Hello there.
I couldn't find any thread that was about my specifik problem.
Yesterday I updated my HTC one x to the new sense 5 and got formiliare with the productivity lock screen.
It worked great, and I have been using it together with the tasker app. So when I have an appointment or task it remindes me on the lock screen.
But a few hours ago it just disappered. I have checked the app and calender in the settings for productivity lock screen, and they are on, but nothing shows up, even if I make a new appointment. If i get a sms it shows up, but that's it.

Hi all,
I have an O2 Orbit II and I can't get appointments to show on the Today screen.
In the full user manual it says to go to start > Settings > Personal > Today, Itams tab, then select Calendar and tap Options.
The problem I have is there is no Calendar in the list, there is an O2 Calendar which is ticked but there are no options for it.
Can any of you help me to get appointments to show on the Today screen.
Thanks.
I have the XDA Orbit 2 and I do have a calendar option in my Items tab. Strange.
I don't use it as I use S2U2 (the iPhone looking "slide to unlock" screen) to show my upcoming appointments when I turn the screen on.
Perhaps try that? It's a great app and it's free.
Hi,
I have an orbit 2 and swear by the freeware calendar plus :
http://www.mohairsofa.com/Default.aspx/document/10
it's the nuts and is a straight replacement for the standard calendar plugin !
p.s. the statement of "it's the nuts!" is my opinion only.
I don't use it as I use S2U2 (the iPhone looking "slide to unlock" screen) to show my upcoming appointments when I turn the screen on.
I have installed S2U2. But the thing is even though the screen is locked touch flow is still on which bugs me a lot. And more over when i am getting a call, only the number is getting displayed and not the name of the person. Any where I need to make some configuration changes
Hmm... just tried mine, and yes touchflo is on when the screen is on, but I'd never noticed. Out of interest why does it bother you, you're not likely to accidently activate it, or at least I haven't so far.
I hear a lot about people not getting caller ID, but mine's always worked well. Are your contacts on the phone or SIM card? And are you absolutely sure you haven't got the same number in there twice anywhere?
Finally, are you using version 0.99c?
I don't know if it is just the Sprint Hero, but the big clock widget that has the weather does not update the time. I am using DC 2.05 and have had the same problem running the stock ROM as well.
I have the transparent 2.1 flan style lockscreen so I can see the homescreen without having to unlock the phone, and unfortunetly their are 3 clocks, the lockscreen one, the one in the upper right and the HTC clock widget is in the middle and always off.
I will give an example (It is not because of the 2.1 lockscreen either, I and many others have had this problem who are using the HTC lock screen)
If i turn my phone on at 6:00 and send a text, and then turn it off,
Then check an email at 6:20, when I turn my phone on I see the transparent lockscreen so I can see the lockscreen time, and the upper right time is 6:20, but the HTC clock widget is at 6:00, becasue that is the last time I turned my phone on. Then after 2-3 seconds after I unlock my phone, the HTC clock will update to 6:20.
I know this seems reiculous but the widget takes up half of the home screen and doesn't even work right.
I have never developed an app or anything, but think I know the problem
I used Beautiful widgets and the main clock that shows the time and the weather always had the right time.
The problem must be that the HTC clock does not have access to, or is not getting the time from the system when the device is off, but rather when the phone is on, it updates it. The beautiful widgets app is, and the minute will change the same time the clock in the upper right does. However, with the HTC clock, when I am on my home screen sometimes it takes 5-6 seconds to change, even when the phone is on. So if my phone was on at 6:00 and I went on the internet for 5 minutes and click home, the HTC clock would stay on 6:00 lag for 5-6 seconds and then change to 6:05. It defeats the purpose of having a big clock..
I have searched and cannot find a fix for this, also I have had this problem when running the stock rom, and have had 2 heros, both having the problem,
any ideas, or way to fix the widget to get system time access?
hum. ive never had a problem with the stock htc clock like that. and ive ran pretty much all the roms out there.. currently on fresh 2.0d...

What he is saying is the Weather and Clock widget under the Htc Clock widget does not update the time unless you are on the home page. You put your phone to sleep, you open an app, make a call, etc and once you go back to the home screen it takes a couple of seconds to update it. Yeah, I have this issue to.
I think the reason that it doesn't update until you are on that particular home screen is to save battery life. Anything constantly checking something will reduce battery time. Might not be alot, but I think that is why.

