Some people says they're being released mid October, but it seems a little to rushed to me.

The launch of the Nexus 4 and Android 4.2 comes with a bit of sad news. Android Open Source Project technical lead Jean-Baptiste Queru announced today that the Nexus S and Motorola XOOM will not be updated to Android 4.2. Both devices will finish out their days on Android 4.1.2, just like the Nexus One was labeled as “too-old” to be upgraded to Android 4.0 last year.
Google isn't revealing the reason behind this decision, but we have a feeling that hardware limitations and the age of the devices have a lot to do with it. Android 4.1 runs quite well on both devices, but many users have complained that the latest update has significantly slowed down their devices. The Motorola XOOM was never a huge success, and most people who purchased the Nexus S at launch have likely upgraded to a newer phone by now.
However, not all hope is lost. A year after the Nexus One was abandoned, the development community is still working hard to make sure that the device is running on the latest version of Android. We have no doubt that the same will be true for the Nexus S and Motorola XOOM. Love you my Nexus S..

Assuming no 3D phone is announced/shown at MWC...

What does everyone plan on getting for their next phone?
I'll probably get a Nexus 4 or to spite LG for never updating the O3D and giving up on it, I might hold out and go Galaxy Note 3.

Note2 1jaar contract waiting for note 3 all for the pen or better
Maybye 3D+pen
Apparently, LG will not be introducing any new 3D phone this year, so it's safe to say that we'll never see that official ICS ROM...
I will not buy LG phones for years to come, unless they're Nexus phones. I'll stick with BlackBerry 10 phones and downgrade my O3D to Gingerbread so that I can take 3D pictures. If 3D cameras get cheaper, I might get one .
My contract is allmost over now,but im not gonna biy anything special. Im gonna take probably ZTE Blade 3,just so i could have a spare phone. And then in august or september im gonna get the nexus 4 through the Pocket Change reward system.

Update from HTC?

Now I don't keep up much but don't we share some hardware with the desire HD? I would not hold my breath for this but figured I would share. http://goo.gl/LbztB
So they refused to do an ICS update on the DHD, but they will do jump straight to 4.3?
Riiiiight. Keep dreamin'.

Sorry to be an asshole but why do you believe this BS of an article that is saying that the 2.5 year old DHD is going to get the update but the One S won't?
Never said I believed it was just a nice pipe dream.
Just to add more to this
android 5.0 512mb ram
So the nexus 5 will only have 512 mb of ram? According to this.
Well October is not far away can't wait to see.

No I'm sure the new nexus will have 1.5 - 2GB of RAM. I think if this is true it is more of a push by Google to stop the OS fragmentation. Older systems will be able to update and new low and mid range devices will all be able to run the same version of the OS.
OK got it
Hopefully I can finish paying off my car by the end of the year to get that phone

Android 8.0

So with the release of Android 8.0 for the likes of the pixel & Nexus devices, Let's see if HMD Global can beat the likes of Samsung , Sony, HTC, Huawei , With updating its line of devices first, As we are pretty much stock Android afterall so shouldn't be difficult or take to long in my opinion ,
Drop your thoughts and any news below , Welcome Back Nokia! [emoji106]
