I hope so also beacuse the difference between android 4.1.2 and 4.2 are not so huge so I think (and I hope) that the Nexus S can receive it (of course this version of Android will be the last for the NS)

Its showing blurry images because you are using an EDGE connection (2G)
For the images to be clear, you will have to use 3G or Wifi. Its Play Store's way of limiting the bandwidth, for faster loading of images. Nothing wrong with your phone or ROM or Play Store.

Try this - an awesome experience :
1) get an aosp ROM (I'm running Halogen Mod)
Go to Phandroid.com
2) install the 4.4 launcher, Google search and play services 4.0
3) get the new keyboard (much better than aosp keyboard)
4) get the new hangouts app
5) install deskclock
Profit

Rumours suggest S5 will probably be launched by then. I have a feeling 4.4 will be introduced by Samsung only with S5. Anyway the usual launch happens in April/May.

They wont leave s4 with just 4.3
That would be horribly stupid.
Even s3 had been launched with 4.0.4
But then ended up getting 4.1.1 then 4.1.2 and a leaked version of 4.2.2

Yes. It may be. But surety says Yes in Jan/Feb.
With no further ado, here is when Android 4.4 is coming to various devices:
HTC
HTC One (including carrier models) – Within 90 days
HTC One Google Play Edition – Within 15 days
Motorola (no timeframes yet)
DROID Ultra
DROID Maxx
DROID Mini
Moto X
Nexus Devices
Nexus 4 – “Coming weeks”
Nexus 7 – “Coming weeks”
Nexus 10 – “Coming weeks”
Samsung
Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition – “Coming weeks”
I've heard S4 GPe is based on Touchwiz. I wonder if their sources would be helpful in CM development?

If I recall, the Google Play edition S4 is virtually identical hardware to the S4 i9505 international isn't it? (?)
Could this mean a ported ROM for the non play edition ... well fairly quickly?
I'd miss several Samsung features :/
