brutal..
No browser, clock weather widget, email, search, calendar, voice etc etc

Request For Grace Ux Rom For SM-j710FN

Hello guys can anyone make grace ux rom for SM-J710FN phone because i have already started unlocked the boot-loader and flashed a custom rom and edited many stuff but only pending work is system ui and settings
Can anyone port that or make it work thanks in advance or help me to fix those two stuff
In my work i have ported successfully the following things
1) contacts & phone
2) incall ui
3) messaging
4) browser
5) touchwiz
6) gallery
7) calculator
8) smartmanager
9) weather
10) splaner
11) clock
12) my-files
13) video and its player
14) camera but the front flash wont work so added back the stock
15) semi system ui ported of note 7
16) framework-res.apk
17) ultra powersaving mode
18) in custom rom you dont get sbike mode and ultra data saving mode so i fixed in custom rom
19) share links of note 7
20 galaxy apps (its common as normal install)
21) setupwizard
22) svoice
23) music player
24) New J7 White Boot screen Added (removed Black and added white and added Samsung logo of note 7 and its sound)
25) spen support is there but no spen to make the air-command and its new features need to use manually

I thought about it, but decided to leave this at 4pda site.
AOSP or CM ROMs are possible for the phone, but it very difficult to port them (especially for exynos soc, because that exynos soc is closed for this ROM)

if systemui is like real mm in showing all toogless ,this is best rom

As it is very evident from your work now that the Marshmallow roms are very abundant for this phone and now you should eye development of the roms like lineage OS 15 or 14 according to what it will be possible

I really liked this rom very nice but the camera bug needs to be fixed shows green tent and pics has it to. Be nice if you could fix it.

yes
replace libcameracustom.so file from your stock system\lib
you need your phones firmware unpacked than go to your system\lib and copy libcameracustom.so to your system\lib folder ,ofcourse you need to root your phone first .
