Just because they have the same name, doesnt mean the phones share somewhat similar hardware. Just think like both phones had different names. Then would you have still posted in this section?

Although you just want this community to help you get more signature, you should not disturb this thread.
No offense, I recommend you to search some community of Galaxy Ace.
I found the community in Facebook about Galaxy Ace Plus, a big community of our phone.
Good luck for you to get more you want!

I saw Galaxy Ace S5830 run Android 4.3. So I believe your variant could get it, too. And my Galaxy ace plus might get it. Just hope for it.

This cannot be open by the XDA developer?
Or it needs chipsets company to support the development of the software?

That doesn't matter or justify it. You might be right, you might be wrong, but what if everybody did that? The dev section would be over-cluttered with non dev stuff, and nobody wants that. If you reaaaaaaaally want to post a question in the dev section post it in the stickied Q&A thread, dont make a new one

CM 10.1 on Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus

Hello all,
I will apologise in advance for asking this question, there is probably a logical answer whether it is possible or not, but I am new new to all of this, so I have no idea.
So here we go;
There is a CM 10.1 rom out now for the Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830). Is it possible to get THIS rom working properly on my Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus (GT-S7500)?
Thanks in advance.
I've just found this link, but I didn't had the time to try that 10.1 ROM:
http://mobotechie.com/android/how-to-update-samsung-galaxy-ace-plus-s7500-to-android-4-2-1-jellybean-ultimate-guide
I've found some comments at the bottom... I'll let you know when I'll try it, I'm very busy in these days.
Dont try it;it is not for sga plus; i wad tried and ......

A dev rrishabh1809 is giving cm10.1 for our phone just P.M him. The only problem is that you have to thank him in all his posts, pretty weird but worked for me.

What's with the spamming? I see this guy has posted exactly the same thing on another thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38374717&postcount=258
And anyway, for the OP, I think cm10.1 of ace cannot be ported to ace plus as they have different chipsets. Devs are working on CM10 though, and a couple of threads on CM10 for ace plus are already present.
ace plus already has cm10.1

Forum moderators!

Hi,
It might just be me but I find it annoying to lure out every i9505 thread in a forum filled up with i9500 threads.
Is it possible to split it down to two seperate subforums, kind of like the way it's done in SGS3 forum?
Cheers!
Isnt the i9305 and i9300 in the same forum ?

They are but as you can see in the screenshot they're separated into two different subforums; one for i9300 dev and one for i9305 dev, that's what I'd like to see here.

How about a separate forum for Rogers i337m?
General discussion should be universal. Dev forums should be splitted.

Cheers.

Help PLEASE

Hello everyone,
I would like to start by saying I'm totally new to this world, so I ask that you hang in there with me. Ok
So I just rooted my Samsung sch-r820 (galaxy admire 4g) with metro pcs.
I want to update my software. I install clockworkmod but it seems not to be working.
I tried cyanmod but my device is unsupported. So my question is can i even update anything. Or am i stuck with gingerbread til i buy a new device.

By doing a quick Google search I couldn't find any development for this device here at XDA. So probably there won't be any CWM recovery/CyanogenMod ports for this model. Also don't try installing CWM recovery or CyanogenMod mentioned for other devices, as doing it so will brick your device.
I was wondering if I could use the Samsung admire info do you know?

Not sure what you meant by Samsung Admire Info?!
I know your device is Samsung Admire 4G, but what exactly do you want to modify in it? If you are looking for ICS ports, the chances for it will be quite less considering its not much popular device.

Samsung Admire, or Galaxy Admire ... both should be same.
Samsung Galaxy Admire has 800Mhz processor and Admire 4G has 1Ghz, so as there is a change in hardware most likely it won't work. You may need to port the ROM to Admire 4G in order for it to work.
I have no idea what port is or how to do it. Thank you for taking the time out and helping me.

Yeah, porting is something beyond the scope of what you've asked. Anyways if interested you can always have a look for Tutorials in XDA University, as there are tons of them. Good luck and have a nice day. :good:
