What do you mean by not charging? The Tab doesn't get into Charging Mode? or it does but the battery isn't being charged even though the Tab says it is?... Give some more details so we can help you...
I can say that my Tab shows a little red X above the battery icon when it's ON and plugged into PC's USB port. It looks like it's not charging but if you just keep it plugged in, the battery percentaje indicator will slowly start increasing...
By the way, my Tab 2 is a GT-P3113.
Regards.

It shows the battery and on lock screen it does not say charging and he battery circle is not spining. Under setting it says unplugged. If its off it charges fine

Look at the attached pictures...
You can notice that on the first image "Screenshot_2013-09-15-11-13-33", my tablet was not plugged and battery was 81% charged.
Then after plugging it into the PC's usb port and leaving it charge for about 19 minutes, you can see that the battery has actually increased by 3%. Nevertheless, the it shows the red cross above the battery icon in the notification bar and the Batter Status still reads "Not charging".
So, end note: Perhaps you already tried this and you can confirm is not really working for you, but make sure first that leaving the tablet connected to the usb port is actually not charging it up.

I to am having a battery charging issue. My P3113 will not charge while powered on including in sleep mode, lock screen, etc... My tab isn't recognizing its pluged in. And yes, I use only the cord and wall charger I can with. It will charge if powered off, it is a very slow charge. I have tried several different ROMs with different android version and I always follow installation directions to a "T". Any suggestions?

It doesn't act like it's plugged in, it started I think a month ago.

Battery charging extremely slow?

Hey guys I just got my nexus s and im wondering why my battery is charging so slowly. I started charging it while it was completely dead and it took almost 6 hours too completely finish charging. Is there something wrong?
Btw I just got the phone yesterday and this is my second charge.

Are you using the factory wall charger or? Are you charging with a wall charger or USB hooked to computer/car? I honestly do not notice this problem with the NS.

I was using an iPod wall adapter right now because i forgot mine at home..
Also I know this is offtopic but can someone tell me how to optimize the battery life on this phone? Idle why but I feel like the battery isn't that great on this phone

Mine took like 3hour 20min-ish for the first charge. 3hour-ish for the second and third.

If you have the Super Amoled version, then you can use an all black desktop screen saver, switch your email/Facebook/weather syncs to a later time (2-6 hours instead of every 30 minutes), put the phone in 2g only mode when your not browsing the web or downloading apps, etc.

What the hell does this got to do with a 6 hour charge time ? As if the display is on all the time... or as if the syncing uses 10%+ off battery. It has nothing to do with this stuff, you're just not on the same page as the problem.
Try again with the original charger plugged into the wall socket, not into USB.

Why don't you read before you post tough guy? You sound real stupid. The OP asked an off topic question about how he can gain better battery life. "Hooked on Phonics" anyone?

Oh, I get it. Sorry, my bad.
I realised my Nexus S does take some time to charge up fully as compared to my Incredible S though.
Charger's rating is diff though after observing. 1A against 0.7mA

Mine takes about 3hr 20mins(+ or - 10 mins) usually. I guess that's pretty normal?

Infuse temperature issues?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a normail issue with all these phones or if I received a defective unit. If I use my infuse for no more than 5 minutes on the charger the battery gets really hot and is at 49° right now up from 30°ish. Same thing with using the HDMI addapter. Used it twice to watch Simpson's for an hour the phone was scalding hot at 57° after about an hour. I've had other android devices and none came as close to this. Is there a risk here? Anyone else have this problem?

I noticed that when its plugged in and use it at the same time it gets hot. Never really checked the temperature.
but when its unplugged not once has it gotten hot.

[Q] Quick dying battery/ Slow charge?

I'm rooted unlocked and romd and my battery dies so fast and I can't tell why. The whole day I've set CPU to power save and even in the settings power save is turned on. No apps are left running. It's been 7 hours and I'm on 53%? Is this normal or is my battery bad? I'm running the latest GalaxyMod rom.
Get GSAM battery monitor off the market and let it run. It will show you what's using your battery.

Maybe Try a different kernel. That has happened to me on certain kernels.

How many hours of screen on time is there for those seven hours.
I'd say any thing over one and a half hours of screen on time is pretty decent for 53% over seven hours
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
It was only 45 mins of screen time on very low brightness

Yeah. I reccomend downloading better battery stats to see what is killing it.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Okay so my screen takes up 28% as for apps System and Kernel take up 14% each then Kik at 11% and Xda at 9% the rest don't use that much. Any advice?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Are you charging with wall charger or car charger? Car chargers give a quick charge that eventually ruins batteries if used often. Also others have said to let it drain completely and use CWM to reset battery info. Then full charge and wipe battery info again. Once fully charged unplug replug charger in until it takes less than 10 seconds to show fully charged and reset battery info again. Doing that 2-3 times is said to help refresh battery. I did it once and saw a slight difference.
I'm just using a normal wall charger

S2 i727 won't sleep

Howdy,
I have a s2 running 4.2.2 slimmed down CM. I have a wake clock app running and it doesn't pick up anything odd. The CPU clock says it never slept though.
Thus is a new phone to me. Thanks for your input.

Use betterybatterystats to find out what the wake lock is.
Then read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31974989

May seem silly, but did you have it plugged in while receiving the wake lock?

Nope, its been unplugged all day since 6 eastern time. Now its down to 19% with little use. It has never entered deep sleep today

Then you definitely have some WakeLock issues. I'd follow JD's advice and run Better Battery Stats and refer to the WakeLock thread by Bender for how to resolve them.
Make sure your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are off if you're not using them.

It should sleep like a baby if you're set up right, even with wifi and bt on.
The problem was that the charging wake clock kept it awake the whole day. I'm not sure what the deal was but I restarted the phone and it went away. I'm also having charging issues so it could be hardware. I ordered a new charging port/daughter board for it and I'm going to put it in this week. I'll let you know how it turns out

Curious to see how it turns out. I get the vbus wake lock often too, even with the Samsung charger. I'm thinking my usb port is having issues.
Restart your phone after every charge. Yes, the media scanner will run briefly but it's better than your phone not sleeping for hours before you notice the wake lock.

Well I installed the other charging port daughter board and the mic stopped working. So I never got to test to see if the charging wake clock was a hardware problem. Sorry. On a side note I have a charging port daughter board for a i727 that is basically brand new and only installed once for sale

Charging stuff

Hi all. I have a S advance and it has a problem about charging.
My charger isnt original and while charging, my touch gets buggy. I read that some non original chargers give this bug, so i took my bro's charger (original). For my sadness the fckng phone didnt charged, so I took my cousin's(also origina), didnt charged also. Now my only option is charge it without using it
My batery is new
What can i do?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
so will the phone only charge with the nonoriginal charger, or not at all?
