Got bootloop on stock .
Flashed via cwm route
Then flashed breakfast kernel 1.19 ghz via odin
Stable & overclock working
I was wondering tht if my device do not support ur kernel then flashing ur ROM will give me bootloops as it contain ur kernel???
Am i wrong?
If so then i think u should add a breakfast kernel 1.19ghz as it would be more widely acceptable
Thank you for helping me

my rom contains the 1.3 ghz breakfast kernel, and this kernel will go perfectly with SilverNexus ROM & KyleOpen ROM

overclock is a way to increase your cpu speed.fit have 600mhz preset but with custom roms u can get upto 800mhz.it will increase the performance of ur phone.
go to development section and install a rom like razodroid and install then the oc kernel in it.
Sent from my GT-S5670 using XDA App
how can i use overclock? i am using creed's rom 1.7.2 and flashed the OC kernel + memory hack. i cant use them both.
hey man
you must install no-frills from the market if you dont have.
then you can select governer and scheduler.
ondemand and deadline for example
or lagfree /deadline
powersave/ "
if you installed memory hack, it can be that you cant download apps from the market....but there are goods apps app2sd or S2E
i have them on the razodroid V1 and it runs wonderfull

Kernel suggestion

Hello all I m new in SGSL forum so for some days I will be asking question so don't get exhausted .
I am searching for some good kernel, I am not asking for overclock kernels, I want a kernel which has no overclock,
Should be fast, stable, without bugs, which has lots of governor (smartass v2, interactive etc.) And should not be in beta version.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
use doomlord's UC kernel. Non OC is also available in it. And its a kind request that u should plz request ur questions in this thread only. Don't creat new thread for each single questions.

Hi,
i use vurrut v8, its seems good!
anyway i suggest if you want battery using stock kernel or UC Kernel not overclocked, DO NOT USE OTHER PHONE KERNEL, USE ONLY I9003 THINGS
what do you prefer? battery or performance?
if battery use
oc kernel v7 NO-OC with interactiveX governor
performance:
vurrut v8_beta1 Smartassv2 1350 Overclock
Nothing to hard ^^
Battery life- scary/lionheart and bfq
Uc kernel v9 is awesome, esp the recovery

Come on! Update your phone!

If you want help, I am there to do so
Anything in flashing!
And, Yep, The UC kernel is real good.
As an alternative you can also go for vurrut!

[KERNEL] Overclocked kernel compiled from source

Attached is a quick compile of the newly released kernel source.
The only thing I have changed so far is to add 3 overclocked frequencies.
source is here:
https://github.com/dzo/kernel_ville
Flash it from CWM version 5.8.3.1 or later
It boots at 1.8GHz
Does wifi work alright with this?
This is for Eu one s?
Flashed on BlackDragon v5.0 with DualCore Mod already in place...now o/c'ed at 1.8GHz. Thanks for the (extremely quick!!!) work, mate!!
On trickdroid 3.0 us, just flashed zip and am over locked and ready to rumble.

I was/am on my wifi connection all day, and it had no effect on connection after flash. I have data turned off when I'm in the house (since it's so spotty anyway and I pay for the wifi). I think you're safe.
How's the battery life after flashing?

For me, I would like this kernel in the future, implement some other CPU governors such as SmartassV2 or Savedgen etc. Also, some more I/O schduler such as VR or simple or SIO.
And please overclock the GPU!
I think that one most important mod is overclock and undervolt and later custom governor and I/O scheduler!
hi, kenrel doe not work for CM9...i think it is the boot img...
CM9 is different to stock.... wouldn't work

you where quick there... didn't think you had already done a kernel from source. Thank you for that work.
I am sorry but for me the Kernel does not show more frequencies in SetCPU.
I am running Leedroid 2.1 on an EU phone with htcdev unlock and cid changed to htc germany.
The kernel installed without errors trying both CWM 5.8.3.1 Touch and no Touch.
It simply does not go above 1512 Mhz.
Ideas?

It'll be the initrd, take the CM9 boot.img and replace the kernel in it with the one in my boot.img using abootimg.

What kernel version does it report, it should say 3.0.8-g8bd784d [email protected] If not, it hasn't flashed correctly.
Try booting or installing it using fastboot instead.

OK you are right apparently it didnt install correctly. Kernel reports 3.0.8-01136-g9d2ad31 [email protected]#1.
would you mind telling me how to flash it using fastboot?
Thanks.
[EDIT]
Nevermind. Used LeeDroid's boot image flasher to learn the commands. Thanks for your work. Kernel is working good. Will no observe its impact on battery drain and performance.

Just flashed thru CWMR and working well. Using No frills CPU to set overclock and governor. Running awesome with no hiccups at 1.8. I have a US phone running Leedroid also with EU radio( getting better signal than US).

But to awnser your question, yes you can if you are rooted and have a unlocked bootloader.
Here you can find a kernel that will let you OC up to 1.6GHz. But there are many more out there.

I belive you have to install it using TWRP or CWM

First of all, thanks for doing this for such an unpopular device. Some wishes / suggestions here.
Would very much appreciate if you make the kernels CWM flashable, as suggested earlier here by someone else.
Possible to enable undervolting support? Would be interesting to experiment with both overclocking and voltage setups.
