I recently received the Anker Astro Mini 3000mAh External Battery for free from Anker in return for my open and honest feedback...so, here it is!
Anker Astro Mini 3000mAh External Battery

The Astro Mini best served my purposes as I spent the last 2 weeks in the hospital visiting my brother. I used the Astro mini to recharge my completely discharged 0% Anker battery in my Galaxy S4.
Testing:
After extensive testing, I have determined that the Astro Mini provides roughly 1900mAh or 73% of a charge that makes it to the battery in the GS4. Anker states in the manual that 30% of the battery capacity is lost to heat and voltage conversion...which would effectively make the battery 2100mAh. I found this to be relatively accurate, given the fact that the GS4 can also lose some of the charge capacity through heat dissipation. It's within the realm of possibility that the GS4 wastes another 200mAh of capacity in the charging process.
My Verdict:
The Astro Mini is GREAT for use as an emergency backup battery! It consistently provides a 73% charge to my GS4. At $22 on Amazon, it's a great value as a quality external battery. It also comes with a short micro usb cable, a micro usb to Apple (up to 4S) adapter, and a quality bag to carry it all in. For my purposes, I choose to carry a backup battery in my pocket at all times. However, this external battery has come in quite handy on the few days at the hospital that I depleted both batteries and fits perfectly in my pocket in addition to my spare battery.
As a side note, I'd HIGHLY suggest that you purchase Anker replacement batteries for your GS4, as I did, as they most certainly outperform the Samsung factory batteries. NFC is fully functional with these replacement batteries as well.
Anker 2600mAh Li-Ion Battery

I also purchased the Anker 18W car charger for my vehicle and it seems to perform far superior to any car charger that I've had before. I'm quickly becoming an Anker fan, after seeing and experiencing the quality of their products...and this is currently the only Anker product that I've received for free...I have purchased all of my other Anker products.

Do you have screen on time and standby time for the anker battery?
I received a RavPower 3000 lipstick charger. Think it performs quite similar as yours. I love that they have a luster gold color, it matches perfectly with an iPhone 5S.
I was provided with an Anker Astro mini 3000 mAh external battery for evaluation recently. I have used it for trips to Costa Rica and Galveston Texas. It is a compact unit, cylindrical in shape, measuring 3 5/8 inches in length with a diameter slightly less than 1 inch. The one I received is black in color. It came with a nice mesh bag case to protect it while carrying it around and a micro USB - USB connector. It has a USB slot to connect it for charging external devices and a micro USB slot to connect it for charging from a powered USB computer port or a wall charger. It easily fits into a pocket or purse. I have used it to extend my S4 battery life while watching video as well as to charge it from less than 1/3 battery remaining on the S4. It has worked great and has plenty of power to extend operation for a considerable amount of time or to charge the S4 battery when it is low. It has a green LED to show it is charging a device and a yellow LED to show it is being charged. It goes for $19.99 on Amazon and is similarly priced at other sites. For the money, if you are looking for a compact external battery that will keep you going to watch a movie, a game, etc. or you have a need to charge an S4 or similar smart phone while away from outlets, I can highly recommend this great little Anker unit.

Just ordered one, thought someone else might be looking for one as well.
Hello, im looking for a good portable power bank without solar charging (or with if it doesnt effect the price) and around 20-50k mAh capacity.
I'd like to not spend more than 20GBP and the product to be certified for safety reasons, im not feeling well to walk around like a jihadist
Thanks
If however, you have a long trip planned or lots of devices to keep topped up, then take a 20000mAh Power Bank. All the portable chargers featured in the list have a minimum capacity of 20000mAh and are capable of charging most phones over 10 times.
I like the easyacc 20000 power bank, coz it has increative two input, which can save half time for me to recharge it. And the four outputs with the smart technology, just like the anker IQ technology. It means whatever devices do you use, it can get you best power. So good for fast charging.

The Zerolemon 20,000 mAh solar power pank is currently listed for $47.78 but if you use the coupon code Z36GZOGN at checkout you can get it for $19.99. The reviews are good and you can't beat the price. I just purchased one for backup but can't directly give you a review since it hasn't been delivered yet. You can find the battery here...

Unfortunately they don't ship to my country
The best charging banks are...
Anker PowerCore+ 10050: The World's Smallest 10000mAh Portable Charger with Premium Aluminum Shell and Qualcomm Certified Quick Charge 2.0 Technology (Black)
or
Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 10400mAh Portable External Battery Fast Charger (16.2W / 5V 9V 12V Supported, Quick Output) for S6, S6 Edge - Silver
The first one is very small for the size and battery mah, it has quick charge and top quality batteries
I'd highly recommend the anker powercore+ 26800
it has 3 ports, 1 that supports quick charge 2.0 (also known as Adaptive Fast Charge) and a 10-stage charge indicator. comes with a nice cushy mesh bag for carrying. 26800mah
on Amazon if you scroll down the page a little there should be a promo code to take off about 25% of the price. in the Specials and Promotions section
edit: DO NOT buy Aukey, they play tricks with the advertising on how much power they can put out, and operate components higher than they're designed for.

yep that's the one! highly recommend it. also I would suggest getting the Anker 6ft. gold plated nylon charge cord because the one that comes with the power bank is very short and won't tolerate much abuse from an incident like taking a full force tug from a hefty power bank being tugged further than the cord will reach. you'll want a tough charger.
I've liked the RAVPower Car Jump Starter power banks. I got one over the holidays on special and the dual purpose has saved me in a few different situations of either dead car or phone battery.
I own the AUKEY PB-T1 10000mAh with Qualcomm 2.0 support for input and output! That's a stunning power bank, highly recommended!
But today I would buy an "Quick Charge 3.0 RAVPower TURBO 20.100mAh Powerbank Qualcomm QC 3.0 Technologie USB-C/Type-C (5V/3A)" With two outputs and Qualcomm 3.0 input and output. Samsung Note 4 only use Qualcomm 2.0 but Qualcomm 3.0 is backward compatible with version 2.0.
Qualcomm 3.0 input should give the power bank an extremly fast charging time (30 min is advertised by the manufacturer).
Just wanted to chime in.
I got an EasyAcc Quick Charge 2.0 20,000mAh Portable External Battery
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0142925GQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_u6k1wbQPDTWJ2
I love it! It has enough power to fully charge my phone and tablet every night for about 5 days. I recently went on a week-long business trip and I used it to charge my phone, tablet, 3DS and Vita. I only had to recharge the battery once the entire week.

If you use a powerbank for your Shield which one can you recommend?
I tried an Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 16000mAh but when charging the k1 the stereo speakers make a high pitched noise.
I tested a Power Theory 10000mAh and this one works fine. Downside, only 1A input.
Next I'll test a Quick Charge 2.0 by Anker.
Ive used the EC Technology 2nd Gen Deluxe 22400mAh, VINSIC 20000mAh and Mi Power Bank 10400mAh without any issues
I use the Anker PowerCore+ 26400. It. Is. Awesome.

You guys all use the big boys +20000mAh.
I've got the Anker 10k, now testing it. Looks nice and small.
