[Q] S3 full data, no phone? back to stock still no phone why - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

so i originally rooted, installed insecure boot, and had cm 10.1 up and running fully functional. it was slightly glitchy so i installed miui rom, in the process i erased my original backup from the internal sd. i have no original recovery files. while on miui i had no data nor phone access. so i returned to stock only to find
full 4g data but unable to make or receive phone calls
why?
so i plow through the forums and try this and that. different roms, kernels, and img files trying to get my phone back but to no avail.
im stuck now tried every permutation of stock install
what next.?

Tried this?

[Q] going back to stock?

So I'm running fission, not entirely happy with it. Terrible battery life, and at least once a day my phone stops receiving texts until I restart it.
My problem is, I accidentally flashed an older recovery, and probably cannot use the backup of stock that I made with recovery version 3.0
What do I do?
Simply flash SBF and start over. Make sure you wipe everything after SBF flash or phone won't work properly. If you plan to stay stock, do not flash "stock" deodexed/rooted versions from Fission/others. They are neither better nor faster than stock rom. Simply freeze the unwanted stuff. Unless you plan to play with themes/etc. Then you will need deodexed rom. Not having original stock rom will prevent you from updating using official Motorola updates though. Your call.
i actually messed with it yesterday. i was able to flash my stock backup made with clockwork recovery 3.0, using 2.5.3
so everything is all better.

[Q] Never have a successful flash via CWM-Recovery

Hey friends,
I tried to upgrade and flash my tf to the newest ARHD or Revolver ics roms yesterday, coming from Prime 2.1. Therefore I wanted to use my rogue cwm recovery and made sure to wipe the tablet before i started to flash.
At first I thought, the light edition of the full wipe script from ARHD would do, but neither of both roms mentioned came beyond the first screen (nvidia tegra etc.) after installation.
Then I tried the wipe function of cwm, but that simply did what the script did I believe (leaving the internal storage untouched), which didn't succeed, too.
Finally I wiped my tablet with the "real" full wipe script and tried installing again, and again without any success.
So I used a nvflashable version of the stock ics i found in this forum (I have a B50), which eventually resulted in a working ics installation. I gave each of the other roms up to 10 minutes for the first screen before I stpped the try, and stock ics skipped this screen after 2 seconds after its successful installation.
I remembered, that I already had this behaviour when I was trying to flash a custom rom first, right after I rooted it, but with a different recovery back then (must have been roach's).
So I wanted to ask you if you have any ideas why this happens. I mean, I don't believe that it's all because of bad flashs. Both roms were stored in different locations, one on the sd, one on the internal memory. It's very inconvenient that I always have to wipe all partitions including the internal storage when I want to change my rom and there are only the roms available to me which have a nvflash version.
Thank you in advance, I hope I didn't write too much.

[Q] HELP! Galaxy S3 (i535) Stuck in roaming after root attempt, tried everything...

First, I'd like to say that I have seen other threads on this topic and tried but failed.
I've gone through different roms, stock roms, stock radio, Odin, etc. I attempted to download ADB but it doesn't work on my windows 8 and I've just gone through so many problems that I can't take it anymore. I need help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i535 on the Verizon network.
It started with me trying to root my phone
I used the Odin method and CM 10.1 with Clockwork mod.
Phone booted up and everything and had Superuser but kept getting errors about process.android failing/closing as well as other processes.
I needed Gapps so I tried to flash the one for CM 10.1 and the installation when I boot it up would always fail due to network error. It showed up every reboot so to get rid of the endless failing I tried to change the rom in recovery.
Changing to Synergy Mod
As I went through the installer for Synergy, everytime it got to the wiping data/cache portion it rebooted the phone and failed to install.
BUT, when I went back to CM 10.1 the Gapps screen had finally vanished.
At this point
I had signal but could not send out texts or calls and I had no data connectivity.
Stock Attempts
Tried multiple attempts on this site as well as others, mostly having to use Odin. As of now, I'm in Android 4.0.4 stock rom and recovery with call/text ability, stuck in roaming (little R/triangle above bars), Google Play not opening, and no ability to update software due to no network connection.
Please, I don't know what else to do. I'm going insane and am losing hope, I need the help of you beautiful people.
I'm in the Air Force and it's hard to spend this much time trying to fix this issue, a lot of things are tied to my phone with it being my only communication. I'm okay with rooting my phone again but I need to get the 4G data working first. Thank you in advance.
I'll try anything, even if I have before, and i'll post the results. Any help is appreciated.
If you're completely stock on 4.0.4 try reprovisioning your phone. Open dialer and type this *2767*3855#

Fiddled around with USCC Galaxy S6: Boot Loops, process com.google.process.gapps...

1. TWRP is up
2. baseband G920R4TYU2BOF7/HW version G9020R4.02
3. No Mods
4. Rooted
So I tried flashing the Vader ROM, I was getting boot loops at the language selection screen. I go back and restore from backups my original stuff. Boot back up and now I'm getting the lovely "process.com.google.gapps has stopped" error. I'm assuming that I may need to find gapps for 5.1.1? I also tried flashing XtreStoLite ROM with the Aroma add on. Everything seemed to be working great with the exception of the data and no signal, which I am to assume is because I'm not using the correct carrier-specific stuff.
Go to download the stock ROM for my phone, and I keep getting an error as well. Odin won't flash it. One thing that I noticed is that the stock rom was 5.0.2 where when I got the phone 3 days ago it came with 5.1.1.
At this point, I'd like to be able to get it back to stock if possible. I jumped the gun and started flashing all sorts of things without checking to see if it would even for with a USCC galaxy s6. Any help would be much appreciated.
UPDATE: Problem seems to have resolved itself with the last restore. no more problems with gapps. However I am curious as to if any of these custom roms will work with a USCC variant

p5113, bootloop, stock, flashed, cannot wipe partition(failed!)

New to forums, new to actually getting into tablets, hardware, firmware etc. Have never attempted flash etc, but am diving in.
Using Odin 3v1.85 I flashed 4.2.2 stock firmware P5113UEUCMK3_HOME.tar.md5 *** I am actually unable to find anyother stock firmware, was hoping to get 4.1.1, but can't find it.
Failed to flash first time, purchased a new cable, successfully flashed 2nd and 3rd times...but it continues to go into bootloop.
In recovery mode I am able to factory wipe immediately after reflashing, but I was unable to cache partition wipe(failed).
I was thinking of reflashing different stock firmware instead of what I have, but I can't seem to find anything else.
I am trying to do stock firmware first and learn my way around that prior to diving off into custom stuff. Regardless, willing to do what is necessary to get this workhorse goin again. Just spent 20 bucks to replace the battery! lol
