About k2_u and k2_ul - HTC One SV

When I bought my htc one sv, it was a k2_U. After i flashed a custom Rom, it turned to a k2_ul. So here is the question, is my phone counted as k2_u or k2_ul? And in the future, which downloads should i choose to download into my device? Does it support lte now?

Your phone is still k2u and doesn't have LTE.
I can also make it shown as Galaxy S4, if want.
It don't change something in future, you can't install official updates on a custom rom.

and how can we see it's original state?

If you have k2u or k2ul?
In your original software, if you have the letters LTE on your battery cover for example.

What do you mean by "it turned into a k2_ul"? Do you acutally see this in the bootloader/fastboot ?

Alright, then, cool.
Nothing turned into anything, you just flashed the wrong rom.

thats because it is (the Inspire 4G and Telus DHD are the EXACT same device internally, externally, its only a difference of the logo, the telus one uses the HTC logo, while the Inspire 4G uses the AT&T logo on the back.
The higher build Radio from the 2.52 Korean build works amazing with the ril's from this/the 2.43 Telus build (which are also the same btw)
Never mind. Thank you.

i really dont understand whats going on here. i installed this factory rom to replace the custom rom i had. and after i flashed it and go into hboot, my phone is still s-off. can i please get a factory stock rom that will s-on and unroot? seriously.. why was this rom passed off as a factory rom when its really not? i dont get it.
Is this rom, suitable only for USA networks or it is suitable for the Europe also ?

It is pure stock. You have to s-on seperately before you flash this.

Flashing a stock rom will not remove s-off or eng mode. It's a separate process
Mind you - if you flash via sd method idk.....
Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I want some clarification.
If I run this, it will not unroot my device, just install the update and the AT&T bloatware?

Here are stock RUU ROM's http://www.filefactory.com/f/c87a2330449af512/ and here are instructions how to flash it (STEP 5) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
It's very important that You have to flash a same or similiar RUU version as your phone came with. FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE.

Your RUU should be for sensation (not LE), Europe, your original baseband.
You may be able to identify it from the list above from these 3 pieces of information although you ideally match it to the software version also.
Do you have a nandroid of your original rom to get that?

Hey, I have backup of my original firmware. How can I use those files the right way since i have s-off, firmware, radio,.....
OK there's a RUU in the aforementioned dev sticky that seems to match to me:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.2_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_
So that's for standard sensation, Europe (don't see any IT specific RUU except a Voda branded), no carrier branding, for your radio version quoted above. That's what I would use.

there is no other way to return to stock and unroot
if you are S-ON you have to use a ruu with the same firmware as yours or higher one
otherwise flash another rom from recovery
by the way what problem did you meet when you used the ruu?

ruu works independently of the rom you are using
but i saw you opened a new thread where you are saying that you want to send it for repair
if you are still on warranty then ruu is your only option

[Q] Anyone tried changing MID of your device?

I read that HTC one MID can be changed, also on this forum.
My question is, did anyone here with HTC one sv tried to change their MID(Model ID)?
This will allow us to use the available RUU posted here for our device.

Yes you can change it. Its rather easy to do. However, in regards to the RUU, given the specifications of our K2 variants it is recommended to use the proper RUU. Its not as diverse as seen with the HTC One devices. Though, may be useful in partial to the K2_U and K2_UL devices. However, with K2_CL and K2_PLC_CL, you will want to use them as designed with reference to Boost and Cricket or else you may have issue's.

Yes, thats what I am thinking also. Just the mid and cid, you cant crossfirmware from k2_u to k2_ul or k2_ul to k2_cl or any regarding to k2 versions. I just noticed in my current firmware(k2_ul htc asia wwe cid__044) it can be installed on two different mid. I cant remember what are those since i am currently away from my pc but i am sure that there two..
The mid specified in the ruu of k2_ul europe and the other one mid of my firmware is identical. So it might be using the same hardware i think. Same K2_ul and mid. And so this question comes to my mind.
Anyways. Ill try it some other time when there is already a kitkat update for our device via ota.
Some info for you: asian k2ul contains a different radio.img than european (and maybe more?), so i don't know if its a good idea to do that!

You have a verizon phone right? S-off, latest firmware? If so, flash any other ROM that is meant for the International M8 then look for the corresponding kernel.
I'm on Android Revolution 21.0. If you can download that, I'll share the latest kernel with you. You must be on the latest firmware though!
