[Q] spell check - Asus Transformer TF700

Hello I was wondering if there are any spell check apps that I can use with my docking station, not only for polaris office but other applications aswell, I use for instance blogger sometimes.

I haven't tested it with the dock but you can turn on a general spell checker that works fine (not keyboard specific) in the settings somewhere. It underlines words or highlights them in red/pink....
Does that work?

Changed a setting and now it knows dutch words so if you want it, it works like it should!

Thanks a lot!
Is it useful to you?
Is it only T9 (SMS?) or does it affect the whole word completition?

Screenies for ya
Where did this come from? Interesting....
From the DroidX
How is it compared to Smart Keyboard Pro or Better Keyboard?
my two requests for it are for someone to fig out how it to use the stock dictionary and get vibrate to work! then this would be best keyboard ever.
What is the major benefit to a multi-touch keyboard? Can it actually keep up with my crazy quick typing now?
Would be perfect with working haptic feedback.
yup that is all it needs.
personally, i don't like the haptic feedback....multi touch will be awesome however
It already is multi touch.

some of the option text and ampersand seems to be in html encoded form. After you write and highlite a previous word sometimes it shows suggestions. That's my thoughts for the time being, any other apks op?

i know this..i'm saying it will be awesome once installed !
I have to be rooted to install this, correct?
ugh, it still does the smart keyboard pro thing where it won't register the first letter if you release it at the same time as the next key is pressed.. anybody else know what i mean?
Agree with the dictionary suggestion.. not crazy about the size of the letters or the combo. /, button next to the space bar. I'll try it out for a bit and see how it goes. Seems pretty good otherwise and multitouch works as it should. Thanks op for posting this.

JB keyboard app won't let me use pen

So, I recently updated to JB and the default Samsung keyboard won't change to accept handwriting. I looked around in settings but didn't see anything to make them work.
Thank you!

On the keyboard there is a T with a little pen next to it. Click on that and it allows handwriting.

Need a keyboard supporting arrows

Iam using swiftkey keyboard on my Note 1 N7000 and love the arrows feautre to move between words to correct or change words, this feature is not available for swiftkey keyboard tablet version,or the stock keybord, any other recommendations?
I admit this is a major failing for Swiftkey keyboard, which is otherwise a cracking keyboard.
Thumb keyboard has multiple layouts for tablets and also includes arrow keys.
will look at it, do you use it? how is it compared with swiftkey?
Edit
ooops, does not support my native language (Arabic):crying:
Have you tried Hacker's Keyboard in the Play Store. I think it is one of the best layouts available.

Just another tip (especially for those needing some greek letters for math symbols, i.e. α, β, γ, δ, ε, θ, λ, μ, π, ρ, φ, ψ, ω, Γ, Π, Σ, Φ, Ψ, Ω....)
You may ask yourself (as I did): "How can I insert all those symbols if there's no "sym" button?"
Simple answer: in the "Settings" - "Input languages" select "Eλληνικά [el]" (Greek) as an additional input language. After that, with a quick slide on the spacebar, you'll have all those Greek letters in the Greek keyboard layout.
Other examples of symbols that can be typed with the "Hacker's keyboard" are:
≤, ≥, ≈, √, ā, ∞ (x±y)²=x²+y²±2x•y
And, if you use the the Circle key another plenty of exotic symbols can be added, such as
♥ ⓚ a₁ ⅘2ⁿ...
(see this and this links)
It would be much simpler by using the traditional ALT+CharCode combination for the Ascii characters, but I didn't find a way to use that method (the Alt key seems not to combine with the character numeric code).

Have you tried enabling the "Sliding key events" in the options? I've tried and it seems it doesn't actually work to be used as a swipe feature. But I'm no "swipe" expert so I can't be sure....

I have the latest version: 1.34rc9
I am using swiftkey phone edition on my tablet and it has both swipe and arrows. (i did not see a reason why i had to buy a different version for my tablet and I'm glad I didn't).

Take a look at Kii. Got it today after seeing this thread and doing a bit of looking. Liking it so far. Arrows, numerics, special characters with long press and several templates.

Another great keyboard is Ultra keyboard. One time it was very famous. I have been using it for a few years now.

Its probably the TalkBack feature for the blind. It helps them navigate by touch and tells them what they're touching and asks whether that's what they want to select.
