Is there only an update for Australia or also for European countries?

Cheers. Grabbing it from Samfirmware in case I ever need it

I can report that the first time I opened the camera a message toast popped up saying updating camera firmware
So far so good, my s4 is snappy snappy snappy. Keyboard was laggy but no more
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

Any other things you can tell that updated besides the camera?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337

Other than performance improvements there is only seams some minor settings entries changes. Oh the about devices has different color icon
Camera app is the same.
I guess as this update is only a maintenance update it stands to reason that theres no major gui changes, it's all under the hood, like a grease and oil change.
I'd say performance is really good now, I have not noticed any lag so far.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

Only really a performance improvement update it seems, plus the ability to use the SD card for pics and (some) apps now. Telstra still haven't got their act together and released their update, so I'm on the XSA unbranded version now, no more carrier crap.
Sammobile.com is a good place to look for recent firmwares. You can also check your specific model and region to see waht the most recent firmware is.

Okay new things I've found.
1. In "my device" settings, new drive mode settings (previously hidden). However when drive mode is enabled no more icon in notifications bar.
2. Applications manager, new listing for apps on sdcard.
That's all for now.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

Listing some noticeable performance improvements here.
1. Message app opens nice and quick now (2000 msgs)used to lag and slow to open.
2. Contacts list scrolls really smooth, I've only go 71 contacts (however I've got my contacts saved in 2 accounts Google & device so there's actually 142), but used to have scroll lag.
3. Keyboard lag is now gone, using back space used to lag bad so first time I used it to delete text got a surprise. Typing is good too when you press a letter it gets put on the screen.
4. Pressing home key is quick and responsive now (S-voice is completely disabled).

I think it is number of changes Samsung have applied. They don't release any changelist, just number.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2

Is there such a page for US Cellular?

higher changelist number means newer firmware revision. That´s all what we get from Samsung...

This is without a doubt the best stock rom i tried to date ! it offers great performance just absolutely no noticeable lagg and it provides a good battery life , best Rom to date Imo !

Its not a fake app. The one on the play store is fake.
Firstly check your internet connection that it is working properly. Secondly when you enter the app , it automatically takes you to bb website, press back key and you will get back in the app. If it again takes you to the website , press back and you will see a cross mark on the top right side, click it and you wont go back to the website.
I have been using it from the last night and have made 10 friends and joined 2 groups.
I personally feel its UI is much better than whatspp.
Check out the screenies.

this unreleased version has already been disabled by Blackberry... so it won't work anymore..
this is also the reason why the official app's release will be delayed.... more info here..

Google have blocked access to it in 4.4 so the built-in app is no longer available.
Coming from CM10.2 I was hoping to at least be able to use this with my N5, but alas it's not so .

I believe they blocked the APIs used by the permissions editor which is why it crashes - but I'm struggling to find the reference I read that had this info.......
afaik they removed it completely. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47098228&postcount=2
One of the best features ever introduced to android and they remove it. Might even downgrade my N7 because of this.

I downgraded my N4 back to 4.3. Disabling app ops is terrible. Even apple has this feature: iOS alerts you if any app wants to access your contacts, or your photos, or your camera, and you have a choice to allow or not. Android 4.3 does not alert you, but at least you have the option to dig into the App Ops and revoke access to certain things. 4.4 is the first time an android upgrade dissapointed me (they destroyed the alarm app, the keyboard, the wifi indicator's activity/internet access, and App Ops).
App ops was never an official feature, so they technically didn't remove anything.

I'm with you on the users defending Google like the can do no wrong, but definitely disagree about the YouTube g+ integration... They needed to clean YouTube up, and now I can see friend's comments on videos more easily and only view the comments and responses of certain people... That was a good idea..
I think Google is completely wrong by blocking this app ops function, if that's what happened here...

Try ART

First thing I did after signing in was switch to ART. If your going to do the same, I'd recommend you do it before downloading your apps. It has to optimize all apps on the device and I did it without downloading a single app. 324 apps. Took a while.

Not stupid at all bud. Unlock developer settings by going to "about phone" in settings, double tap "build number" 7 times until you see the toast msg that says "you are now a developer". Back out, go to the newly available " developer settings " and 3rd (4th if you count the first non selectable line) option which says "select runtime system" and change it to "ART". It will say Dalvik until you've changed it to ART. Choosing it will reboot your device and take a few minutes while sets up your apps for ART. It is possible that if could be incompatible with some apps but since it first released with 4.4, I haven't heard of this.
Sent from my SM-G900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think this sped up the start up time of the camera, which is still kinda slow. I just hope I don't have issues with some apps as I've heard of others that had to completely reset their phone to stop some apps from crashing even after returning to Dalvik and reinstalling the app...

Yeah, not too bad. It looks as if they started to redesign it but only got as far as settings and quick settings lol. With Nova and Flatro icons, it looks as though it's how it was supposed to be done. One of things that was always first on my list after rooting or flashing was changing the appearance of the status bar/quick settings. I like them now so with Nova, I really like the appearance. IMO.

I don't wanna open a thread for this so I'll try it here, I can't remember the "official" name, but "quick glance"? Something like that. When device is asleep, you wave over it and it displays the time and notifications. The one " motion gesture " I use and I can't find it. Hope they didn't ax it.
Anyone know how to enable it? Can't find it in the gestures section... Nor can I find lock screen widgets.
Sent from my SM-G900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I know people are all excited to try anything different, but ART on this device just isn't a good experience (at least on a stock device). I really wouldn't recommend switching, as you are unlikely to be pleased.

[app] [new]google play store 4.9.13

A new version of Google Play began to rollout this afternoon as build 4.9.13. The update doesn’t initially look like that big of a deal upon first launch, but once you jump into an individual app, book, album, or movie listing, you will immediately know that this is pretty major. The individual listings all appear to be designed with Material Design in mind. There are beautiful sliding animations, big imagery, and an overall cleaner layout.

Rotating Bezel Question

New to the Gear S2 after coming from the original Gear S. Everything about the S2 seems pretty straight forward except for the rotating bezel wherein I'm actually confused at it's purpose.
I understand that I can use the bezel to browse through screens, apps, etc.. but what I'm confused at is how to run/launch the app that I selected via the bezel?
According to the manual, the 2 buttons on the side of the watch act as the back/home button only.
It seems that I'm missing something here.
TIA.

Currently, the bezel is just used to navigate and not for selecting any apps. The newest firmware update is supposed to enable a function whereby when you stop at an app with the bezel, the app will launch automatically after a short pause.
I don't know when that update will be coming to the US.
Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk
After rotating the bezel to your desired app, touch the center of the screen and the app will run.
Yes the latest firmware actually launches the app when you stop rotating the bezel. I don't have that option activated since I find that an app is opended too quickly once stopped on it, which can lead to opening the wrong app.
