Ive just realised that i basically do nothing but read stuff and do Shortyz crosswords on my honeycomb tablet.
I only really play strategy games - but there doesnt seem to be anything truly deep and polished.
Please recommend me something that i can play over the holidays so i dont have to bring my laptop and play MEIOU!
Hi,
If you are a strategy fan here are some ideas:
Gameloft HD games where you will find games like: The Settlers HD and Star Front Collision HD (this game is like Starcraft) and Eternal Legacy HD and other great games
Or from the Android Market where you can find games like Catan, Tank Hero or if you like Tower Defense games you may want to try Fieldrunners HD or Myth Defense or you can even play Heroes 2 or Heroes 3 using VCMI- but you must have the original game.
You also have the option to play 3D MMORPG games like Pocket Legends or the new Star Legends.
Also keep in mind that you also have the Amazon Appstore for Android where you can find games like Plants vs. Zombies.
Have a great day!
No no no no! I want a STRATEGY GAME! Not a time waster or RTS.
Im talking Master of Orion or Civilization here...
I like the game Phage
Oh wow i really like phage! Thanks for the recommend!
But its more of a phone game for fast fingers - not too much deep strategy...
hello all,
I first noticed the onslaught of acradey games over the true strategy ones when i moved from winmob.
There are a few risk like games, but nothing similar to age of wonders etc.
I too am looking tor polished turn based strategy like warlords/age of wonders.
There are a few hobbyist made games which you may like Xenowar ( a simplified version of UFO). There's also a new history channel game called great battles :medieval but it's 7 quid. too expensive for me without a demo.
But most do lack polish and or depth.
I hope someone can prove me wrong.
if i see another tower defence game i'll scream.

You can Download a Nintendo DS Emulator and play Advance Wars, one of the best Strategy Series out there.
(How can i delete my misplaced post?)
Try playing Age of Strategy
Its a pretty fun turn based game that is quite similar to civilization and is quite difficult:good:
Strategy game
Try age of strategy!! Its an awesome strategy game and very addicting!

Yea, exactly! Emulators are the best! Everybody should have them installed!
I introduce this game
I am playing 'Age of Strategy'.
This is very cool.
If you want middle-age strategy game, you must play this.: 좋은 :
ok
Nice game
I would love to see a Dragonball z game.
Use a emu to play dbz for now
A realistic car racing game. The most realistic car racing game we have is NFS:Shift. I usually emulate Gran Turismo 2 but I want something else. Maybe something similar to Gran Turismo PSP.
I would also like another open world game like Gangstar, something similar to the GTA games. Maybe 9mm but openworld.'
Oh and last lastly an airplane games like HAWX. or atleast make HAWX with Xperia Play controls.
Quick Summary
Realistic Car Racing Game
Grand Theft Auto style game (Gangstar)
Hawx or Airplane game
I would love to see a an Rpg with some more thought put into it. Nothing fancy graphics wise, but at least some level of consistency graphically and depth gameplay wise. Specifically what I want would be like zelda graphics meets a bethesda game. Open world (not 3d though, just top view 2d), input on dialog, quest with no specific order, real time fighting, and character / skill customization. Probably not gonna happen though. I think bethesda has spoiled me and made me expect to much from games

Lesee... we're full to the brim on RPGs... old school, new school, Japanese-style and western-styled. Abundant in MMORPGs... overloaded on every kind of Third Person/First-Person shooter known to man, living the dream life with platformers, full of options for tactical games, loaded with simple fun puzzlers, we have a decent selection of SH'MUPS already... and if I see one more goddamn ************* two-stick shooter I might just puke...
...but the one thing we just don't have is a definitive fighting game.
All I want is one definitive fighting game. Online play is an absolute must.
Even though Further Beyond Fighting didn't feel "professional" I had a lot of fun with that, and Bruce Lee surprised me in a number of ways... but I don't feel like either one of them were "definitive" fighting game experiences. I'm thinking something along the lines of how iPhone's Street Fighter IV: Volt would be if it was risen out of "the touch-screen control ghetto" for an Xperia PLAY release.
An RPG game officially released by Square Enix, probably The Last Remnant for Android lol..
or the frustrated rumor Final Fantasy 7 remake for PS3 android
I'd like to see a marvel vs capcom style fighting game

A nice Red Dead Redemption ripoff. Surely Gameloft must already be making it?
A good multiplayer Pokemon ripoff would be good too!
And just some normal platformers.

