volume on CM10.1 and cm10.2 very low - HTC One S

Hi friends,
since I updated my phone some weeks ago my internal speaker volume is pretty low. I can hardly understand anyone.
Is there any possibility to set the volume louder? Thanks

cm 10.2

there are only setings for headphones, speaker, and bluetooth but nothing for the internal speaker, used to call

When in a call you can adjust the call volume using the volume buttons. Its not directly possible from the menu.

text tone volume.

I'm using Handcent for ny messaging because I prefer it to the stock app, but anyway, whenever I lower the ringer volume, the volume of my text tone doesn't change. Is it that way with the stock app or is it Handcent or am I just doing something wrong? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but on my MotoDroid the ringer volume controlled everything.
you need to install audio manager. this seperates the audio channel so you can control the volume of each independently. fyi your issue is common among android phones, always been that way and its kinda stupid...enjoy.
From he homescreen hit menu, settings, sound, volume, then check off the check towards the bottom.

There's an option in call settings for "Hearing aids" that says it'll bump up in-call volume. Haven't used it yet, so I don't know how well it works.
Granted I'm guessing it's -only- for phone calls, so for music/video playback I don't have an answer for you unfortunately.
Do you mean the speaker is as low as other HTC?
I thought it will be better than DHD and N1...
volume sucks
Low volume is one of the issues that bugs me with Sensation. The ring volume is low even at max and volume trough headphones is way too low.
This needs to be addressed by HTC ASAP in their new ROM.
The Stock music app has a feature called "SRS enhancement" It helps with the sound quality tremendously! It can be used either while listening to music or with the stock video player.
I've had good results from an app called Equalizer.
I changed the hearing aids setting and it has helped a lot for calls.

The "hearing aid" option does help out with the volume not just for calls but all other audio output as well. I guess I must be hard of hearing (by HTC's standards) because I really don't understand why the phone had such a low volume setting to begin with.
Well let's hope the Volume+ developer get it to work with the Sensation. I Just send him an email....
Hearing Aid is annoying because it doesn't help with speakerphone AND you can't lower the volume!
I installed volume+ today and it makes huge difference in sound quality
I think it is now supportable to HTC sensation
Thanks to its developer

[Q] Help - Terrible in-call volume

Folks,
On my HTC Sensation, the in-call volume is so low that I can hardly hear the caller. I always have to switch to the speaker.
My in-call volume is set to max.
I think this happened after htc-sync upgraded the OS version to 2.3.4. My wife has exactly the same model but she does not have this problem. Her phone has not yet been upgraded.
I called HTC. They tell me that it is a known issue and to check back with them periodically. A lame answer:-(.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any idea on how to get my in-call volume back.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Peter
i'm experiencing the same low in-call volume, so i rooted my device and installed the leaked HTC Sense 3.5 ROM and it's better, but not where i want it to be. i also flashed the TMOBUS (T Mobile US) rooted stock ROM and it has a HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible) feature that significantly boosts in-call volume, but you cannot adjust the volume. it's been my experience that volume boosts can be added to the kernel. i wish i knew how to do that... also, don't know if the source code has been released .... wish i could offer more help!

that's not going to work... you have to tweak the kernel (or some other object) to boost in-call volume. (i would love to be wrong, but i tried that app already)
+1 on vol plus you can also trie mikes revolution 4.1 which is the 3.5 sense leak. volume was a major improvement. developement has just started on this leak but i ran it with no major problems

The APP does not affect the earpiece or call volume. Its only for the speaker and music.
Volume + has boosted ALL volume settings on my phone including speaker. My experience has been
that the app needs to be manually activated as it seems to not start up at boot or run in background.

Root your phone and use volume + or dsp manager. Works like a charm. My volume is LOUD

i agree that the program works with in-call volume settings, or the same setting that you can adjust while on a call. the program does not amplify - or boost - the in-call volume like one can by manipulating the kernel (or other objects) so that it's louder. this type of manipulation is like adding an power-amplifier to a home-theater AV receiver. the net effect: on my Inc S with a stock kernel, my in-call volume setting would be level 4 (of 5). using a kernel with audio boost, my in-call volume setting is 2 and at most 3.

I bought the paid version of volume + over the weekend and actually got it to boost/amplify my call volume tremendously.
My only problem now is my new Anker battery is being drained at abnormal rates as a result from using this app. A 20 minute call costs 20=30% of battery life vs. before the app was installed.
Obviously the CPU is getting a work out just running the app. I would think the increased voltage to the speaker would constitute as some kind of amplification like a home theatre system.
Has anyone else experience abnormal battery life as a result from usning this app?

How to get an audio manager like this?

Sorry for my eng.
I don't like the audio manager on GB stock Rom. There are some cook Roms with an interesting Audio Manager which we can adjust alarm volume, system volume and media volume at the same time. I mean that we don't have to go Setting to adjust one by one.
How can I get it? I'm using Gingersnap and I don't want to flash a new Rom.
Thank you so much.
Here use this i had used a long time ago its the best audio manager with widgets

I hope this helps you

Do you mean to up or down volume? If so, just use the buttons on the right side of butterfly.

No..the rocker volume controls the ringer and notification together. I want to be able to have ringer tone loud and notifications silent...that's what I mean..Thanks anyway.
