Please delete this thread...sorry
Not to be a prick but this belongs in the general section. You did not develop anything and that is what the develop section is for.

Understood, I saw other questions pop up in here before, so I thought I could ask a question regarding firmware since this is the area I can download it.
So I've got a question, and I hope this is the right forum. I have an HTC Thunderbolt and I use Instagram. A friend that has an iPhone told me about an app called InstaDM. I did some digging and found an .apk on the web, but it's from a site that I don't know how I feel about it.
I was not able to post a link, but the name of the site is WebPicture.
Is there a way to test out the integrity of an .apk file before installing it to see what kind of stuff it may be doing in the background? If you tell me to delete the .apk and not install it, I have no issue with that, but I thought I would at least ask before moving forward.
Thanks.

I am sorry but I have discovered, that I posted question in wrong section. Please delete.
Hi,
My name is Edward and I am new on this forum.
I tried to ask a question in the java developers section but he says this is not a Q&A forum asking questions is against the forum rules.
In the section I'll see all kind of questions.
Please tell me what I do wrong?
pLEASE DELETE THIS!!
You just posted exactly the same thread in the q&a section. It's against XDA rules to make duplicate posts, let alone duplicate threads. I'm asking mods to remove this.

Don't create multiple posts for the same question.
Question/support issues don't belong in the General section.
I already answered your question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433422
This is one of the reasons why cross-posting is a bad idea. You jump around to another thread, while someone is helping you in another.