I did Dbz ultimate battle 22 but it would be better if there was a really dbz game optimized for Xperia play you know
God of War would be lovely to. I fIghting and an race game toe afcourse.
Guys I have posted Sony Ericsson some game titles so can everyone put a games title or a what kind of game her so I can give him the link of this thread so they can know what we want.
A decent management game.
Although I'm not a big football fan I'll eg. Championship Manager.
Closest I've got so far is emulating 'Supremacy' for Amiga/C=64.
Oh, and likes of 'Game Dev Story' don't count. They're ****.
Game Dev Story is a life sucker, but of course it's not a good micromanager. But those kinds of games which require micromanagement have been replaced with Facebook games, mostly.
Europa 1400 for me if its micromgt games Oldschool thirst for power
Got the GT2 Simulation mode going in emulator... I'm good for a little while

Hey Guys, i'm searching for some Games, which you can play for a few Minutes when you have to wait or something like that (e.g games like Angry Birds oder Fruit Ninja)
Do you know some games of this sort?
I searched in the market, but i found not many games.
I hope you can help me
-drag racing is nice imho
Am I allowed to suggest my own? I am not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I'm making a little 2D running game (I know I know.. there's plenty of them) with levels of some sort which can be ran by in a minute or something. Also, while game is still in testing stage, there's an unlimited level, which has no purpose at all, except just running and jumping around.
If you're interested enough to try it out, Market link is in my signature (I'm still not sure about the rules of posting links here).

I've played the 3 Angry Birds and Cut the Rope.
Now I'm addicted to Wind-up Knight. It is very fun and challenging... and also free and without any ads!
The game tries to convince you to buy extra notes (which you use to upgrade skills and unlock levels), but I'm at about 30% of the game and it seems that what you can have for free is plenty enough.
Windup Knight, Tapfish, and Drag Racing are my faves.
Just done playing "Shoot The Apple". Very addicting.
Do u remember the game Simon from back in the day. There is a game on the market called copycat that is just that. Quick fun and a good way to work your memory a bit.
Parallel Kingdom is a great game for killing 10 minutes at a time. Use referral code qeopur to get free stuff.
I quite like Apparatus to kill a few minutes.
Defender
Backgammon
Zombie Dash
Drag race
Gun Bros
Unblock Me
Fruit ninja, jimmy pataya & pixel rain.

I suggest Rain Master -> very addictive and has cute graphics!
Shoot the apple is super addicting!

If you're searching around Apple Store and Play Store for fun games that could save you from boredom, well, I feel you! So, to ease some burden, here are the games I found to be kinda annoying yet fun, and will surely kill that boredom!
1. Flappy Bird
First on my list is the most controversial but sensational Flappy Bird! I happen to download it before it was taken out from app stores, so there's no chance I can recommend you to download it. But oh well, just sharing!
This game is really simple and fun, but not EASY! You'll surely lose your temper and worst, throw your phone away! (crossed-fingers). Good for those who downloaded it, and unlucky for those who missed to experience the challenge of being mad about a little bird!
2. Fishbowl Racer
My co-worker introduced me this game. I first played it on his phone, and I was kinda lured because I tell you it was confusing at first. You need to tap two sides: the right side for the fishbowl and left side for the fish. I challenged my little brother to beat my high score which is 45, but now he got a best score of 235 (shame on me, I know!)
Fishbowl Racer is also tapping game like the Flappy Bird, but you need to collect fish food for points while avoiding the fishbowl to break in different obstacles. Try it! You'll get the same pleasure you had when beat that best score of 5 in Flappy Bird!
3. Rise of the Stikeez
I guess, this game is just released few weeks ago. If you're familiar with the cute collectible figures Ickee Stikeez, this game is the app version of it. I just found it in one review that the manufacturer also released the toys in a mobile game. So I give it a try.
Well, from much of the tapping in flappy bird and fishbowl racer, the game is more of the stretching, AND you'll never stop trying to get out of one level without completely collecting the tiny green balls! I bet this game is best for kids, but I just love it when it gets into my nerves everytime I die because of spikes and that red crab!! Haven't explored much of its levels, so you could download it and play it yourself!
Hope these games help you get some quality time to enjoy and somehow, RELAX? Well, just be careful, because these games really make time flies so fast!
Thanks, I will have a try.

Star Fleet I: The War Begins was a classic game in the 80's that I spent a huge number of hours playing. For History: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fleet_(game_series)
The Author Dr. Sorensen allowed me to create a port of a more updated version of that game, "Star Fleet Deluxe" to the Android.
The game can be found: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fdo.starfleet
If you are a fan of the series, DOS games, or the classic Star Trek Text Games I hope you find the game entertaining. I enjoyed the opportunity to bring one of my early favorite games to a modern platform.

Thanks. It definitely has a lot to pick up on. But after a game or two the flow of commands becomes intuitive. The original game back in the 80s had two manuals with over 100 pages of information, crazy!
Hope you enjoy the game.
