I have this problem for two days now, the battery stats gone completely crazy and has lost total reference of the actual level.
The 100% level is something like actual 50%(based on voltage levels) and it stays at 1% for the most of the battery life.
The phone does not turn off until the battery is completely depleted and when charging it still goes charging after reaching 100%(I can see this by the voltage indication).
Since the battery is 3.8V, full charge is about 4250 mV and empty is something about 3400 mV, but still my indicator is wrong and I don't know why.
Wiping battery stats didn't work and I don't know how to fix this. Does anybody has some clue?
I'm considering writing my own battery level indicator that uses voltage levels(based on discharge profile and temperature).
Here are some images of my problem.

Do you regularly let the phone die/turn itself off before putting it on the charger? That can sometimes help reset these lithium ion batteries.
nomittai pleased
Sad Panda I had to do that a couple of times.
I've also encountered a problem when fully charging the battery, since the full charge was wrong the battery would not get over 3,8V.
In order to solve that you need to wipe the battery stats when it says is 100% and it's important to leave the charger on(voltage levels are higher this ways and is the key for solving the problem).
After that unplug the charger and reboot the phone the battery will be on lower level on the indicator, repeat this until you get 4235 mV without the charger or 4350 mV with it.
When real full charge is achieved it takes 2 full charge/discharge cycles to reset the battery to normal. Here is important to make shure the battery is 100% and don't charge until it turn off.

Hi guys, I've flashed the 4.2.1 ROM by albinoman887 and only when the screen is on the lowest brightness it uses a lot of battery, really quickly.
Thread can be found here
When it's on standby the battery lasts for about 7 hours, but when it's on it lasts for around 45 minutes. Please help
I've tried
- Wiping battery stats
- Calibrating battery.

Your horrible cell signal is at least part of the problem. Your phone is constantly pinging the towers looking for a better connection. That's a serious battery hog.
You may have the wrong radio for your carrier. Or you may live in a dead zone for your carrier.
Also, is this your first battery cycle after a full wipe? I get results like that for the first discharge cycle after install. But then it becomes fantastic. Drain the battery all the way until the phone shuts off. Then charge it using a USB cord on your computer (not the standard power charger) for an hour past when it says 'full'. The slower USB charge can help to give it accurate voltage readings while charging so it doesn't stop charging too early. See if that helps.
The battery on Albino's 4.2.1 is pretty spectacular for most people, so the good news is that this is probably a fixable issue on your end.
The signal was when I'm out and about, most of the time I have 3-4 bars on HSDPA, I may do a full 24 hour charge or get a new battery
I have this problem too.But if i flash last build, baterry life is good.
Charge Cycle Counter is a free App, that helps you to measure how often you charge your phone.
The phone has to be on when the power cable is connected and when the power cable is disconnected.
But during the charging process you can turn off your phone.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.cerebrum.ChargeCycleCounter
Google Play Store
Features:
- Total number of charge cycles
- Daily statistics
- Weekly statistics
- Average per weekday
- Battery infos (capacity, temperature, health, voltage, technology, level)
- Estimated charging cost per year
Supported languages:
- English
- German
- Greek
FAQ:
- Why has the phone to be running when I connect/disconnect the power cable?
The android OS wakes the App up if a power supplier is connected. Thanks to that the App consumes nearly no battery but the phone has to be turned on.
- What is a charge cycle?
A charge cycle is a full charge and discharge process. If you charge your phone from 50 % up to 100 % it is equal to a half charge cycle.
- What happens if my phone has reached 750 charge cycles?
Nothing. Many batteries bear about 750 charge cycles before they are defect. A battery is defect if it has less than 80 % of the original capacity.
- What is the meaning of the speedometer?
The speedometer tells you how many percent you have charged today. 100 % is one charge cycle. If the needle is in the green section your battery has an estimated lifetime of 2.5 up to 3 years.

It can be wifi issue
It can be battery issue
It can be background apps issue
It can be anythng else too
Try deleting batterystats.bin from root
And let ur device power down by using it
Then charge it to 100% in swchd off mode
Try it
Install Wakelock detector and leave your phone for a night. This app will show you what phone processes are most active during the night.
Guys, my phone it's shutting Down at 20-25%, I'm using Rr 8.1.0 buts is not that random reboot problem
It's just 20% and shutdown, and when I plug the charger just show the percentage it was when turned off. What this could be?

i'm afraid to buy new battery and the problem is on the motherboard and not on the battery. i had a S4 with the same problem and i change the battery but the problem persist.
Well looks like is a "common" problem with Oreo. Also mine and gives some bad percentage readings. If I charge to 100%, then reboot to recovery, the battery percents changes to 94 - 96%, reboot to system and this numbers persist.
If I let the phone all day and at night I reboot to recovery again, I lose like 20% of battery, example: Android says that my battery is at 60% but in recovery says 40% and when the system start the battery reduce to 40%.
Also have some random "turn off" and then, when I power on I lose around 5 - 10% of battery.
And in resume, the using time of battery life is 1 hour max.
This doesn't happen in Nougat.

I have Xiaomi 12s ultra, i was extremely happy with battery life.
One evening camera was recording while charging by mistake, when i wanted to check, it was 35>56 in 40 minutes, and phone battery charging was very slow because it was unbelievable hot. Did i just killed my battery?
I think battery is draining very fast after this. Can you share usage stats?
Is there any way to undo this, like draining battery to 0 and charging to 100?
Before this day i was using 20-80 charging method to save my battery. All efforts are gone i guess.

Yes, phone batteries don't like charging and draining at the same time. However, it could just as easily have burnt out or permanently deteriorate the quality of some electronic component.

Yeah i know. I hope camera sensor did not get any damage.
Yesterday i get about 5-6 hour screen on time, 14 hours without plugging with wireless internet only, %45 left. How much did my battery lost of its capacity with that incident? I guess my battery was better. Thanks for the chip in 12SU it didn't go on charging. It could have exploded.
