[Q] P3110 stuck in logo after flash - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I followed this tutorial (http://mobigees.info/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-7-0-gt-p3110-3110/) and my tablet is now stuck in the logo screen. Seems like the pit file screwed the partitions. Can I fix this without loosing all the data? If not, can I flash a stock+root rom to recovery it?
Thanks.

Till you can enter Odin mode, you are safe. If you can boot into recovery its still better, flash a stock rooted rom from recovery.

Yeah, I guess that is the best bet. I was hoping to save the app data, since I could do a backup from CW, but nothing works to actually boot the tablet. Flash a kernel is the only thing left, before flash a full rom and lost everything. Silly mistake.

Now I feel like the wrong piece is the kernel. The tablet is still stuck in the logo screen, but it begins a MTP protocol with the PC. More interesting yet, I can do a CMW backup, so it can read the partitions. Is there a kernel for P3110/4.1.2 that I can flash?
Update: I got the stock kernel (boot.img) at http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P3110 and flashed via heimdall. Everything is fine and I haven't lost anything.

[Q] help please dont know what happened to my skyrocket

I picked up my phone and had tons of force closes and could not get the phone to respond. I pulled the battery and waited. Then tried to start the phone up again and it will not get past the "rethink possible" screen. It keeps looping on that screen and will not start. I was running stock 2.3.6 rooted only with the cwm recovery.tar flashed. My phone had been working great for a month, the length that I have had it. I can still boot into cwm. I tried formating data/cache/dalvik. Phone still would not boot. I decided to erase my emmc and remove the sd card and sim card and restore my phone with odin to uckj2 and again it is still stuck on the "rethink possible" screen. Any help is greatly appreciated.

go into download mode and flash again
There seems to be an ongoing problem with our cwm recovery. This has happend to many of us. To the point where even an odin stock tar flash did notnresolve it. What you need to do is flash thebstock recovery tar...then boot into stock recovery and wipe data and cache. Then boot back into the rom you have. And use rom manager to flash the tmobile samsung galaxy s2 cwm recovery. That will fix your problem. I know of 4 others who have had the same issue
As well as myself and we were all able to recover from it. Using the steps i mentioned.

Silver03wrx: is the problem that this CWM was written for the T-Mobile T989 and not the I727 Skyrocket?

Most likely.

Thanks silver03wrx! Worked like a charm!

weird boot loop issue

ok. the phone will not completely boot into a rom (stock or custom). but i have wiped all data, cache, dalvik MANY times, i have flashed stock kernel and rom from samsung. this will start to load the 4G LTE boot animation and just hangs there all night. i have tried the [ROOT] VRALEC Bootchain - Allows us to Odin a custom recovery method and flashed a stock rooted rom also, just either hangs at the 4glte boot screen or just reboots over and over never getting passed the samsung logo at initial power up.
I have tried beanstown, i have tried everything i can seem to find on the forums. same 2 outcomes. I am using ODIN, and i have never had issues with this before (usually test something out every 2-3 days tops).
is there a chance somehow my partition table is all screwed up? i am lost with ideas at the moment.
lol. has this scared everyone off?
does any one have a stock backup of the NANDROID from their phone? i would be great if they could hook me up as i am in desperate need of one.
bump for ANYONE with any ideas on this first post
did you make a back-up? if not, download root66 to your computer and ODIN to that, if you can get into download mode

i can get into download mode, and i have used odin to do root66. reboot and same thing happens and hangs. also flashed stock kernel.
I do not have my backup because either it has erased my internal sd card, or it is not accessing it.

Tab won't BOOT stuck on splash screen

(SOLVED) I flashed the CWM tar file via Odin and wiped cache and davlik...booted up normal.
HELP!
I recently bought a GT-p6800 to use as a phone option. I wanted to root the ROM so I applied the universal root for ICS method and the device was rooted without any issue.
Here is where my problem exists
I wanted to backup the stock rooted ROM so I used GOOMANAGER to flash TWRP 3.4.0.0 on the device through the use of the GOO app. The process seemed to work according to the app.
When I rebooted into recovery, the tablet stuck on the splash screen logo Samsung galaxy tab 7.7. NOW I am unable to get the tablet to BOOT or get to a recovery. HOWEVER I am able to get into the download mode.
My thoughts are that I could recover the STOCK recovery by flashing it via ODIN?
Any thoughts that could help. I am posting here rather than trying something unnecessary.
Thanks in advance.
This exact same thing just happened to me. Haven't used odin before. Can you tell me exactly how you restored your tab? I sourced the CWM TAR file.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] soft brick when I flash ANY rom/firmware

When I flash merely anything, my tablet gets stuck on the Samsung boot logo (I have waited, and waited, and waited, until the battery dies). Sometimes even installing ClockWorkMod Recovery (official) will do this. But I managed to get the latest official CWM flashed. But I can't get ANY other rom to work. Even roms I have successfully flashed before.
Note: If it flashes it gets stuck at the Samsung boot logo. But I have also had it not flash sometimes too, giving me error code 7 in CWM which is an authentication/permission/certificate problem.
I am going to try right now using Odin to flash to stock, and work from there, maybe it will completely clean out any crap in the memory.
My tablet is the P3113 model.
Ok! So after flashing stock rom, then cleaning all the cache stuff, then attempting to install CM it fails with CWM Error code 7. And when I just reboot system, it gets stuck at the boot logo. Damn, I get stuck there without even flashing!!
Well, I may have figured it out..... ummm i guess *cough! cough!* I somehow changed kernels *cough! cough!* dang, my allergies! Hahaha, anyways, I flashed a kernel compatible with stock rom and cm10.1 and it has gotten past the flash of cm10.1 and seems to be booting up right now.

[Q] Stuck at Samsung logo during boot even on stock rom

I have soft bricked and then recovered a lot of devices but this one has me stumped. I tried to install a custom kernel that I compiled myself using odin. When that didn't work I tried to copy the image using dd. My theory is that I wrote to the wrong block device and broke something. When it wouldn't boot I figured it was no big deal, I'll just revert to stock. I have tried flashing the stock rom with Odin and by using Kies emergency recovery. Both seem to succeed but whenever I boot I just get stuck at the samsung logo which displays on the screen forever. I can still get into download mode and recovery mode just fine.
Things I have tried:
- Factory reset (I've done this many times from stock recovery and TWRP)
- Cache wipe (Also tried several times from stock recover and TWRP - in TWRP I tried all the different wiping options)
- Flash stock ROM
- Turn off device and wait for more than an hour (since there is no way to do a battery pull)
My understanding is that the bootloader must be functioning otherwise I would not be able to get as far as I do. And since flashing stock ROM doesn't do anything there must be a partition with corrupt data that is not being rewritten when I install the ROM. Any ideas what this might be? Are there any resources I can use to completely repartition the device?
Any ideas are appreciated.
I fixed my problem so I just though I'd post the solution here in case someone finds this on Google or something.
It seems that I did indeed corrupt a partition that is not rewritten when you flash a stock rom or do an emergency system restore with kies (which I believe does nothing more than download the stock rom and then flash it). I actually had to buy a second device and use dd to copy over all the partitions and then returned the second device
So if you have this problem you might have to ask someone on this forum to give you an image of whichever partition you broke.
