turn off the notifications on the other email client on your phone
I may be crazy but is there not a way to search your inbox? I have tried using both CM7 and Sense email apps. Not talking about Gmail. Anyone no of a way to do this?
Are you willing to use a different email client? I know K-9 Mail has this functionality.

I recently installed CleanRom 2.0, on Rom 1.85, and can no longer send emails through stock email app. I can receive fine though. I can only send emails to other hotmail accounts. Does anyone know whats up with this?
Did you remove and readd the accounts?

Hello there!
I've noticed, that sent e-mail are not saved/moved (don't know which mechanism should be) into "Sent" folder. Well... they are, but they're just available from phone - there's no sign of e-mails on webmail or directly on desktop e-mail application (like Thunderbird or eM Client). Does any one experience similar issues?
my email app working good , sending and incoming mails all are good
Is your email account setup as IMAP?
Besides, I remember there's an auto BCC in the Settings menu that you can set to always auto BCC yourself...

You got it
For the record my favorite is Aqua Mail. It handles POP and IMAP with no problem.

I don't have this exact issue, but I noticed that any email more than a week old seems to be removed from the app and has to be searched for manually, especially the starred emails. I'm using a Yahoo account for mine though.

I'm not the OP, but the stock mail app is just a portal to these various email servers. For some reason though, the stock app doesn't continue to store messages older than about a week and you have to search the email server to retrieve them. It's annoying, but it works.
I tried using the Gmail app, but it lacked some of the features I use in the stock app. I also tried inbox and Yahoo's own app but neither of them would connect to my work email account.
So just like the OP, I'm having some issues with the stock app but it works better for my needs than the others. If you're also using the stock app, please chime in with your experience.
I was just curious if there are any preferred Email apps for Fire HD 8 that might be a bit faster than Gmail and the default Email app. Thanks for any suggestions!

I think that Gmail is the fastest. Tried some other Email apps, because of the minor problems in Gmail, but I came back to Gmail.

Thanks! I tested MailDroid, AquaMail and TypeApp when Gmail stopped working for a bit about a year ago but Gmail does make the most sense. The only other one I still have installed is TypeApp because it has a different layout but it never gets used
