Hi! I installed google edition 4.3 v2.1 rom on my i9505 and I see that there is no option to move the apps to the sd card. Is there any way to do this at this moment?

In short, no. Google seems to be moving away from supporting external SD cards. The option to move apps to an external SD card is gone with Android 4.2. There might be some custom ROMs or mods that do this though.

For rooted phone, I think you can try Link2SD first. But yeah, Custom ROM is a nice thing to play with.
Nope, link2sd says that my phone is not alowed or something like this. So, i think i will stick with 8 gb internal storage and move only media to sd. Thanks anyway!

About Link2SD, you have to partitioning your SDcard first. I am sorry I can't post link about tutorial to partition SDcard. Just search it on Google. Good luck..

Today I was browsing the Google Play Store for apps to install on my new Galaxy Tab 2 7", but after a while of downloading and installing I've been greeted with the wonderful "Insufficient Storage Available" error. The weird thing is that my extsdcard has 12gb+ of free space and my internal memory has 4gb+ to use. I've cleared my cache and fixed permissions in CWM Recovery but nothing has worked. I'm currently running CM10 Nightly build for 12-14-12 and that was my first ROM installed on this device. I'm also running the corresponding CM10 kernel. If anyone could help me, I would be greatly appreciative!

It is a simple script that swaps your internal and external SD's - allowing you to use external as primary

Do you know if it works with other CW10 ROMS (like the ones in this forum)?
I've used it on both CM and Paranoid 4.1 roms - as well as most of the other available customs, including the mostly stock versions. I saw your post in the general forum . and cannot reply to the 4.2 question
I have not really tried the CM 10.1 Unofficial ROM yet

Alright, thanks for the quick response! :good:
okay. so i have:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7'' (8gb internal / 32gb microSD external) running Jelly Bean 4.1.1
1-. i rooted it
2-. partition the microSD leaving (1st partition with 28gb FAT32 / 2nd partition with 1gb ext2)
3-. downloaded Link2SD and linked to the ext2 partition
4-. linked almost every app (screenshot)
yet the info in "storage" says i'm storing everything in the internal memory (screenshot).
i linked "Fifa 12" to external SD and started downloading it (aprox 1.2gb) and while it downloads i can see how the free space from the internal storage goes down.
am i doing something wrong?, thanks in advance!
here i add a screenshot showing that partition i made (i did it fine as far as i know)
please...anyone? =(

so we're stucked until someone modifies the Swap SD card mod for jelly bean?
i decided to add some videos and books manually to the SD card to at least do "something" useful with the tablet and now i get an error at the google play store.
i've had this thing for a couple of days and i'm sick of it. i should have go the nexus 7 32gb, only if i knew before...

Hello,
I just purchased a pre-owned Galaxy Plus 7.0 in perfect condition for £85.00 as I've been on the look out for a tablet recently for browsing, checking emails and playing some games.
I haven't been able to find many reviews online of this tablet but how does it run in general? Is it nice and smooth without lags? Is web browsing and playing games a smooth experience?
Thanks
The G Tab Plus is a very good tablet, even is more powerful that the Galaxy Tab 2, that is newer.
Anyways some more new device could be better ( like Nexus 7) I really like the G Tab Plus.
Thanks for the reply - For performance, which firmware is the best one to go for? A custom or stock ICS?
Cheers

Do you have the GT-6200 or the gt-6210 (or a different version? The 6210 is wifi only.) Jellybean was officially released for the 6200 very recently. Skype works. Other apps that you might find beneficial is tablet talk and groove IP if you want to be able to receive & send texts from your tablet with your phone number & groove IP lets you make phone calls using your google voice number. The tablet runs good especially after being updated from honeycomb to ics. I have mine completely full and it still runs good (using stock ROM & firmware but overclocked it a little bit.)
The only other recommendation I can think of is if you want to be able to move files from your internal storage to your ext SD card you should follow this guide. Without the mod you can only move files to the SD card from a computer (& like most tablets & newer phones apps2sd doesn't work. You could use a directory bind app but I have not tried any.)

I don't understand well that, I can move file to and from SD card to internal whenever I want and I never use any fix for that. Or are you talking just about moving apps to SD?
BTW I have the p6210.
Like Grandpa says, "If it works, don't fix it." This was a problem on Honeycomb, I think it must have been fixed on ICS.
the best thing can this tablet do is playback video that my opinion
I have a Samsung Galaxy S II plus running 4.2.2. Most of my apps are installed into my internal memory which shows up as my emulated sd card even though I have a 16gb class 10 sd card. I understand this is a Samsung design feature. I have two questions.
1) Can I install apps and save or download directly into my sd card without rooting my phone?
2) If I root my phone nd don't change the OS, would I still be able to update my phone according to Samsung OS updates?
Any help is appreciated. I'm having a tough time updating my apps as it says that I dont have enough memory. I am a noob. HELP PLEASE!!

How to move apps from device(internal memory) to sd card (external card) on android 4.1.2 jelly bean?
Sent from SM-t210r RocketTab v2.0 with latest mk1 kernel using Tapatalk
Depends on the phone, a lot of devices running Jelly Bean now don't let you move apps to the SD card. Notably Sony's. I think it was something to do with certain apps performing badly when moved to SD, so Google removed the feature on Jelly Bean to ensure performance. Typically you should be able to do it by going through settings - app manager - on SD card. If there is no SD card option then without root you can't. The SD card can only be used for general storage (music, pictures etc).

So can't I make my external card the default storage?

With your device being rooted, you should be able to make your SD card default storage. I know you can make your SD card the internel storage on most devices. Have you tried apps2sd from the play store?

Another thing to note is even if you can move apps to the SD. Some apps can, some can't unless you make the SD card into your internel storage with root which is quite fiddly.

Sent from SM-t210r RocketTab v2.0 with latest mk1 kernel using Tapatalk
Unfortunately that is beyond the boundaries of my knowledge, as I have never had to do it. I have seen it done a few times when internal storage space is an issue. From what I know it's quite a big thing to do and there could be a risk to doing it, so I would make sure you know exactly what your doing before you decide to do it. I would say a quick search on Google should pull up some tutorials. Peace and good luck!
