hello guys,
i have a wammy passion z+. running jb 4.2.1, quadcore 1.5ghz 1gb ram 4 gb rom. I have some probs with the device.
1)gps error = in googlemaps when i navigate, my exact location is not shown. it shows the location as 5 km away so i could not use its gps for navigation.
2)wifi-direct= in wifi setting wifi -direct is there. but i cant send or recieve files using the same. i tried 3rd party wifi direct apps to send files. but no use
3)buttons backlighting is not there= so when iam in a dark room i have to guess where the back button, menu or home button.
4)camera app =camera is 12 mp. but i cant get good pics at night. i think the flash is not properly working or it is not synced with the camera.
All i need is a good rom satisfying all these needs (pls add some more features like sony bravia, beats, good camera app, video player)

I'm in the same boat. Forget custom ROMs, I'm even unable to root it. Tried auto root, motochopper etc but it doesn't get rooted.
Are you able to root it? If yes, could you let me know the procedure you followed please?

Hi, since yesterday I have a problem with the phone ... zrootowaniem Previously, I had no problems rootowałem z4rootem then one click and now it does not work .. 4root Games z4root turns and no matter what I click or Temporary Winner of the second root is supposed to do but after a while the application is off and the screen darkened as if I do not know what I XPERIA X10 ... Please for quick help ... I have to make a phone for 2 hours and even root can not
im having the same problem here... SuperOneClick v1.5.5 cant root the phone too
If you installed the latest ota firmware, i'm afraid you cant root it they patched them yet again

Enjoying the device even with its heat issues. Came already rooted which saves me the trouble of doing that.
My problem is I wanted to install cwm on it to make a back up before I change anything too much like I do with my Samsung phone .
Device is unsupported . Is there a way to install cwm on this device ? I've searched the net and come up empty so far. I guess my goal is get a cyanogen style mod for is as I liked that on my little Samsung Europa.

I think so, as long as it is a STAR N9300. If it doesn't, you can always restore from the backup (which we always perform before we flash stuff)

Oh, so sorry! I am trying to fix all the issues, but apparently I cannot find any stock ICS ROM that has working camera drivers.
I tried yesterday to fix the cameras, but the stock drivers cause a FC when the camera app is opened.
Still trying in my free time. But as you know, I am a student and I have another major project competition going on right now (that lasts for 2 months), as well as a Malay test (wtf right).
That is why I have no time even in June to work on the ROM.
Dun worry though, software problems always have solutions.
I would expect a update in July or August, if I manage to fix something.
Meanwhile, enjoy the current state of the ROM! It is pretty stable, and has all the important stuff working....

Apparently, my Windows to Go drive is not booting
I have to reinstall Windows before I start work again.
This thread is officially dead. I lost my N9300 and hence will not be developing on it anymore. I got a Xperia SP instead, and I hope I can do something on it.

Hey guys,
I've got this allwinner A13 9" generic tablet running FaaastJB 2.5. Rom is really good just had a bit of an issue loading the TS drivers for it but once I found them it all works great... only thing is now I'm trying to use the wifi to access an Adhoc signal that is being produced by my phone so I can run a wireless data tether with my android device. The tablet does not detect the adhoc signal from the phone but my laptop has no issue connecting to it.. and one my glitch that came from the rom was that the cameras cannot be used either... if anyone has any details or links to a fix for the camera and setting up the wifi to pick up adhoc signals please post...

My empire M712 is running on this rom and i managed to get TS, Camera...!! It's all working fine.... It took me 3 day's or so...
But it was well worth it.....
extract the original drivers you need from your tab's origanel firmware... And use adb to load them in the rom youve flashed....

where would I be able to find that rom? From what I remember my tablet came with 4.2 or a form of JB was already installed.
Mayby you can make a post where you ask somebody to extract the drivers for you...
Maby someone is still running on stockrom or has made a back up before flashing...

I have a couple of back ups of my original rom... i just dont know what to do with them ... they where made with uberizer 1.7
Hi just flashed MM to my Tab 2 but even though I love the speed of it Sky Q app will not work on it as it wont run on rooted devices even on a device which has root but root is disabled.
So, looking for a rom that is better than the stock but does not have any root stuff on it that sky q is detecting, (apparently a common problem with this app)
Any help would be appreciated as want a newer rom but need sky q to work but so many varietys of roms around don't know where to start.

Have you tired using supersu's unroot option to see if it can remove what that sky app is looking for?

Yeah, if you don't have SuperSu, get it off the Playstore. Open the app, tap settings and you will get an option which says Enable SuperUser. Turn that off and root is gone until you turn it back on
I think all custom roms come rooted. See if unrooting will fix it.
omni and aosp comes unrooted
