[NEW Theme]b02 Blue(Version 2),Black/Blue Keyboard and main apps

I decided to make a theme for myself, and it would be pitty if i didn't share it... I personally use Launcher 7 and NoLock, so it would look the best... i made it so it goes well with blue tiles from Launcher7 ... Any suggestions would be pretty cool...

Phone and Music Player can be pushed, or you can simply copy them to phone and then use root explorer to copy them to your system/app.
Credits go to UOT Kitchen for status bar battery.
On screenshots u will see red ! thats where i have hidden some parts of image, for privacy.

I reccomend using: NoLock or WP7 Lock to get full wp7 feel, but its preety buggy still, and i guess we will have to wait for devs to work on it ... (main bug is that you have to unlock when someone is calling you, and then answer)

!! Theme warning: if flashed on xxkqb it will remove your lockscreen and replace it with one from xxkpo (this is still to be confirmed, so if anyone is willing to test, just send me a pm), as for phone and musicplayer just flash them on xxkpo.
!! As for keyboard, it can be flashed on xxkpo as well as on xxkqb (so i guess it works on any rom, if it's not pm me so i can change this statement)
p.s. i am starting my work on value pack theme. And about screenshots, i will update them tomorrow with changes in this version of theme.

Well i think that it will work on any, but i made it based on xxkpo framework/twframework/systemui...
And the next things i will theme will depend on basebend ver. I think (phonw.apk,settings.apk,messages.apk dialer.apk and so on)

that's wrong dude, since xxKQB we have face recognation. if you modify a settings.apk of an older version, there will not be a menu-item for it
also you will lost the new lockscreen of xxKQB, if there are changes on the framework-res.apk ...

[edit]: as for keyboard, i tryed it on xxkqb, it is working, no problems, so you can flash it freely.

i think there is only a need to take the framework-res.apk and the settings.apk of kqb
just do not rush

i have made some changes, and there will be phone.apk v2 also, since i am not done with it yet.

Replacing/Deleting system apps manually
Just trying to use this reserved post for something. If someone has a better idea, then please let me know and I will add that to this post.
Info on replacing system apps manually using root explorer or for those who prefer to apply mods manually instead of cwmr-
(Note- If you think this is too easy, then below info is not for you , it is for the users who are still looking for it)
First of all, before replacing any system app, you should make a backup of the .apk and it’s .odex file.
[I have saved all of the .apks and .odex files from /system/app on day one of rooting, no matter how many of them I will/can replace but just in case.]
Path for apps
Non system Apps installed from Google play/SD should be in /data/app- these all can be removed.
System apps should be in /system/apps
Apps safe to replace from system/app- It should be same as the apps which are safe to remove,
in addition you can replace following system apps for theming purpose, you may get some FCs but it will not soft brick the phone.
Systemui.apk
Contacts.apk
LogsProvider.apk
Phonesky.apk (Google play)
Mms.apk
Stock launcher (name may be different) make sure to install another launcher before doing it.

Replacing apps using root explorer
(let’s pick contacts.apk as example)-
Download and put the modified contacts.apk on SD, if it is inside .zip then extract it to .apk
Open root explorer and navigate to the downloaded contacts.apk, copy it and paste to /system/app folder
(/system/app folder should be mounted as R/W for replacing apps)
Replace if prompts, delete contacts.odex if you are on odex rom
Change permissions for file properly (long press and select permissions) and restart, you will be done.
If you are not sure about permissions then check below screenshot-

Yes, all works on odex roms, but read OP and respective threads carefully before applying any mod regarding deleting. odex files etc.

The digital clock should not be ICS version specific, if it is for ICS then should work on all ICS roms, did you change the permissions properly?

Yes, I have checked the original thread, may be the OP missed it or assumed understood , So is it working now? If no then check the digitalclock.apk, which I have just attached to OP.

[MOD] [17 JUN] DLL4/5/7-LL3-DME1 (Launcher/messaging/systemui/framework/popup etc)

