There are numerous uses for it. Like if you flash a screwed up theme, our framework, you don't need to flash a new rom.

What I do in such cases and recommend others to do is to prepare a rescue flashable with replaced (original) content. It is as simple as that, in any case you need the replacement on your SD.. nevermind.

This is a awesome tool. Works real good when you need to push files to /system. No FC's to have to try and click through when pushing from within the os itself.

So pretty much all of this is useless. Navigation bar can be enabled with a simple build.prop edit. The new line is
qemu.hw.mainkeys = 0

I would definitely be interested in the nav bars for touch wiz roms. If there could be an "undo" zip, that would be even better!

Sure. That shouldn't be too difficult. What rom are you on?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
This sounds pretty cool. I'm interested.
If anyone wants it done, I'll need to know what rom you're running in order to get the right framework. I can create a flash able zip and then a "back to stock" zip in case you don't like it.

It seems like Synergy and stock (root and debloat) are the 2 big ones. Afaik Synergy is deodexed and the regular stock is still odexed so that would cover both bases.
CM10 please!

I'll start working on them today. Shouldn't be that hard. Although, I'm not sure how the odexed one is going to take. I'll look into it. But for now i'll work on synergy and CM10 (which i already have the framework for).
Also, it's possible to change the height and width of the bar. By default, it's set to 48 high (portrait) and 40 wide (landscape). Let me know if you want it custom.
Here's CM10. "Build-Height+width-Camera remapping"
CM10-Default-Camera: https://www.box.com/s/5727959de8d33b6c1c0a
CM10-Undo: https://www.box.com/s/5e469d885be19bf93766
Let me know how it goes. **********Make a backup!!!!!*********
Oh and turn auto brightness off before you flash. otherwise you'll have to turn it off and then reboot after flashing.

Just tested. No good. Phone booted to the home screen and then froze. Did like a hot boot and the home screen came back and froze. It just sat there like that and did it over and over. I can run a log cat when I get home in about 2 hours.

It might be the key layout. If you have root explorer, extract just the framework and replace it in /system/framework and see if it works

Just flashed this recovery and its working fine. I cannot test USB Mounting as my computer is being stupid and cannot detect anything on any USB. I also flashed Carbon ROM on my Blaze here and it booted up fine. Safe to say that recovery is working as it should!
AWESOME! Since moving to the 4.3 roms I've been looking for a touch enabled recovery that would play nice with the newer roms.

Wow, thx for taking the time.
Just flashed and the usual functions that I use are working great (backup, restore, wipes, flashing). From CM10 to 4.3 ROMs.
Man this has a ton of features . ......
This recovery kicks ass! I finally had a chance to put it to work (run a backup, delete off some old backups, install a zip, etc...) I love being able to run CWM by touch and it's so smooth and quick. It's very responsive and seems to process tasks much quicker! Awesome work Phil3759 thank you!

Thx for porting your recovery to the blaze. i also used it on my gs4.
Is there a setting to update the time? Mine seems to be out of sync so it's time stamping my backups incorrectly.

Hi there
My experiments come to an end. Pls note the steps below
(1)at first u need a sample zIP download it from below link
http://d-h.st/ZYX
(2)download "PowerGrasp file manager" from link below
http://d-h.st/t3u
(3)open the sample zip from file manager(do not extract) u will see
Folder meta-inf (don't modify it leave it as it is)
now make another folder named system under this make folder app(For apk's)now cut and paste any desired apk into app folder
(4)now file manager asks compression level choose normal(6)
(5)Now exit this zip operation
Hurrey u have created ur first cwm flashable zip from ur phone itself
Goto recovery and flash it. Off course it will work just try and hit thanks
-----------------------------------------------------
Hints
/system/app - all the system apps (SystemUI.apk etc)
/system/framework/ -framework-res.apk,android.policy.jar
/system/media - bootanimation.zip
/system/lib - libraries (*.so)
---------------------------------------------------------------
For rom's flashable zip u need to edit the updater script u can do this also in mobile(like notepad++ in PC)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aor.droidedit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HIT THANKS if u like my work. Don't think just hitttttt
Great thanks testing

Why would you need to make a flashable zip of your phone, what's wrong with a normal nandroid? This idea makes no sense.

If u want to make flash able zip of boot animation then u need PC
With this u don't need PC. Understand the thread now u can create flashable zip right from your phone
Basically it can be used to make flashable zips/roms. Or edit existing roms to remove stuff you don't want before flashing all from your phone.

Nice tutorial....
I made this .zip for personal use but after a few hours I uploaded it to share, this wouldn't have been possible without DooMLoRD's work so thank him, I just made a flashable .zip from this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666849
The .zip includes
-Just 4 wallpapers that are named after the PS4
-The Bootanimation (see the video)
-ALL media/audio Files, you will get all the Kit Kat ringtones, notifications and everything
Download it from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/elx6xtlojd9bmp6/XperiaKKmedia.zip
Put it in the external memory and flash it by regular CWM or PhilZ Touch. I didn't test it on TWRP
This is only the boot animation WITHOUT the sound: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3eux1bmytf3mu83/Z2_Bootanim_NO_SOUND.zip
And You didn't like the new 4.4 system sounds? Download the 4.2 sounds: http://www.mediafire.com/download/is8wj9wrvn7sxt1/Sounds.zip
THE BOOTANIMATION SOUND IS ONLY PLAYED IN ANDROID 4.3 AND ABOVE
First!
^ always wanted to say that.
Going to try this zip now.
Nice... - all in one zip - maybe to add one more zip with a bootanimation without a sound (just delete bootanim.mp3 from bootanimation.zip)
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Now for the people who don't want that loud sound when powering on or rebooting their phone here is just the boot animation WITHOUT the sound:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/3eux1bmytf3mu83/Z2_Bootanim_NO_SOUND.zip
(Flashable .zip too)
Love it
