DO NOT ASK FOR SUPPORT IF YOU FLASH A DIFFERENT KERNEL!
The kernel packaged with CM10.2 is very tightly coupled with the ROM code. If you install a kernel different from the one in this ROM, please do not ask for any support.
Experience issues? Please provide the following info:
If the device was hard reboot, please provide the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
If the device was soft reboot or is "bootlooping", please run a logcat and provide the full output.
Please use Pastebin when possible.

NOTE! You MUST wipe /cache, /data, and /system!! Also, make sure you install a 4.3-compatible gapps package. See our blog for more information.
NOTE! You MUST use a CM10.2 (JB4.3) compatible recovery when flashing this ROM. Using a CM10.1 based recovery will not work properly.

Thanks! Camera with alpha3 still force closes gallery and the Cyanogen Focus displayed image is inverted/twisted.
The screen when awakened via power button flashes brightly for a moment -- almost as if a screen shot had been taken.
10.2 alpha 3 was installed with a full wipe of data/system/dalvik/cache. The new CWM is in use and the i727 radio was flashed.

OK BT seems better don't know if you did anything for that or not haven't noticed the bright screen but did notice sometimes trying to wake the phone it doesn't wake the phone that capacitive buttons light up and you have to wait for them to go off before you hit the button again which does wake the phone up other than the camera I'll pull a log after work and see if it has anything for you to look at it does seem smoother thanks

Nope. We will probably make one or two more before we are comfortable starting up nightlies. At this point the camera is our main focus, then I think we'll be close to nightlies.
Beyond that, there's an assortment of other things we still have to do.

Negative, we do not recommend or support adjusting your LCD density with CyanogenMod - weird things happen.

Thanks Ken - we're going to get back on CM development this week. We basically took a mini vacation as a team the past week (or more). Expect some changes to start coming in by the end of the week to address a bunch of things that have been reported across the devices we support.

This is an AOSP-based build with extra contributions from many people which you can use without any type of Google applications. I found a link from some other project that can be used to restore the Google parts, which can be found below or elsewhere in the thread. I've still included the various hardware-specific code, which seems to be slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I mean I'm just using it for the night. Gonna play with it. It runs really well though. I was glad when I found out the internal SD card was working. By the way the graphical glitches do appear when you first start using the phone. But now it's not appearing as much. Also some rare touch unresponsive moments as well.
P.s. if they say it shouldn't be a daily driver I'm sure it shouldn't. Just try it and see for yourself.

So, we've been rather quiet on the CM11 front - but don't assume we aren't working on lots of fixes across the board. At this point, I'll probably get one more Alpha build out the door before the CM team gets the nightly build server all setup. Mostly everything is working perfectly well right now, the only major item outstanding is video on the camera isn't working.

GUMMY
Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
If you use ART, do not expect support as this is an experimental feature.. If people continue to fill the threads with issues pertaining to ART we will remove it from the ROM. If you feel you need to as a question from a fellow form member, about an issue you are having with the rom and ART is enabled, please start the thread with 'I am using ART and:"
Features:
* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods

Up and running. Only thing i've noticed is that the navbar buttons disappear when camera is up so theres nothing there but a black bar. Pushing where the home button should be works and takes you back to the home screen. This may be by design though. I usually use expanded desktop with pie.
Flashed with PhilZ recovery. Nice ROM. Have the echo bug though. dr87 has the fix for that. Thanks for the ROM.

Flashed in TWRP just 3 hours ago.
My assessment is as follows -
1. No SOD, reboots, or hiccups thus far.
2. Echo bug is present, but is tolerable if you turn the volume down.
3. Just as snappy as stock Kit-Kat
4. Most Gummy features work fine.
5. Best auto-brightness of any Kit-Kat rom currently.
6. Battery life appears great as well
7. Network seems to switch frequently between 3g and HSPA+, but there doesn't seem to be any impact on actual functionality.
All in all - a solid release by the Gummy team. Yet again. I used to use Gummy back in the days of the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 4, it's nice to see that it is still just as high of quality with responsive developers.
Thank you Gummy Rom Team!
This is now my daily driver.

I'm just wondering why with the newer roms being put out, why isn't the echo bug fixed? Is the fix not being shared? Or is the fix not cross compatible?

You are assuming this dev speaks to authors of other ROMs on different threads? I would recommend you handle the communication. I know most devs are overwhelmed already with what they know about already. I have found that doing the leg work yourself helps.

These are some (sporatic) unofficial CM12.1 builds that I am sharing with the community. Please limit bug reports to ROM bugz only and support it with a logcat if you can. Im not really interested in Play Store apps force closing at this point.
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Anyone having issue with the power button every once in awhile not waking up the device? Thank you Timmytim for your time, work and effort. Means a lot to everyone.

This is new under settings, about phone. One thing I think that's supposed to be in these Roms is the processor info. I've seen it on other phones

Thank you! Means a lot to hear that. I haven't seen that issue personally but to be honest I jumped ship on the ROM this morning but Ill be going back to it to debug soon.
The ROM was running great all morning but then I had two no wake occurrences in about a 2 hour span where battery pulls were needed. I guess this issue is common on all variations of the G3 though.
Still very promising though. The ROM is super smooth and battery life was tracking good.

Are you able to gather logs for this? If so, please share and I can look at them to see what's going on. Try grabbing a last_kmsg after the battery pull if you can.

Haven't seen that. I remember in cm12 after a call the lock screen would freeze up a bit but you have to tap and press with three fingers to unlock. Other than what I said earlier I haven't seen anything else.

Something different I noticed in the dialer and then recent calls. When you tap on a number you recently called it now says redial instead of call back. Small change lol

Updated the ROM to 5.1.1. Some fixes. Should resolve sleep death issue. Maybe some other things too. Let me know

Since cyanogen wants us to dirty flash 12.1 over 12 does this apply for this unofficial build of we are currently running 12?

This is running excellent clean flash. Thank you timmytim!!!!!

I would probably do a clean flash. From my understanding there is a lot of changes under the hood with the art runtime and all. from 12 to 12.1.
Anyone else think that stock Roms are way brighter than AOSP? Any idea how to change that?/#
