no it is no port it is compiled from source
the modification for compiling this rom successfully are from xistance
so all features (working list) are the same like xistance alpha 5

Downloading. Should flash it. I tried the last 4.2.2. That was good too.
Am I slightly unhappy(!) with 4.3 roms? No. Not at all. The devs are doing fantastic works. Sometimes they are going beyond our expectations, and we don't know what extend they are sacrificing for this. Why? Only to make us happy. Actually devs love us. So do we. Anything from them is a gift for us. Any new rom/update is a means to joy & happiness for us.

this is an amazing rom.. different from all other roms. but one thing is making me dissatisfied that there is no navigation bar in this rom. can you please make a small update of it.? rather then this, the rom is amazing cool.. experiencing the whole different 4.3.

First report from my side
Hi folx,
i have installed carbon rom and tried different things. The flashing works as it should - but during setting up the ROM i encountered a few stumbling blocks.
After installing calendar (why is it missing ?) i tried to put cLock Widget with calendar and weather feature , but cLock refused to show my calendar (maybe due to the missing app) and i have to wipe again + synchronise again and after a scond reboot it works as it should.
Running Walkman app i get strange stumbling sounds - after that i deleted dsp-manager and the special sony equalizer and after all that it works.
@ the moment i'm missing a lot of former features : Recent RAMbar; pie; vibrator strength is not working within Device tunalbe;
Performance Control is integrated in a clean manner and the overall fluidity is good, but compared to my experiences with the other KK ROMs (ADC-Team / M.O.W. ROM / Mokee) i would say it's a little slower. I have read a long time about the development in the carbon group on google+ . And there were a lot of problems mentioned during the last time - meanwhile it seems as if they have managed a turnaround and the basis was built . So the next developments from this team will also be very interesting.

OK, sorry for that, some complications occurred which caused the Camera app to FC.
Please push the attached Camera2.apk to /system/app/ (replacing the old one and giving proper permissions) as a workaround for this issue...

chmod 644 /system/app/Camera2.apk

You can flash the devcon gapps, the gapps by zorkan.....

yes u can use the devcon gapps with this version and also the zordan gapps. but i think zordan gapps have faced some strange issues. i would recommend using the devcon gapps package.

No issue my side with zordan one.

Hello Eric, I have installed your CarbonRom 4.4.2
It' very fine to work with :thumbup:
I installed your new camera and it worked.
But I have one serious issue.
When I take a link in tapatalk , the return doesn't go back to the beginning level, but one level higher. In SlimBean 4.3.1 it works.
Similar I had also errors with return back with chrome, sometimes it return one level higher, sometimes return level was forgotten.
Is that depending from carbon 4.4.2 (or cm11) or tapatalk ?
Is that an error in return-addresses from carbon/cm11 or tapatalk ?

Here are some minor issues I found:
1. When you remove the search bar from screen and then you want to remove widget or icon the "remove area" is not shown.
2. In the first 1-2 hours when I flashed it when long pressed Tiles from the status bar the phone didn't freeze. Now it's freezing on long press as CM 11.
Otherwise, I confirm that this is great ROM with more functions. Fast and stable!

1. It's the Launcher3 issue I think. You can use a custom launchers like Nova, Apex.
2. I don't have that problem. Can you logcat when it happens?

you can use any gapps , i prefer pa ones ... until i make one :silly:

tel me the features of this rom ??? bro does it have halo .....floating window ........etc

well sukhwinder not at the moment but surely in the future releases

this ROM will rock on XDA if cm11 theme engine gets ported.there is no omni based ROM that support cm theme engine.please dev if possible add theme engine support.thanks a lot for bringing us a new aosp ROM

I read on same roms nexus 5 thread about work going on for the same and I quote " 5/8 commits are done hoping it finish in next release"
Not sure if apply for our community as well.
But still thanks again for your hard work

you're welcome , till now our most user base comes from note 2

next uptade will have auto immersive mode. double tab to sleep feature on the spot user preference, quick swipe on the spot user preference, Theme engine. lock screen tweaks.and some things here and there

great rom .........awesome ..........smooth ........testing is going on ..

whats in plan is like far more better than that
we would have take Aosp for that instance but currently it's high time we take that Aosp source
but we are not making a hybrid ROM which gives as much complications as we don't expect.
the point is adding features that are written from ground level
what's in plan is
- desktop like notification that appears like hover but comes from the bottom of the screen
- On the spot preferences everywhere
- multi window with side bar
-Gnome recents . if u install ubunut Gnome and install a plugin of multi tasking u will know
-some things that really matter to the world as they see in manufacturer devices
don't ask me the estimated time of arrivals for this
they will come and u will certainly see commits for this features
we will certainly fulfill every request that matters for into user mind and are original
