Has anybody found a way to update Xperia Z to android 4.3,running 10.3.1.A.0.244 with locked bootloader,Many thanks in advance!!
With locked bootloader you can't update because there isn't an official android 4.3 that can run on stock kernel... you need a custom kernel and you can flash custom kernels only with unlocked bootloader

I would recon you to wait for a couple of weeks if you want the 4.3 update with the bootloader locked.
Keep a watch on the official sony update for 4.3

Not exactly. Timescape is one thing. Socialife is a totally new app. Same idea, very different approach.
Friends this will only works with jelly bean.... And if you are non-Xperia users you need edit more things in build.prop

You could try recompiling the apk and see change the target sdk and minimum sdk to 15 and see if it works

Here's the easiest and safest way( keeps your bootloader locked)- Downgrade to ICS ( by flashing android 4.04 on your xperia j), then just root with Unlockroot( it will take about 1 min) and after that just upgrade over the air to Jelly Bean( by turning on your WIFI and you'll see a notification that there's an update available- click that and wait for the update to finish). Boom- you've got yourself a rooted Xperia j on jelly bean.
Actually i am confused and lil scared (after see 2 of my friends xl screwed up after unlocking )............ so thought of makinga thread & see what others are doing.

At this time i found no reason why I should unlock. handmade mods also work with root and a ROM with better Gui is not in sight.

I am unlocked but on firmware .31 with deodexed .36 apps and few other mods.
PcCompanion showed me an available Update but didnt update after downloading.
*May* work if you use stock kernel for the update.

u need to relock ur bl[ta restore] inorder to update via pcc. or if u dnt want to relok , u can update using flashtool..

Hello. I'm new here, and I need your help. I have a Xperia J rooted, with stock ROM and locked bootloader. In the options it says that isn't allowed to unlock it. You could Use AVD Rom or try via fastboot, downgrade to stock ICS
After making the downgrade, will the bootloader be unlocked? Sorry about the question but I'm a litle new in android roms.
