The verizon page shows no branding on the home button (or anywhere else for that matter) of the Note 3 on thier page. Could this be the end!!!

Lol that is definitely a good thing, I'm still going to need an SPG button cover probably because I think it's too flush with the rest of the bezel; I like the way the cover raises it a little bit.
I'm also hoping the faux-leather thing going on with the back cover means VZW can't stick that huge ugly checkmark and LTE logo on it. Even though I'll be going the ZL route but still.
I'm betting Verizon just put that page up there to have some "Note 3 presence". I'm also betting the final Verizon Note 3 will have Verizon branding. But, I'm hoping it will only be on the back.

Im guessing that the leather back is something that will be bought additional and it will come with a plastic back. They showed a ton of backs in the event. Thats premium though. Might need to get a plastic one if using with a case...
good luck with that. This from the carrier that just etched their logo into the back of the HTC One. It will be there.

Yeah but at the same time the carrier interference is all about leverage, which is why there's no branding on an iphone. Samsung had more leverage than HTC.

I think they learned from all the backlash, and I imagine they lost some sales because of it. I have no doubt they'll still brand the back, which I'm fine with, but there is no need to brand the home button, and I hope they realized that.

Can anyone find a carrier in the US that allows you to buy a 64GB version? I am with Verizon and they will only offer the 32GB version.
We will get the leatherette back, the question is will it be printed on or embossed into the back of it with the 4GLTE crap and VERIZON. I don't care since mine go into a case anyways.

I was wondering if this case is for the Skyrocket/T-Mobile S2. I known it says Nexus on the sticker. But at first I thought it was for the AT&T S2, but then noticed the oval style camera cutout similar to your guys' phone.
Oh, and I'm referring to the case on the left. Not the one to the right.
Reason is, SGP keeps screwing up my order. I ordered one for my Nexus like 2 weeks ago, and finally they send me one and it's this one. Definitely not for my Nexus. I'm trying to tell them it's wrong but they're insisting it's for the Nexus.
Anyways, long story short. Once I get my correct case I'm not sending this one back. Would rather give it away to an XDA member. So I was hoping I could figure out what phone this case is for.

The speaker cutout and the camera seems to be in the right spot for the skyrocket. Wouldnt fit the t989, their speaker is on the other side
Yes its for the skyrocket

No it isn't.....The camera cutout is rounded. Ours is more squared. Also, the whole case is squared too much.

Gnex is too rounded. I think it's a Galaxy case, but don't know which variant.
Really? Then I'm stumped. Can't be VZW Nexus as well because the speaker is in the middle like the GSM not to the right side. Well if this isn't for the Skyrocket or T989 then I have no other idea. Dunno what else to do with it lol.

I explained it on my first post. I ordered one for my GN, but they gave me that instead. Says GN on the sticker but tales one second to see that it's not even close to the shape of the GN. And the speaker is centered on my Nexus, not off to the side.

Sucks more or less than dropping $600 for another one entirely?
I would recommend this case. I've dropped my phone twice. Once about 5 feet onto a wooden deck, and once about 3-4 feet on to concrete. Both times it landed on a corner.
Through luck and the case, my phone has zero damage. Actually, the time I dropped the phone on the deck, the impact was enough for some of the deck's paint to transfer on to the case.
i dropped mine on the pavement and my five year old stepped right on it! full weight no damage. landed screen down. otterbox defender FTW!

A copper penny did the trick on my Bionic. Hard enough to remove the logo, but soft enough not to scratch the bezel.
I will get this phone on launch day but the moment some aluminum button stickers or any color for that matter are released, I'll be one of the first to put an order in. I doubt the S3's button stickers would work on it. They look like they're different sizes

The button can be replaced soooo easy so that it's not a big deal but what IS a big deal is when Samsung would let them modify the look of the entire phone in that way! Samsung just caters far too much to these ASSHOLE US carriers!! Mainly Verizon.... If I didn't have unlimited data then Verizon would have no impact on my carrier choice... Samsung already has to make 10 different models for the same phone and now they gotta put some stupid ass logo on one of the carriers home buttons! What they NEED to focus on is releasing a 32gb or 64gb model instead of this crap... LOL
let me guess the bootloader is locked down for better network security and stability:fingers-crossed:
The logo is there in case you forget that you're using VZW. Same for the VZW logo on the back. Who doesn't love an awkwardly placed cooperation logo on their $600+ device?

Because it's OUR phone? If you like it the by all means enjoy it, but so far you're the only one.
My phone had really bad screen burn in, asked for a replacement under warranty.
The replacement apparently had a motherboard defect, eventually not recognizing the battery and all sorts of other crazy behavior.
The second replacement has a dent in the glass (not crack), and under that dent are some black ghost images that look like crack lines. As if someone cracked their screen and Verizon never replaced the digitizer/Amoled panel, just the glass.
I'm worried this will get worse, and then Verizon will claim I did it and that it voided the warranty. So I'll send this one back too.
Let's see how many replacements I can go through before one works how I want it to. :good:
I got into the habit of taking my sealed refurbished phones with me to my bored Verizon corporate store and opening them with the manager. We both got some laughs at the utter crap they send out. I never wanted blamed for their mess.

I agree, at this point I would pretty much demand a new phone after you've already received 2 bad refurbs.
I got some horrible replacements sent to me when I had a Galaxy Nexus...I think 5 altogether (I then demanded to be sent an s3, and they actually agreed). I even had a replacement s3 sent to me that lasted for all of two hours before the backlight died. I never got a new phone sent to even though I asked multiple times... But you never know until you ask.

I wish I would have done this! I received the third replacement today, and it's "STA" date on the back is 1/11/2014.
Unfortunately it has 4.3 already installed on it. So only possibly root for me.
I thought it would be new because of that date, but I did a screen test, and it still isn't a new phone, there are dark artifacts. Testing everything out right now to make sure its ok.
after the third swap theyll give you a diffrent phone if you ask

I think this phone is really, really sharp. I got the silver one and have already found myself looking at it in admiration. It's a really beautiful phone. I don't get why so many people said it was so ugly once the photos of it came out.
How did you get a silver one?
I called my local Verizon and asked what they had in stock. They had one silver one and I asked them to hold it for me. Went and picked it up!
The silver titanium is wonderful! I'm just waiting for my cover to arrive to apply the final details. I give a 9/10 to the look of the phone. and the UI, it might be simple, yet witht he skins/themes it looks very sophisticated (i hope they create at least 300+ themes, or that they allow people to create themes too.
Silver looks so good had to put a clear case on it!
