[Q] Wifi download speeds up then down - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have noticed when using Utorrent and being on wifi that my downloads start out a little low and then build up to what I would think they should be, about 1.8M and will stay there for about a couple minutes and then they drop down to mid 200K and stay there. If I download from a browser I don't notice this slow down. I get good speeds from speedtest.net. On 4.1.2 touchwiz galaxy s3. Anyone else experience this?

Anyone else experiencing slow 4G speeds?

I've been browsing the web normally and started noticing a drop off in loading speed. So since then I've been playing with SpeedTest every now and then, and I'm averaging less than 2.4mbps down and 1.1mbps up. Often times its less (for today anyways). Normally I pull speeds at around 5mbps-12mbps (advertised speed) and around 2-3mbps in the same areas. (Primarily Oakland and Berkeley, CA)
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this today?
Updated the radio, thought that was the problem. Then restored to my old radio, and same problem. I started getting 4G drops, with ehrpd up. Been playing around with LTE only, and enabling Rev. A. Regardless my speeds are a bit sluggish to say the least.
It's always slow. I live in los Angeles.
^_^_^
In NYC speeds dip down to 10mbps during the peak hours in Manhattan, but in Queens and Brooklyn I still get 35-50mbps all day long.

Is charge faster for tethering than tb?

I have a thunderbolt and although when I run speedtests on the phone I get 10+ almost always. When i tether using wireless tether or barnacle I am lucky if I get 1.5. Is this the same issue on the charge? Are you able to run a speedtest on your laptop connected to wifi and get fast speeds?
Thanks
I get around 10 mb/s on speedtests app but I ALWAYS have a 1 bar at my house, it's probably just my low connection but who knows, 10mb/s is still insanely fast
I get about 15 down doing a speed test tethering from my laptop. Average download speeds on torrents, I can hit over 2 MB down. Cant complain.

[Q] What causes one phones connection speed to be faster than anothers?

I was at Verizon the other day playing around with their LTE phones and running speed test. The Razr and Nexus were both getting around 25-30Mbit/s and the Rezound sitting next to it was getting 40-45Mb/s. All were full bars on LTE and wifi was off. Just wondering how one phones connection speed could be almost twice that of anothers in the same location on the same network.
a 2 times difference is huge.
the internet and or cell location might have got busy when running the second test
interference with other phone right next to it might have slowed the slower phone.

LTE on my phone is slow and stutters when doing speedtest

Hi,
i have 2 nexus 5 in front of me and i did speedtest at the same time. both phones are on tmobile LTE. the other nexus get speeds of constant ~20Mbs down and while performing the speedtest, the animation and speeds r constant and smooth. mine however, starts off at 20+Mbs, then it stutters and u can see the animation from the speedtest app stop and go, stop and go and my speed rapidly decreases. the other phone finish the speedtest first even though i started first.

Honor View 10 : Slow bandwidth (4G and WiFi)

Hi all! I've been looking for some answers but without success. So here is my question, and hopefully I didn't miss the answers somewhere in the forum
I have a Honor View 10 with the latest updated (Android 10). I noticed that the device's bandwidth seems very slow (between 0.5 and 1MB/s download in 4G with full reception and between 1 and 6MB/s in WiFi, 1 meter away from the WiFi spot at home).
In the same conditions I get around 3 to 5x more bandwidth with an old iPad mini 2
Rebooting the V10 or going on plane mode for >15 seconds doesn't help. The bandwidth isn't stable, sometimes it's better sometimes a lot worse.
Question : is there any bandwidth limiter that activates on these phones when they get old?
I think I checked all the usual issues that could explain this problem. The 4G bandwidth could be bad for a ton of reasons. But what I don't understand is how any Apple product seems to have at least 10MB/s bandwidth on my WiFi, while this phone sometimes drops at 1MS/s (same conditions, less than 1 meter from the WiFi spot)
Thanks in advance for your replies
