Download the stock firmware (WW or US). Unzip it once (it will still be a zip).
Place said file where you can flash with your recovery.
Flash stock firmware with CWM.
Reboot.

What version of CWM are you on and how did you install it?
I am assuming you mustve used ROM Manager to update it...See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671598
You should use PERI to push a working recovery and then flash it using that.

Yes, 3.2 is Honeycomb. I am not sure if Wolf's Exploit works on Honeycomb or not, but I would give PERI a try (linked in my previous post).

Is this the password for the Android OS, or is it an encryption password?
If it is an encryption password before the Android login, you will need to do a format data (wipe the entire /data/ partition including /data/media/ a.k.a. /sdcard/). If your internal memory was encrypted then it would make sense why CWM cannot mount the /sdcard/.
Can you install zips from the microSD with your recovery? If so you could try flashing another recovery zip file and see if that works. You could also try to use adb to install another recovery when you are in CWM.

Force closes after Clockwork Install

I installed clockwork and on the bootup I recied the following error.
"The process Android.process.acore has suddenly stopped. I then pressed Force close and it booted up. Now everything I do gives me the same error.
If I try to get into clockwork by holding the power and volume up it says "Booting recovery kernel" and then continues to boot up. Then I still have all the errors all the time. Please help, I am a total tablet newbie.'

Make sure you have an update.zip, and a recovery folder with a command file in it. If you don't have the recovery folder you can get it from most any of the roms. The command file inside needs to say either sdcard, or sdcard2 depending on how you are trying to install. sdcard=interna, sdcard2=external. You can open it and look with a simple text editor like notepad. It does not have an extension on it. Just command....
Someone was trying to do the same thing yesterday with no recovery folder/command file is why I tell you this...
When I look in the file manager on thye tablet I can see the micro sd (SD2) but after hooking up the USB cable I cannot see SD2. How to I copy the Update.zip if I cannot see SD2?

Read my post above. You move the stuff to your internal sdcard. Make sure the command file points to sdcard...
I thought I read somewhere that in order to install clockwork I needed to use SD2?
Put it on the internal sdcard and change the command file check this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892090
You are probably gonna need to wipe data and cache after you get clockwork installed
This is what I see in the command file:

There are a whole bunch of clockwork versions but I would use .8... It works with most of the roms. The .12 clockwork was really made to be used with Bekits Cyanogenmod version that has the memory locations mapped differently..

Good. If you want to do it from an external sdcard then change that to say sdcard2 and away you go...
that would be correct for installing on the internal sdcard
put the update.zip for clockwork and recovery/command on the internal and then reboot with power/vol+
Thanks,
I got clockwork installed. Is wiping data and cache the same as wipe data/factory reset?

So you have a stock tablet? Haven't installed anything but clockwork? Just trying to figure out where we are... And what you are trying to do..
It is rooted still as I have the super user permissions. When I first got it I( had that interface that it came with with was a weather screen. I thought I went to 2.0 but I guess not. I just want to get up to the best version that I should use. I want to have the full market and g mail too.

[Q] Difficulting Rooting

So I just got my TF101 and I am also relatively new to Android. I am on version 3.2.1, Kernel 2.6.36.3 ([email protected] #1), Build number HTK75.US_epad-8.6.5.13, and my Serial number starts with B80KA.
Since I am on 8.6.5.13, I can't use Razorclaw, which is unfortunate.
I have tried using the Transformer Root Toolkit v7.1, but I can not get it to recognize the device when it is in APX mode so I am stuck there.
I also looked at this thread and followed those steps to no avail. Should I grab the OTA update and try those steps again? Or is there an easier way?
Thanks!
Edit: Fixed Serial.
First of wrong serial number.
Use the serial number on the bottom of your tablet or the back of your box.
Any how try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20809986
The link you posted is almost identical to the one I did. So that suggests that I should just grab the OTA update and then root it?

if you grab the OTA you'll get 8.6.5.21 which definitely is NOT rootable with Razorclaw.
seems like the two methods is almost similar but slight different, i would at least try both to see which one work if any.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
You should search for OTA .19, I think it was posted around here somewhere or maybe via google, so you can update to .19 and use Razorclaw's tool.
Well I have 8.6.6.19 (in the form of UpdateLauncher_WW_epaduser8_6_6_19.zip), so does it matter that it is the one for the TF101G and not the TF101?
Also, what exactly do I do with that zip file to install the update? I tried booting into recovery but that didn't do much.

