Multiple Problems with CyanogenMod - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am curious as to who else has seen these problems with CyanogenMod 10.1 and 10.2 Nightlies.
Swiping notifications away from Facebook Messenger app will crash Facebook Messenger.
CyanogenMod Boot Animation resolution issue: The boot logo is off center at initial loading, but straightens out when system resources are loaded.
CRT Screen animation does not work
Camera lockscreen widget does not appear even when the box is checked "Show Camera Widget On Lockscreen." This does not in any way relate to the other camera application "Focal"
For boot animation issue, see my XDA post: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2356921
What I've tried:
Flashed device to stock ROM using ODIN
Re-rooted the device using the auto root tool for this device
Flashed CWM Recovery latest version (Touch) using ODIN
Re-installed the latest version of CyanogenMod 10.1 Stable And 10.2 Nightly Build
Feel free to add to the list of bugs / problems.
Thank you for your support,
-RespawnedEvil

[DEV][05/04/12][new alpha3] xDEOS-CyanogenMod-9.0.0-UNOFFICIAL (v. 4.0.4 for U8150)

MOTIVATION
Welcome in the official thread of the project. This post is made to let discover you why this project is born. We are two universitary students that want more about a new branch of th IT Area, the Embedded OS Porting. We have a particular device, the HUAWEI IDEOS U8150, so our port is in this direction.
So don't ask to us why we are porting this version of Android with this device, because this project starts for educate ourself to the porting of Android OS, in particular we are oriented to port CyanogenMod ver 9. We made research to define a good porting for this device, so all the support ,moral, technical and economic(we need more RAM and CPU frequency) is really appreciated. We are also thinking to port, after this ROM Porting, the MIUI v4.
We work to create a stable ROM that could enjoy all great people that have this device. We think that newest releases of Android could run on this kind of mid-low level devices, so we make all the possible to complete this work.

Hey, tried it out, works great on my T-Mobile Comet. No SIM card, so don't know how it does on the network, but yeah, it's usable, thanks for this!
Is there a way to get haptic feedback on the soft buttons?
May want to put on the first page how to install ICS gapps.
For some reason, Gapps won't work.

[Q] CM 10.1 security tab force closes?

Hello everyone,
As the title states, I'm running CM 10.1.3 rc2 on my P5113 using the p5110 build and every time I go to settings and tap on either lock screen/ screen security or the security tab itself the program force closes and says "unfortunately, settings has stopped."
Any idea what the cause is?
Same thing happened on 10.2 as well.

i have the same problem, im using p5100 and CM 10.1.2 stable version. everty time i tap on settings>security it will close
i think i have found what caused this, its because i have installed custom kernel, i've trying installing custom kernel and without it..
the kernel i've installed that caused this problem was DhollmenCM..
i have PMed the developer, he said the latest kernel have this issue (DhollmenCM-P51xx-Kernel_20130825), so he suggest me to install the july version

cyanogenmod 10.2 bluetooth keyboard not found

I just installed cyanogenmod 10.2 on my tab 2 7.0 and i turned on bluetooth however my bluetooth keyboard which worked in stock doesn't show up when scanning. I'm not sure if bluetooth is even working at all.

Ok the keyboard connected after a while. It was actually the keyboard that was having issues since after a while I was able to see my neighbors in the dorm next to me s mac book showing up on bluetooth. The only issue I have still is that the delete key doesn't really function as backspace I have to highlight a chunk of text then hit it to delete. I downloaded an app called delete key as backspace but I can't figure out how to set that up. I looked in the screenshot instructions but cannot find a section for physical keyboard.

where is that exactly I looked and all I can seem to fine are languages but I looked and theres nothing in there about delete as backspace
I have a P5113 running cm 10.2 nightly. It seems to be finicky with bluetooth. I use sixaxis to connect my PS3 controller, but sometimes it just won't connect. Have to manually turn on/off bluetooth a few times, wait a few seconds, try again. It eventually will work though.

