Hello, I'm new to the site and my first post is a simple question I could not find in a search:
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3113TSYXAR that I want to root. Will the how to guide for the P3113 work for my model number (P3113TSYXAR) the same ? Has anyone attempted this with negative results ? Thanks in advance!

There was no forum for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 so I suppose it is lumped together with the Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus. Does the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 have a locked bootloader and can a patched bootloader be installed on it either way?

There is a forum for the tab 7.0... And our devices are not similar, so you probably won't get much help here

The original Samsung Galaxy Tab is different than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0. The 7.0 is newer and designed in the ssme vein as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9.

There's only Samsung Galaxy Tab ( in most cases P1000 ), Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus ( P6200/P6210) and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 ( P3100/P3110 ).
There's an android development section here with a couple of ROMs, so do you think the 7.0 Plus got the locked bootloader?

Crap. I could've sworn that there existed an SGT 7.0 that was different from the original. In any case, the question still stands for the Galaxy Tab Plus, now. Please keep in mind that I asked if the bootloader itself can be patched.

Can the bootloader be patched? That is the most important question. In the event that I want to load a custom bootloader (bootloader, not kernel or ROM) I want to know if I can.

You should try superoneclick. Its been known to root most everything.
For now I suppose there is no section for that new vtab. Hard to believe they gave it a phone like model number instead of a gt-p number.
Did you try it? I'm dying to get mine rooted, but I'd be the first guy to get it bricked if I start messing around with it.

I too have this device and can't find anyone anywhere doing anything with it. Can't even get any answers from anyone. WTH XDA?

Can you help me, I try to root my tab 2 i915 but I can't.
Every time that I try with odin says fail or if I try with the recovery way says signature verification failed......
Sch-i925 the Verizon galaxy tab 10.1. Has anyone figured root or twrp. I am so tired of the jellybean on this tablet. Any help would be appreciated

It would work but the application to use called CASUAL is no longer available. I apologize I should have stated that i tried that.
