could we either:
- get a stingray dump from ICS and apply the bsdiff patches to the files?
- can the stingray rom be deployed on an everest without damaging it? backup current, deploy stingray, let it patch x times over, backup - revert

I pulled this from Sprint Lovers | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 to work on the new Gingerbread OTA (4.22.651.2).
This is only for DEODEXED ROMS
EDIT:
I just put up two new zips for the new 4.24.651.1 Gingerbread update
(for 4.22.651.2 use the ones that don't say 4.24.651.1)
(The undo will restore your framework-res.apk to stock condition)

Can you make these on Synergy Rom?
Is the undo zip reapplying the stock setup, or is there really some kind of undo. Reason I ask is that I see some other mods that don't give an undo and I am wondering if I apply one of them for the battery icon, if I can then apply your undo script to get back to stock.

It only restores the unmodified file, but is not for every rom - only the "stock" roms. You should always do a full backup before you apply any update, just in case it doesn't work...

No problems with haptic feedback, all working fine.
Flash via rsd lite ...but before that do complete factory wipe / erase data /cache etc etc
Here is the nandroid and fixed sbf :: http://www.multiupload.com/YZTSVZ2OJ3
first restore the nandroid via Custom Recovery and flash the fixed sbf.. as usual procedures

Good job, thanks so much.
I was sick I let it through my fingers when I updated!
Thank you, I have been waiting for this ;0)
the file in the archive is dated 14.04.2011... it's genuine GB SBF?
anyway, thanks!
Downloaded this file by MSU
it's genuine GB SBF
Hi,
I have run Recuva over my file system. I could not recover the sbf, but the file name, modified time and size were found.
They match perfectly the file I downloaded from mpieq.
Cheers, as far as I'm concerned that is the real thing.
Olly
Works great! Thanks very much.
Now then... who is going to produce a theme so it looks like leaked / 2.3.3 that wouldnt work with the unfortunate green camera devices?
Andy
Was on early 2.2.1 - wanted to upgrade in case of warranty issues.
Flashed with RSD Lite. New Red Motorola logo with white rings when phone starts, but had to pull battery and re-boot manually.
Phone is upgraded with all contacts, settings etc as before.
Just had to root phone with superoneclick to get Titanium back-up and SetVSL running.
30 mins start to finish. Many thanks

You're luck. After upgrade mine boot up but with all settings and apps restored, however it after rooting it wasn't stable. Got to do factory reset and... for a first time used TiBu to restore my apps - works flawlessly . The only issue was the lack of Polish Swype (got it with Eclair) but used the one from CEE ROM and it works flawlessly.
mine simply has lost his Haptic Feedback... it must be restarted to gain his capabilities restored. is losing also his WiFi (with error message in wifi and network settings) and the data connection...
any ideas? could be from the JuiceDefender wrong resources management?
I am on motorola defy with formware version 2.51.1. If I upgrade to this will I lose my root, if I lose root can this be rooted by SuperOneClick.
Does it have blur is without Blur, I ma looking for something without Blur.
With Blur or without Blur?

This ROM is blurred. I flashed it over 2.2.1 (the UK 3.4.3-11 ROM), which I had previously successfully rooted via SOC (in fact, an older version, from months ago), but, as, at first, for strict test purposes, I decided not to wipe anything at all after flashing this ROM, the root condition (just like all my applications and settings) was kept as it was before. My Defy is in this very state ever since.
By the way, I haven't noticed differences between the two ROMs.
Just my 2 cents...
Regards,
Carlos
i have installed the full sbf
no problems with haptic feedback.
all looks fine and smooth..blur is also working nice ..even you can skip the setup.
just the 3g gets stucks up when the phone is idle..(the "H" is shown but the arrows ↑↓ are greyed out ..i have to reconfigure the apn and set it again to get it working.
Guys ne thoughts on this 3g problem..?? i have used defy baseband to switch my baseband for india.
EDIT :: solved the problems....i think this is problem free blur rom so far ...!! kudos to motorola uk..!!
note :: i didnt download from any links given here..i had some other source.
Their is some problem with the link? I have tried to download 3 times, but corrupt file...
If I wanted to go from the Korean 177 base sbf with cm7 rc1 installed to this what would be the procedure? Is it as simple as doing it through rsdlite or through the 2nd init recovery?
Thanks

