Floating Notifications Extensions - Miscellaneous Android Development

What are extensions?
Extensions for FN are much like extensions for DashClock. Anyone can write one which will allow them to add, remove and manipulate there own Floating Notification. The benefits being the dev can carry out any action based on button presses and for the user extensions don't rely on the accessibility service.
Write an extension
For any devs interested the extension library can be found here, and the extension community can be found here.
Extension's currently on the Play Store
SMS & Missed Calls Extension
PowerAmp Extension
Clock Extension
Music Extension
Sliding Messaging Extension

Cool new addition to an already Powerful app.

This is awesome man. I'll continue to support all your apps. Any chance in seeing a PA halo like bubble launcher?

Both tell parsing error for me. I'm using xperia x8. Can you fix it?

@crazyfool_1 Can you please add a toggle in the sms extension settings to keep the notifications up until manually closed?
Also is there any way to make a feature where the sms's in the sms extension appears as a separate notification bubble than your normal notifications?

A number of extensions are now officially on the Play Store. Links in the OP.

Looks like a Web page in an apk wrapper. If you want it to seem native you should disable the left/right scroll and zoom. Should also make the purchase/download whatever happens when you tap a ring tone not leave the app. These two things will help a lot in improving the app and making it useful

that icon is pretty ugly
Awesome app! My two suggestions would be to use a Facebook icon or just an "F" icon, and to have the ability to not show the notification of there are no new notifications (count = 0). Keep up the good work! Thanks

Am I allowed to use a Facebook logo? I thought that would be against the FB TOS or violating of their trademark?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.secretsockssoftware.dashclock.facebook
looks better, but it doesn't clear the number on the notification

how about a simple " f " ?
like anydash, but i think you have to design it yourself tho
just get the idea from there i guess?
Any chance of getting Facebook Messenger support? On my phone I use Messenger more than the actual Facebook app.
I rather like this notification setup. I like the new version. Great job with this.
Only wish it could go straight to the notification I'm clicking (if it's a single notification) rather than just to the Facebook App.
But no real complaints. It's great!

[APP][4.2] AnyDash - Show notifications from any app in your DashClock Widget

AnyDash is a small extension for DashClock Widget. It allows you to select any app on your phone and it'll grab notifications from that app (the same notifications you see in your status bar) and display them in your DashClock Widget.
Google Play Store Link
Donate/Pro Link - Allows up to 3 AnyDash widgets in one go - Will not work properly if AnyDash free is also installed
Note: Some apps notifications aren't picked up, if you find any which don't show notifications in AnyDash let me know and I'll see what I can do
Oh and if anyone wants to have a go at a better icon feel free.. mine's a bit pants I know.. Enjoy!!
For anyone who has a particular app that doesn't work can you do the following:
1 - Setup the app you want in AnyDash as usual
2 - Trigger a notification so, for example, send an email to yourself and wait for it to appear in your status bar
3 - Get the logcat (filter for 'robj.any.dash' or robj.any.dashpro' depending on which one your using) - you can use CatLog from the Play Store to do this and pm it to me
Once I get that I can add support no problem
hi there! thanks for this extension..
i tried to use this with 8tracks, however, it force closes everywhere. FC is solved as soon as the connection is removed..
New version is up..
- Added the option to change the icon
- Tidied up the UI
- Some minor bug fixes
As to the 8tracks bug I couldn't reproduce it could you try on the latest update and see if you still get it.. also which ROM are you on?
This sounds like an epic win. WhatsApp is also included?

Is it possible to add multiple extensions of anydash for more than one custom app? It would also be nice if we were able to select an icon from an icon pack we already have installed. Thanks for all your hard work.
Are you planning on adding more icons? Or do you need help.
I'd love a WhatsApp icon.

I can add a Whatsapp icon for the next release, due to the way you add the icon atm there's no way to allow custom ones (I have tried) but I emailed Roman and he said this will most likely be possible in a future version of DashClock Widget.
And as far as multiple extensions for multiple apps I've tried but it looks like it supports 1 extension per app at a time so AnyDash can only show one thing, I'll continue to look into this though
Had a quick try at an icon, but didn't really end up with anything I liked. I've uploaded it anyway in case you want to use it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7752006/1/anydash-icon-v2.png

If you like that icon you can use it. Let me know if you have any other ideas, maybe sometime I can try and work something out for you.
I do and I appreciate the effort but I was thinking of something more simple.. like shapes but using the holo colors maybe?
Anyone been able to get this working with Google Now?
I'm doing an update shortly.. if there's an app not working people want working let me know so I can add it in.. and if any Google Voice users want to help me get it working let me know as I'm in UK so can't even test it
So far I've got Talk and I'm working on Google Messenger, Plus, Now (how can you trigger notifications in now?)

Looking for an app: Floating dialer widget w/contacts AND DTMF (touchtone) support

i am looking for a floating dialer widget w/contacts AND DTMF (touchtone) support.
the only thing that is close to what i am looking for is Floating apps. but it doesn't support touchtone, and annoyingly, it's not a standalone app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lwi.android.flappsfull
i've also tried using Floating banners to create a widget with a dialer widget, but sizing of the widget gets really strange and unusable, and none i tried suppots touchtone.
what i want to be able to pull off is, if i am looking at a meeting with a call bridge, while i am in the calendar app;
1. open up the floating dialer;
2. open up and call the bridge number from contacts; (in my invites that i get, only an internal IP phone numbers are specified, so short of me memorizing the number, i'd need the floating app to pull up the contacts list. alternatively, it could support speed dial from the widget)
3. punch in the bridge code in the floating app, so i can still see the numbers in the calendar app in the background.
does a such app exist?
or is there a calendar/appointment app that can handle something like this?

There is a small app for Xperia phones called 'small phone' which is just a floating dialer. Not sure if there is a small apps port for your device, but if there is, you may want to check it out

that looks a lot like Tiny apps.

does the Xperia 'small phone' support DTMF?
You might want to try a combination of popup widget and simple dialer widget. Popup widget allows you to have any widget as a popup.
Or PA halo might work for you.

confused about that. is that a rom or an app???
alternatively, what would work for me is a floating 'event details' widget.
i am seeing a bunch of floating calendars, but what i need to see is the event details in a floating widget.
anybody seen anything like it?

Notification forwarder SM2 using notification service?

I have looked but haven't found any notification forwarder using the Android 4.3 notification service instead of the accessibility service. Should improve notifications on watch I hope. Does anyone know of any SM2 that's using this for 4.3?
BR
Just found Wristn, it can be registered as a NotificationListenerService and an Accessibility service also. I'm going to test it for a few days but it looks promosing. If it isn't then I'm going to write one because it is really just a few hundred lines of code.

Watchit is the best. It now supports notification service and is the only one which allows to block unneeded notifications from Smartwatch itself.

Yes, watchit now supports notification service. But it still just picks up what is shown in notification bar. Ie when I have multiple Hangouts ongoing it will just show that I have x messages in that and that hangout. I thought that it was possible to intercept the notification itself and send that to the smart watch not being dependant on what the notification bar shows.
