[Q] Apps that can disable the Drop-Box feature - General Questions and Answers

Hi - I am looking to implement Notability via the GOOD MDM, however the app enables users to store documents in DropBox and there is no way of disabling this. Does anyone know of any other Document annotation/editing apps that allow the DropBox feature to be disabled?

[Q] ISO: App to designate with which google account other apps should interact

Hello XDA community, I'm looking for an app or other way to to specify with which google account on my phone other apps should interact. I find it strange that we can set up several google accounts on a single phone but then have no way to tell programs which to use ( on a case-by-case basis or even as a default).
The only app I've encountered that does support this functionality is Shawn Q.'s Quick App Tracker (search on market - I don't have enough posts to include an external link). In its preferences there is a field "Google Account" with a dropdown menu that self-populates with the google accounts set up on the phone - you choose one, and then the first time you use the program and it attempts to connect to the market it prompts you with an access request you can allow or deny.
So the functionality exists, but it is clearly not something frequently included with apps that request access via a google account to Android services. Does anyone know of an app or even way to manually control this?
thanks

Android Apps the Provide Contact/Calendar Integration...

One of the sorely (and inexplicably) missing features of Android is the ability to seamlessly integrate Contacts w/ Calendar and vice versa. What I mean is to be able to create a Calendar Event and automatically add People to it, creating a link which may be accessed at a future date.
So far, I am aware of only two Market Apps which provide this functionality, although neither is perfect:
DejaOffice
Contact Event
Is anyone aware of others? I don't mind paid apps if they actually work.
P.S., Windows Mobile 7 does this seamlessly. Have no idea why Google refuses to. I say "refuses" because the integration would be so simple they MUST be leaving it out on purpose for reasons known only to them.

[IDEA] Advanced Share Manager App

Hi all
Does anyone know of an app that allows you to manage the share actions you have in android?
ref http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/ShareActionProvider.html
When you try to share something now, say from twitter, you get a huge list of possible app that support shareaction api. however each of them still requires some secondary steps to actually share the content, eg gmail requires email address and to press the send to address.
I would be looking for 2 features:
- manage what is displayed when you share something on from and android app, eg limit the amount of apps to only those you find relevant, could be as simple as a checklist of apps you want to see in your share menu
- ability to create custom share item, eg an item that allows to directly mail to a certain email address. so that when you select the item from the share menu there is no need for a secondary action, the email is sent directly.
so if anyone knows of an app that does this or could develop such an app that would be great.
plz also let me know if you think is is an interesting idea or not. thx
Bram
Here is one I've found that is limited but the Dev. is actively developing it and is open to suggestions. I also like FolderSync for FTP and other methods.
I know these aren't what you're looking for but both are great apps.

Freela API existing app. I pay!

Hello i really like your app, but i need function that app take database from server via internet, because i will update database ones per day and i need that database updated without updating whole app. Is that possible?
This app does not use server API for loading data. POI are loaded from local SQLite database so you don’t need any server. We would like to create add-on for REST API .
I pay!

Let me choose which apps I can run on device

I am looking for possibility to run only:
- phone
- contact list
- chrome
- camera
- music player
on Android device. I want to check app first before I decide to give permission to run it. I want to run Phone app but I want to block SMS app and all other messaging apps.
How can I set it up ?
The purpose is to give the smartfone to the kid but with very limited options, so it's not using messaging and other chat apps , the only way of communication is just phone call but also I want her to have a Web Browser and phone Contact list, Camera and some Music apps so she can use it as a player anytime.
No distracting apps loaded with ads, no texting, no notifications.
Please help with the simplest solution for that.
Thank you