The widgets don't update while the phone is asleep to conserve battery (as was just mentioned). You only see this behavior because you have a modified lockscreen that makes it transparent. That's not how it is was designed by HTC. The extra few seconds to unlock the phone and actually see your home screen would be the delay it usually needs to update the clock.
That or HTC could make all of their widgets continue to use cpu cycles when you aren't looking at them.
On my HTC Sensation the Mail widget does not refresh regularly enough. It is very often out of sync with what's in my inbox(es). Even if I go into and out of the mail app from he widget and mark items as read or see that new items have arrived it does not update for ages.
The Calendar widget on the other hand updates way to often and takes too long to refresh. Almost every time I switch to the home screen with the Calendar widget it refreshes and takes 3-4 seconds so I have to wait to see my next calendar events in a view that is supposed to be providing me with "at a glance" information.
Anyone know of a fix for this or seen the behaviour themselves.
I have one home screen with a full screen mail widget showing inboxes for all accounts (of which I have three) and I have another home screen with a full screen calendar widget showing a single (exchange) calendar.

Hi,
I didn't notice problems with my calendar - it updates normally.
But as for the mail, I don't use mail widget, but I noticed that when I enter to mail application (i've got 3 POP3 mail accounts), sometimes when it is updating my mails, it downloads all e-mails (not only new ones, but old also) again to InBox... I've noticed this about 4-5 times now... Is this normal? I don't think so...
Same exact issue for me. I can't find a place to adjust the sync timing settings for the sense widgets... The calendar refresh is driving me freaking crazy.
Here is my thread on it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116401
Same issue here the small calendar widget is on my home screen and it seems to refresh whenever i unlock my phone or when i exit an app. Didn't have this behavior on my Desire =/
Might have fixed it.... go to HTC Hub, settings menu.... accounts and sync... remove the check from update when opened
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App

Oh yeah. Seems to fix it. Thanks!
Alternatively just go to Settings>Account and Sync>HTC Sense and uncheck it =)
Does anyone else have this problem? Im still having this issue and its really annoying me on a near perfect phone...
Hmm after using it for about a day, the issue is still present though it seems to be happening less frequently
Just curious, how many of you guys use the lock screen? I for one, since the day I bought my inspire, disabled the lock screen. I simply have no use for it.
How about you guys?
I use the app "No Lock", works perfect for me.....
Bounce between Widgetlocker and the Sense 3.0 lockscreen. She lives in my pocket and needs to be restrained when I'm not paying attention to her. Touchscreen & all that.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using the power of the dark side.
I bounce around with mine. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not. But I same as you use no lock to rid myself of it. Most times I don't feel i need a second screen to go through just to get to my apps and stuff
I have the rotary unlock and a PIN after that. I figure that with my phone rooted someone who doesn't know what they're doing messing with settings could really cause problems and some apps have my credit card info so i like to have it locked, it's pretty quick to unlock.
Disabled it the hour I got it and never looked back...
I use Executive Assistant as the lockscreen and disable the regular one
I never use stock 2.2 sense lock, only 3.0. I like widgetlocker, but I'm running cm7, so i use default on the lens setting. looks great.

I love it. I use the sliding tab lockscreen with the four tabs. I use it quite often.
I definitely use mine (Widgetlocker). I place everything I might want/need to see on it. Currently I have an icon for the app Screen Off and Lock, and the following widgets: Watchdog, CurrentWidget, SetCPU, Next Alarm, and MissedIt (unread counts). I disabled interactions for everything except the icon for Screen Off and Lock (I set the timeout for the lockscreen to be 30 seconds, giving me plenty of time to look at my device information. I use the Screen Off app to turn it off as soon as I'm done).
Hi everyone,
I just switched from iPhone to android and so far so good, have the S6. The one issue though is with the lock screen and notifications as I find they work weird compared to iPhone. There's 2 issues I'm having:
1) Using the Samsung lock screen right now, tried some others but none seem any better. The issue I have is for example someone might comment on Facebook, so a notification appears on the lock screen, fine. I get an email, same thing, get someone adding me on twitter, it works as expected. The problem is that if I go on my laptop and read those notifications on Facebook.com, or on Twitter.com, Outlook etc, they don't disappear from the lock screen or the notification bar on the phone. On the iPhone if you opened it elsewhere, they would disappear right away from the phone. So I'll have my phone constantly showing like 5 new emails, even though they are long gone and I have to actually dismiss the notification for it to go away. It seems like it doesn't do it automatically. Is that just how android works or is there a better lock screen for this?
2) When I had the Nexus 5 previously, on that lockscreen you could just double tap on a notification and open right to it. That doesn't work on this lock screen, you have to tap it then swipe to unlock which doesn't always work. More importantly though on the Nexus 5 it seemed like I could interract more with the notifications on the lock screen, like pull down on them for reply options etc, but I don't seem to really get that on the S6. Swiping down doesn't usually do anything, and it only seems to show 2 or 3 notifications as bars, and then the rest are tiny icons under it.
So not sure if this is all normal or if there's something better I can do or use? Number 1 is more my issue, I feel like I've taken a step back in time, where the phone and computer aren't talking to each other. iPhone I never had to do that as much it seems so not sure if there's a better lock screen or something.