I'm using a version called cm-10.2-20130919-UNOFFICIAL-p3110 It's not a nightly or even an official cyanogenmod supported version I think. I just ended up with it by following a youtube tutorial. This makes me think that when cyanogenmod for the tab 2 7.0 progresses I won't be able to update through cyanogenmod update.
If this is the case will I be able to just flash a rc version of 10.2 when it becomes available without having to wipe data factory reset? I really hate having to reinstall everything
please tell my you can put the home back and multitasking buttons back to normal in that rom. I really don't like what they have done with hiding them and having you drag your finger up from the bottom to get at them.
Really I just want the lightest rom possible using the least amount of resources on my tablet

I see you switched to PAC Rom already but back to your original question.
There was a Bluetooth keyboard problem with CM 10.2 early versions.
I think you were using Cody's version of CM 10.2 in the latest versions of CM 10.2 they fixed the "Bluetooth Keyboard Bug" so if you want to use CM 10.2 you just need the latest versions or you can install an app to fix the Keyboard problem and keep using the older versions.

thank you I am downloading the app. I have not switched to pac rom I was debating it but I ended up going with cm because its not bloated.
As I mentioned in an earlier post I think I am using an unofficial build of cm 10.2 built sometime in september. Would I be able to flash an official nightly build without having to wipe data factory reset Again the file I have currently flashed is cm-10.2-20130919-UNOFFICIAL-p3110

I think this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391355 is the Rom you are using it's the same one I use on my P3113. When CM 10.2 first came out they had a BT problem and that app worked for me.
I believe CM fixed the problem before Cody's last release and my keyboard has been working again without needing the App to fix it.
I just checked my Backspace button and it works fine on my BT 3.0 keyboard.
I did switch the Kernel to Next 2.1.2 so I don't know if that makes any difference.
I would ask in Cody's thread about being able to flash the latest CM 10.2 over Cody's without doing a clean install.

[ROM][OFFICIAL][NIGHTLIES]Vanir-AOSP | Optimization Level Legendary|

List all Questions and Off-Topic discussions here
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op
issues:
- stop flashing the moto X binaries. they do not improve anything for you and aren't even for your device.
- open source camera and launcher3 do not have the same featuers as the google versions. use the latest
banks standard gapps if you'd like these. His gapps are super legit and always up to date.

I flashed ROM yesterday and WiFi was broken and today I flashed only kernel (torched 4.8) and WiFi is working
I have to say, this ROM is very impressive! Great UI tweaks, very fast, ART works very well. The only bug I've noticed is my cell signal goes out completely for a few seconds every once in a while. Otherwise, very awesome indeed!

The latest nightly is pretty stable, been having no issues whatsoever, except the need to flash a new radio every few days or so, but that could just be due to my own location.

And also WiFi doesn't work on stock kernel. Only working with torched 4.8. I guess it's related to the latest changes with the WiFi. When I first flashed the ROM it didn't work so I flashed torched to fix it but I've had a lot of random reboots since 3-4 days so I just got back on stock kernel only to remember WiFi is broken.
Edit : still getting random reboot also on stock kernel. I'll try and grab a last_kmsg next time it happens.

Vanir 4.4.4 build required
Hi,
I see that the last vanir build for evita for 4.4.4 was this vanir_evita_4.4.4.112414
But the official repo for vanir only hosts 5.0 builds. If somebody has it downloaded can you please send it to me.
Any help is much appreciated.
TIA!
I love AOSP ROMs but the latest nightlies that I've installed have crashed right after the boot. Please, look into that.

audio issues
Hey, just wanted to say thanks to Robbie, this rom is awesome. Considering this is an alpha build as well, it just feels so smooth and stable.
One issue im having is with music playback- the buzzing every so often. I've tried a few things such as installing Viper4Android etc to no avail. I was wondering if today's build fixes this?
If not, there seem to be loads of audio related merges to the cm12 branch this morning which seem to deal with the issue. Am i right in thinking that they'll make the next build?
Thanks again!

Hi,
I m unable to flash the latest build with v4a. Whenever i flash the lollilop mod of it with the ROM, all the ootb n play music crashes. However, the 3rd party players can still play. Pl .suggest how shd i flash v4a with this ROM.
I've been experiencing random boot loop, on a clean install. Not bad, but annoying.
Does this ROM support encryption?
Reboots from lockscreen notifications
Just updated to the ak 074 build running Blisspop and everytime I double tap a notification on the lockscreen I get a reboot. Any suggestions?
Since the latest i get reboots when getting a notification while display is off. But there is some time in between as peek is able to display the notification.
Good but...
Just flashed last build with v87 AK kernel. Seems as smooth as the previous one, but I've lost ~ 1000 points under Antutu benchmark (I can post details if required), and phone seems quite hot in my pocket as it was with other ROMs I used to try.
All features seems fine though.
Do I have a way to check average temperature over a period of time?