These little mods are for the latest (at time of writing) stock firmwares: N7100XXDLL4 / DLL5/ DLL7 and N7100UBDLL3
Whenever I flash a new ROM, the first thing I do is re-do these little mods (unless the ROM already includes them) and flash them, so I thought I would share as some of you may find them useful.
They are all in a Clockworkmod flashable zip.
*And now with CWM flashable Aroma installer with my stock launcher and PopupBrowser mods added to it, so now you can install the ones you want and leave the ones you do not want.*
Thanks to commandersafi for his tool.
Included are the folllowing:
SecMms.apk - No sms to mms convert, number of contacts limit removed, better smilies (see pic) and the option to keep the screen off when a new mrssage arrives (CWM_SecMms.apk_ScreenOff.zip only. Thanks to sling for the screen off/on mod))
SystemUI.apk - Black status bar instead of grey.
framework-res.apk - Stock Browser useragent set to desktop as default, better smilies for third party messaging clients (same as the ones in SecMms.apk), screen will now not come on when unplugging from charger/usb (I found this really annoying!), the menu bar (if you enable it) has been reduced in size (see pic to see the size it looks) and the lockscreen rotation has been enabled (only in CWM_AROMA_Stock_UBDLL3_Mods.zip).
SecLauncher2.apk - Stock launcher mod: 6 x 7 icons instead of the stock 4 x 4 and also has up to 7 icons in the dock instead of the stock 5, plus with 6 x 7 icons in the app drawer instead of the stock 5 x 5. (Only in the Aroma installer version)
PopupBrowser.apk - It is now larger (see pic to see the size it looks). I did not see the point in having the PopupBrowser so small as I was always 'maximising' it. Now, with this mod, there is no need to. (Only in the Aroma
installer version)
SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk - This is the default weather widget from the Note 1 (N7000) which has the 5 day forcast on the widget, it has been modded to fit the Note 2 (N7100) screen size (see pics). Even the app the widget opens up into has been modded as they both bled off the screen due to the Note 1's screen resolution, This widget is an addition to the already installed Accuweather widget and nothing gets removed or overwritten. And I will add that they took me hours to sort out! (It is in its own CWM flashable zip)
You should be able to use these mods for odexed as well as deodexed roms, as the odex files for SecMms.apk, SystemUI.apk, PopupBrowser.apk and SecLauncher2.apk, if you have them, will be deleted when the apps are flashed, I have not tested them on a stock odexed rom but there should be no problems.
Both flashable zips will work on stock (and maybe custom) XXDLL4/5/7 and N7100UBDLL3.
How to:
1. Download the CWM flashable zip
2. BACKUP YOUR ROM! Just in case.
3. Reboot into recovery and flash zip.
4. Reboot.
5. Click 'THANKS'

*If you use your Note 2 to download the file, please use a browser other than the stock one, otherwise it may just download a large .php file.*

Please note SecLauncher2_10x6x8_NoScroll.apk will have no app labels on the home screen pages due to the cells being so small.

Try using a different browser, the file is fine.

I have just installed the latest N7100XXDLL7 and these mods work as they should, which is no surprise as DLL7, DLL5 and DLL4 are essentially the same

I tried to install with CWM Touch 6.0.25 and aroma didnt start. I tried twice. Wanamlite DLL5 here!
I moved the file I wanted manually.

Thank you for the mods.
I have one important find that you should know. IT DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY, specifically the framework-res mod, WHEN Simplistic Framework is installed. I'm pretty sure I installed everything correctly. So there must be a conflict somewhere.
What happens - the home screen shrinks to about 1/2 the size, on all pages.
I'm reverting back from a backup and will install only the SecMms mod in Aroma. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm running my launcher @ 270dpi and with your launcher mod looks really great but when I open a folder the size is really small.
Anyway to increase the folder size to the same as original and remove page dots?

Edit: nevermind I modded my original omega 10 launcher with default folder settings and 6x7 app draw and at 270dpi it looks awesome.

This is Cobalt for Touchwiz
Now available in Blue AND Green
This theme is based and ported from an amazing theme for AOSP/AOKP by dustinb
These themes utilize the VRTheme system. At this point the themes are only replacing PNG files and may insert a couple of XML files which are designed by the ROM developers themselves. I chose to keep it simpler like this so that troubleshooting ROM issues shouldn't be simply dismissed because the user flashed one of these themes.

Not all ROMs will be themed the exact same since all devs build their ROMs differently...
All the apps need to be in the system/app folder to be themed. Unfortunately it's just too unreliable to try and theme data/app...
The theme is also name dependent... It will only theme the apk if it is the exact same name... Including capitalization
APP PACKS
This theme now has app packs that contain the same apps in all three and also use the VRTheme installer so they will only alter the apps of the same name and follow the same important notes in the second post. There are several versions of each with different names, those names are in the main list.

Whiteout is stock apps, the way they come from the market. Blackout is inverted versions of the apps. Xparent is transparent versions of the apps.
AOSP MESSAGING
If you are using AOSP style messaging... You must navigate to system/app folder and make sure it is named Mms.apk... if you have SecMms.apk then rename it before you flash the theme...
AOSP EMAIL
If using AOSP email please make sure it's named Email.apk...
ANDROID 4.2 KEYBOARD
If you are using Android 4.2 keyboard then you need to make sure it's named LatinIme.apk or LatinImeGoogle.apk... some rom developers install it as SamsungIME.apk such as AxisM/GalaxyMOD so it will need to be renamed...
SWIFTKEY
If you want themed Swiftkey, you must convert Swiftkey to system app via TiBU then using a root explorer you must rename to SwiftKey.apk... exactly like that before you flash theme...
BEANS USERS
If using the AOSP indicator mod will need to flash the AOSP data or Stock WiFi AOSP data add on below. In order to obtain the themed status bar you will need to flag the appropriate Beans package. Also if you are installing the Green theme for the first time you need to flash the GreenBeans.zip in the add ons first. The BlueBeans.zip only needs to be flashed if coming from the green theme

Nice theme. Working great on hyperdrive. But is it just me or is the pound and star button in the in call keypad switched. It might be from the rom because I never payed much attention to it. They're correct in the dialer, it's just during a call.

I've made the background of many apps 50% transparent, so you can see your Wallpaper or even Live-Wallpaper while changing settings, browsing your files etc.

I enjoy the transparency, but when I close applications like Dialer, Contacts and MMS, you see a black flash which is really ugly. Something we can do about this?
