I can use this method for most roms with firm wire 3.32...their is one confusion I have is kernel and firmware different from each other?
direct q can I install team venom 4+ rom with this method?

Dear All
I have sensation XE stock rom ICS 3.23.206.151 HBOOT 1.27
Need to :
1- S-OFF
2- Root
3- change the Europian stock rom to Arabic stock rom
I know how to S-OFF from HTCDev website
I have the ICS 4.0.3 Arabic stock rom (Is there Gilly Bean?)
Now what to do? I need steps with links to details
If you haven't already used the HTC Dev website, DON'T!!!!
Doing so will make this process MORE difficult, not less.
The HTC Dev website will not S-Off your device. It will only unlock part of the bootloader. You want the whole thing unlocked with true S-Off.
And it's easier to do it on the 1.27 HBoot than it used to be.

It's a little more complicated, but it's making up for the problems that HTC Dev causes.
One of these two guides will get you S-Off. Once you have that accomplished loading a new ROM is the easy part.
But one step at a time. Get S-Off and if you have questions on a new ROM install come abck and I'll help you with that.

Buy the app from the Play Store. Its cheap. And it will flash the recovery for you. Plus the app is a great manager of all kinds of stuff dealing with recovery.

Prerequisite for soff is you must be on stock Rom
And I soffed my phone after I flashed stock Rom my phone ,
You donot need to run the RUU as RUU will make your phone completely stock
You need a stock ROM

no revolutionary doesn't support your hboot version
other way is to unlock the bootloader from htcdev site
and then use this guide to flash custom roms

Hi I have rooted phone but I can’t flash any kernel. When I try to flash SENSE Bricked-Kernel-3.0 Sensation (Pyramid) (Bricked-3.0-v1.4-ics) pops up an error assert (write_raw_image ("/ tmp / newboot.img", "boot. I Tried to flash with ClockworkMod recovery and 4ext recover (even with enabled or disbled option smart flash ) and still the same error. I tried some other kernels too: Sultan-kernel-R17.5-Sense-NO-Aroma.zip and Sultan-kernel-R17.5-Sense-Aroma.zip, Sultan-kernel-r23-NO-AROMA-nO-BCM4329.zip, Sultan-kernel-r23-Aroma-NO-BCM4329.zip and the like to install but I do not see any change except that it will not turn on wifi ... did I do something wrong? thanks in advance for help.

I did everything like in the tutorial ( i flash on android revolution), launched the phone system looks like the discs clean ics, and the kernel version is the same before ... and I lost root rights, more free RAM but it's probably because the system is clean, how to check if the rom is installed?

Use the link I gave you in my first post.
Try Installing the ARHD ROM
This has an aroma installation which you can choose the FAUX kernel.
This kernel is able to change clock speeds with an app like System Tuner,or kernel tuner.

use 2.0 ports not 3.0
also install htc drivers
by the way you can use the ruu manually
see step 4 from the same guide(flashing ruu manually) on how to
or you can flash the stock rom from recovery(link in my signature)

ERROR [155 to 159]: IMAGE ERROR
One of these error messages will appear when your device is S-ON & use the incorrect RUU having lower software number/hboot version than what is currently on your phone.

yeah probably you tried to install a ruu.exe with lower firmware and hboot than yours which is impossible with S-ON
about the stock rom i told you the link is in my signature(rooted stock ics 4.0.3)