Hi, I'm new to flashing ROM's and wanted to give this a try, but I had a few questions (I searched and read the wiki, but I didn't see these specific questions):
I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket on ATT. I'm rooted on Stock GB 2.3.6
1. I wanted to try flashing this ROM([ROM][CyanogenMod 9 (unofficial)][TeamChopsticks][Alpha 1 - 4/26]), Can I come from gingerbread if I follow the instructions in post 1? Or do I need to have an ICS leak installed first?
2. I assume I can revert back to my rooted-stock ROM by using CWM with my current restore point?
3. If I restore the backup from step-2, does it restore the original radio (the UCLA3 radio)? Or am I stuck with the new one? Any disadvantes to just leaving the new one installed?
4. When flashing the new radio, is it just like flashing a ROM in CWM?
5. How would I get all my apps back on the custom ROM? (I know the contacts are linked to the google cloud) I have titanium backup pro installed now, but I read something about not restoring the apps across different ROMs?
6. If I decide to go back to my stock ROM after looking at a few custom ROMs, would I be able to get the ATT OTA updates? (I know I'd need to un-root and un-freeze all the bloatware, but I assume installing the custom ROM's would trigger the flash counter?)
7. I keep hearing about the "yellow triangle" when the flash counter is triggered. Does it only happen at boot and go away after that? Or is it always there?
Thanks in advance!

1) if you're a newb I wouldn't recommend flashing alpha versions of anything
2)You can revert back
3)No, flash a ginger radio before restoring
4)Yes, wipe cache/dalvik cache
5)You can restore apps accross the same OS, but I never do
6)Yes, if you're on official software. It wont trigger unless you flash with odin or sometimes a custom kernel like cm will trigger it. No big deal, we have a counter reset.
7)only at boot, we have counter reset, so no worries
Wow, that was a quick reply! Thanks.
Sorry if I'm dense, I just wanted to clarify two things before proceeding.
Re 1: I also saw another ROM I wanted to try, I guess I'll do that one ([ROM]SKY ICS--- 4.2D-9). Thanks for the heads up.
Re 3: From your response, am I correct to understand I can't use an ICS radio with GB? (it just wont work? or there's no advantage to keeping it?)
Re 5: Same OS meaning inside GB based ROMs or ICS based ROMs? If I go from stock GB to custom ICS, I need to re-download each app individually?

1) very good choice, I run it and it is outstanding.
3)they will have a RIL mismatch. You can use them by deleting the system folder out of it, but I would just use the la3 radio and flash that before the rom. After a full wipe, of course.
5)Right, it ensures everything will be clean and run right.
Hi all,
this is my situation:
I have an LG P509 (T-Mobile US Optimus T) with this actual configuration:
- baseband: LGP500AT-00-V20g-OPEN-COM-JUN-14-2011+0
- ROM: CM 9.0.0-HEPHAPPY-p500-UNOFFICIAL
Now, I need to unlock my phone and I understand that I have to get back to stock rom to do that.
Given my baseband (which I understand from other forum posts is not the stock T-Mobile new baseband):
- do I need the original T-Mobile stock baseband? If it is the case where can I find it? (I was not able to find this info anywhere)
- which stock rom do I have to flash? (I know there is a thread with some stock ROMs, but not the T-Mobile GB 2.3)
Thank you so much for any reply!
~Simone
Any stock ROM will do. There are also flashable .zip files, apparently. Baseband doesn't matter, you just won't be able to make calls. You'll only be using the ROM for < 1 minute anyway, then you can restore your nandroid backup. You do have a backup, right??
Hi post-mortem,
thanks for the reply. I haven't thought that I really don't need to make calls while unlocking...
And yes, I have a backup of my current configuration (not of the original rom however, I was a really stupid newby...)
So I guess the ROM available here will do the work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30013107&postcount=3
Thanks again

Dear fellow xdas,
I'm considering downgrading my Singaporean JB ROM to my local ICS version. I was wondering whether anyone has any experience with this and how it worked out for you ?
I did try once downgrading without factory resetting/cleaning the memory, which resulted in the tab freezing the first boot. I then reupgraded to JB and it worked completely fine.

hi you dont need to afraid, i did that. jb to ics or honeycomb, and im running honeycomb right now after multi window mod JB,
just use odin and change your rom and the important part is you must wipe data/factory reset, this is very important,
now you can enjoy