Hey I finally got it to boot into recovery...and it worked! And I'm rooted! Woohoo, thanks everyone.
Now my last question is hopefully more simple. What do I do since my TF downloaded the OTA update? Is there a way to permanently postpone the update install? Will it go away if I install a custom ROM?

If you install a custom ROM it will go away. Alternatively you can install the latest stock ROM with root by installing this "custom" stock+root ROM. The system will be left exactly like you had somehow rooted the latest stock ROM.
You could flash a rooted stock rom or you can go into
Settings>Applications>Manage application>All>DMClient>Clear data.
Could also use Titanium Backup to freeze DMClient

FAT32 is correct format.
Make sure it's on the root of the sd card and not in any folder
File name:
Code:
WW_epad-user-8.6.6.19.zip
EP101_SDUPATED.zip
Maybe try a different sd card if you have one.
Also just double checking but when entering recovery,
are you waiting to see the words at the top left of the screen prompting
you before pushing Vol up.

[HOW-TO] Fix soft brick & error mounting sdcard

EDIT: I solved my own problem. Scroll down to post #8 for the solution.
My problem was that my phone (T-Mobile USA HTC One S) would not boot into ICS anymore, but I was still able to get into recovery (CWM), yet I had no access to the sdcard ("unable to mount /sdcard").
Post #8 below tells you how you can restore access to the sdcard in CWM so that you can push a ROM zip file to the sdcard via adb.
-J
Have you made any nandroids? If you have maybe you can restore. Also check in the download file in cwm that is possible place where that file may be.

Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to make a nandroid backup. My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S 4G, which, like most Android phones, has a removable SD-Card that stuff can be copied onto (and then flashed). Not so here obviously.
Is it even possible to push files to the sdcard using the method I tried when in CWM?
When you push the file via ADB, have you tried placing it into a folder that you know is on the /sdcard?

It just got worse. I got the idea to format all partitions (data, system, cache, sdcard) through CWM, and now CWM can't even mount /sdcard/ anymore...
I had to do the same thing:
adb push "NameOfFile.zip /sdcard
then go to install from zip.
Look on sd card and it will be there.
I always rename the zip files to there can be less errors.
you can also do
adb shell pull "nameOfFile.zip /sdcard
make sure the zip file is where your adb and fastboot is
My problem is CWM can't mount the /sdcard directory, so I can't flash the new OS. Is there anybody that knows how to recover from that problem?

Yes, I just fixed my problem yesterday after some serious trial-and-error.
1) Use the All-in-One-Kit and flash your recovery back to stock
2) Boot into the bootloader and choose to "clear storage" and afterwards to reset to factory defaults.
3) Go back to the all-in-one-kit and flash a CWM recovery version again.
4) Reboot into recovery (CWM). Your /sdcard should now be mounted and visible.
5) Now, try the UTB rom (it worked for me), rename the zip file to something short (i.e. utb.zip), and push it to the sdcard using adb as follows:
Code:
adb push utb.zip /sdcard
6) While still in CWM, flash the zip.
The trick here is that only the stock recovery is capable of restoring access to the sdcard by it's proprietary "clear storage" option.
Good luck!
-J
If that doesn't work an easy fix is boot into bootloader, goto fastboot and use "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and so fouth. In the dev section I seen a stock tmobile naindroid. Download it and you'll have your data.img and boot.img. You should be able to flash them without needing to push to /sdcard. letme know how it works
I know you fixed this already just thought this still might help

I'm also using a mac. if your downloading the sdk from google u go to sdk/platform-tools and theres the adb file.
Next you need to place the rom file in the same folder
then you need to go to your recovery under install from sideload
and then in your terminal
./adb sideload rom-name.zip
after transfering from mac it gets installed directly

that should be tricky trying a rom without installing it.
The only solution I know would be doing a backup before. Then installing it and then restoring the backup.
There should be some other recovery where u can manage your roms. but I cant remember.
